One of the best Mexican restaurants in the AV area. So far, everything I've tasted here has been delicious. The atmosphere is great. The staff members are very friendly and courteous. My fave? Great service and great food. Since I've been coming to the tortilla Grill I have had the chicken flautas, chicken tacos, carne asada tacos, bean and cheese burritos and chicken burrito. All of the food has been great with the exception of the chicken burrito I had last night. It was my first time getting it so I don't know if this was an off night but it was dry and tasteless and I was very surprised. I'll come back but I won't get the chicken burrito anymore. read more

If you're looking for a clean and delicious Mexican food option, you should definitely give this place a try. They have carne asada fries (they call them Cali fries) and their salsa bar is boss. If you're eating in, they even bring you tortilla chips to munch on while you're waiting for your food. I'm not sure how to write this review . The food is okay the service is nice at best. The meat lacks flavor so the tacos are not that great. I love Hispanic food so much that my family jokes about how I was born into the wrong culture anyway the meat is flavorless every single one I've tried them all. They're close by to me so I'm always hoping that at least one of them would be good but it's not. So why am I giving them a four? Well this is the only place I've seen a whole fried fish being offered so one star there. The pozole is the absolute best I've ever had I love eating it when I'm sick the best ever no joke so one star there. This place is okay. The chips are somewhat stale, and my asada taco had a strange taste. The cow my taco came from must of put up a fight because the meat was super tough. The salsa bar is adequate nothing to go ape sh*t over. My friend seems to have enjoyed the place enough to put a dent on her plate. She was also starving however. Cops love to eat here for some reason, both times when I visited the restaurant there were cops eating and dishing out strange glances at everyone entering the place. Noisy, loud comes to mind first. Tv was blaring Rehab addict. The lady behind me telling on the phone she had to cancel her appointments cause she had her daughter and needed to take her to day care. Then she proceed to yell all of her opinions about her friends and her plans. STFU was all I could think. The lady a table away was making lasagna and garlic bread for dinner which she yelled. The taste of their Carne Asada burrito and tacos is reminiscent of another great and well-known restaurant back in LA, King Taco. Carne asada burrito with a horchata-OMG!!! This is a review that comes from a person who was born and raised in East L.A., recently moved here from the SGV, EMBRACE my Mexican culture...So I know a thing or two about Authentic-tasting Mexican food.
