To begin with, upon walking in, I was immediately greeted, warm and genuinely, by both associates. The store was very neat, and well put together. For what from the outside appeared to be a relatively small store front, I was pleasantly surprised at the wide amount and different variety of clothing there was to choose from. I'm not a great shopper. I'm more used to wearing old bleach stained shirts with(unintentional holes). I was a bit out of my element, and slightly embarrassed. Both woman made me feel immediately welcome and at ease. They started by asking me some questions about my general style (non-existant)and what I thought I'd feel comfortable in. They both got to work pulling various items, like experts, with ease, and neatly placing them in a dressing room. They helped me through out the entire process. They made me feel comfortable, not rushed or pressured. I ended up buying several pieces, that I was thrilled over, and in addition, they happily help additional pieces I wanted, but wasn't able to purchase until the next day after I got paid. My one and only little downside, was I did feel the cost of the clothing was quite pricey. Unfortunately, that will keep me from being able to frequent the store as frequently as I truly would like. If it were not for that, I would hands down have given 5 stars! I highly recommend Torrid!

I didn't buy anything on this trip. I stopped by after dinner at Taqueria Los Comales next door. She said I was the second person today to ask her about bathing suits. I'm going to Mexico next Tuesday, so I was needing an extra bathing suit for the pool and the beach. Instead of saying they didn't have any and let me go, she suggested that I check out a department store like Walmart, Target, etc. I can truly appreciate such stellar customer service, especially since I've been in the retail industry. She wasn't super salesy either, some places will try to upsell you on accessories or clothes you don't need. Because of this experience, I'll definitely be back in the future for outfits. They have a lot of beautiful clothes that are also affordable, and that's what initially caught my eye. Kudos to their marketing and merchandise team for grabbing my attention from afar. I'd recommend this clothing store to anyone in the area looking for plus size fashion, lingerie and women's clothing. They're a store that's inclusive in terms of having clothing for women of all shapes and sizes which I can also appreciate seeing.
