Tortilla Grill is a tiny counter-ordering restaurant with very nice staff. It seats about 40, there are two TVs, about four booths and about the same amount of tables. You can do groups, but I really wouldn't recommend groups larger than 6. To the right of the ordering counter is a nice little salsa bar including; 4 types of salsa, pickled jalapeños, radishes and one more item I can't remember at the moment. Since it was our first time there, we went with what we would usually order at a Mexican restaurant (quesadilla and taco combo all asada and a carnitas burrito and asada taco combo). The combo meant we got rice and beans. All in all, it was pretty good. I felt the meat was a better quality than most. Thankfully they can cook beans (bad beans = bad everything else), unfortunately my wife thought the beans were a little bland. My only issue out of this whole experience was their portion sizes. It really seemed like they were rationing for some unforeseen disaster. Usually at a Mexican restaurant you have to tell them to stop with the beans, not so much the case here. Also, not to mention the rationing of cheese in the quesadilla (there were a couple of mouthfuls of just tortilla). But, in the end, not bad. Three stars is a little low, and 4 would be too high; definitely a 3.5. Enjoy everybody!! read more

The place is under new management since last time I went three years ago, and I'm impressed with the improvements the new owner have made. The food is really good, I tried a free sample of the pozole verde and it was really nicely balanced and flavorful. My dinner was good too, not excessively greasy like a lot of other Mexican places. What I was most impressed with however was the service! Everyone was so nice and the man that took our order came to our table to check up on us and make sure we were having a good time. The waitress was quick to refill our drinks and get us anything else we needed, it was a really nice dining experience. I will come back not just for the food, but for the service. People who care so much about their diners deserve to be successful and they were all really wonderful. read more

My wife and I love going here. I see a few complains here about their burritos, and let me tell you something if you know exactly what you want they will give you just that. I always get a Carne Asada burrito, rice, salsa, Pico de Gallo, sour cream, guacamole, cheese, and lettuce with NO beans... best thing ever. like I said, order exactly what you want and you won't be disappointed. I've never felt so compelled to write a review on Yelp before, but to not wrote one for this place would be grossly unfair. From the gentleman at the counter who made suggestions and took our order to the staff that stopped-by our table to ask about food and to inquire if we need anything, everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. We ordered taquitos and carne asada. Both items were very good. I'm not a big fan of beans and rice but these beans and rice were the best I've had. Salsa was amazing and the self-serve salsa bar was clean and well organized. It is very obvious that these guys are passionate about what they do here. Note that at 11:10 a.m. on Sarurday the parking lot was full and all the tables were occupied. I can only imagine how busy they must get during peak business hours. We ordered different food one of the items we ordered was their Gorditas combo it came with rice beans and one taco de lengua of course it's your choice what type of meat you choose. My daughter and husband said it was good the only thing was that the Gordita didn't have much meat and the Gorditas were too thick look nothing like what was on the picture on their menu. The other item we ordered was the green cheese enchiladas they were good the green chili was tasty. Then sopes they were good and big. Their fish tacos are delicious with that little creamy sauce they give you. Kids ordered carne asada tacos they look good and taste good they had a good amount of meat. This is a damn good spot. I tried the Pozole Verde and it was a bit spicy, a bit tangy .. just perfect for my taste buds. Only thing I didn't like about it is that it's a chicken pozole.. but that's my fault for not asking what it was made of.. overall it was good, I definitely enjoyed it. I've tried their burritos and tacos , and really enjoyed them, they have a good selection of salsa which is very good and this purple onion that is a must have along with some tacos .. overall I really like their food and intend on trying their whole menu. read more

I love eating here or at least taking out . Love the quesadilla and hot sauce here . Only issue with this place is when you order online through postmates they charge you for salsa and it's not exactly fair considering if you pick up the food here it's an open salsa bar . I caught the issue when I went into to pick up food for myself and I always order the same thing so the bill was about $5 dollars below what I usually pay and that's including delivery fee . So that night I went home and reached out to postmates and they sent me all the receipts for previous orders and sure enough 4 to 5 for salsa lol . read more

Now I know why this place has such great reviews. I got the burrito and taco combo and my wife got the chicken enchiladas combo. Both of us were pretty satisfied. Taste better than the other Mexican shops around town. Place is clean inside and friendly customer service. I didn't try the Portos desserts but think it's cool they bring them down daily because who doesn't like Portos lol. Overall fresh tasting and good size portions with average prices. Tried this place out today and they did not disappoint. We ordered the medium sized bowl of menudo and the burrito plate with taco, rice and beans on the side. The menudo was very flavorful, good on portion ratio with the hominy and pancita (menudo meat). Most places wouldn't give you a proper portion and uneven hominy to pancita ratio. The burrito was of Al Pastor meat and it was too very flavorful. It is what Al Pastor should taste like, marinated with a few bites of sweet pineapple and onions. Very pleased with the overall experience with our taste buds. The location is fairly small, and few seats on a busy day, but the food overcompensates for the cramped space. Salsa bar is well stocked with fresh salsas and garnishes. Could not find a single thing to really complain about. Will be coming back for seconds, thank you for the food. read more

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in the Antelope Valley. I have eaten Mexican food all over the the US and Mexico and this is on top of the list. The owners are some of the nicest people. Service is great they have memorized my request and when I walk in the door they start getting things ready. The chicken tacos, pasole soup, are the best I have had in the Antelope Valley.
