Fun pizza night at Tortorice's Pizza on Grand in West Town. The team was so sweet and Billy was super friendly which made the experience great. We got the veggie thin crust pizza and the deep dish with hot honey. The caramelized crust on the deep dish was really good and the hot honey added the perfect touch. The homemade mozzarella sticks were my fave of the night and the cheesy garlic bread and jalapeño poppers were delish. Love that they are BYOB and there is a parking lot which is amazing for the city. Also a great spot for groups with their party room.

This is the guys who was super rude!! If he's your server please avoid

would rate Tortorice's Pizzeria a 5 based on the food alone, because everything we ordered was really good. Unfortunately, the service completely ruined the experience. The manager was extremely rude, the staff looked miserable, and the overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable. What really crossed the line was a staff member insulting my friend for bringing in water--even though it's BYOB. To make matters worse, she's pregnant, so the comment was not only unnecessary but completely insensitive. I would definitely recommend ordering takeout instead of dining in. The food is worth it, but the service is unacceptable.

If you like the old Johnnie's pizza on western Ave try their thin crust it's great the crust is even better than Johnnie's pizza crispy and crunchy. We'll definitely be back.

Place was decent. If in the area & im starving I'd indulge but I wouldn't break my neck to eat here. Clear indication was the place didn't have a soul in it. Sauce is on the sweeter side. Paid just under $10 for two cheese slices & while my opinion was that it was in the pricier side most establishments won't let you do mere slices.

14$ for Mozzarella sticks sounds a bit crazy but for what it's worth the cheese pull is amazing and breading is delicious!! Like really good and even better with the red sauce. I would definitely come back to sit down and get them again to share!

I ordered catering from here and the team really enjoyed it! Saw a lot of videos online about them. Wanted to try the mozzarella sticks but catering prices was a little high but def would go in to give it an in person try. Would recommend trying them out.

Awesome Pizza spot! Tried the house made mozzarella Sticks which were 10/10. The wings were real good with house made ranch, recommend that too. They have multiple appetizers options including the previous too and jalapeño poppers as well! Tried their deep dish pizza and thin crust pizza, both were awesome and they sure weren't hesitant with cheese so totally worth your money! Kiki was really nice and super quick with service! Lots of seating arrangements and good ambiance. More on insta @thefoodblogie

Loved this pizza so much, I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend trying the Picasso Pizza for a delicious extra cheesy one of a kind experience. I loved that they had chicken and turkey sausage as pizza topping options as well. The best part is this spot is BYOB!

Our first time having tortorices. We went with their speciality that has two layers of dough and cheese with toppings on top and a personal size deep dish. The deep dish was tasty and the caramelized edges were perfect but the price for the size was a little ridiculous and we could have done without the seasoning on top. The speciality pizza was only $4 more for the medium so we went with that and it was huge. Maybe for some people but WAY too much for us. So thick and heavy... i know it's as expected with the description so it's just personal preference but I ended up taking a layer off because it was just too much. Maybe the thin crust would have been ok. In general, the deep dish was good but not as good as others in Chicago and the prices are pretty insane. We paid $60 for the personal pizza and a medium sized pizza. On the medium we paid $4 for one extra topping (giardinara) and there was maybe a spoonful of it on the entire pizza. Gonna be a pass for us.

Normally I hate those kinds of large group dinners, but this was the perfect spot for it. The service was absolutely wonderful. I don't know how our server stayed so cool and calm with a group that size. We got a variety of things. EVERYTHING was amazing. If you have seen any of my other reviews, I always get a meatball when I'm at a place that has them. They almost never live up to my expectation. But this place has the new gold standard for a meatball. It was everything you want. It is fork tender, full of flavor, no chewy ground up bits. The pizzas were authentic and thin. With fabulous house made red sauce that wasn't too thick and overwhelming. The flavor was A+ The cocktails were so good! All made from scratch with love. The ambiance was cozy and comfortable. Perfect for a group or a date. They have a full bar, and also great seating with perfect lighting. This is a new favorite for me in the city.

The ambiance is nice with the restaurant not too dark but still has moody lighting. The entire time we sat down there was a huge group of people waiting for a table, so definitely make a reservation! For apps we got garlic bread and Caesar salad. The garlic bread was a rec from our server, which did not disappoint. They brought out melted butter to pour over the bread. Caesar salad was interesting, it has chopped celery inside which I didn't realize until I started eating. I don't like celery but my sis does and she liked it in the salad. Pappardelle alla porcellino and chicken vesuvio were AMAZING. Pasta was fresh and the chicken was so decadent. Both mocktails I were delish. The tiramisu was SO GOOD. I came here for a business dinner with about 6 others. The only frustrating part of our experience was we made a reservation online weeks in advance and when we arrived we were told that they basically overbooked every night and when you reserve a seat you're just saying you're coming. So we showed up and were told we were going to wait an hour. It sounds like they are super busy, but there are better ways to ensure the restaurant is selling every available seat rather than offering basically fake reservations that don't mean anything when you get there. Someone in our group complained enough about it that they sat us and did honor the reservation which we appreciated - given that it was a business dinner though, I think it was awkward we had to do that. It just was a LOT of work to organize multiple out of towners getting together and to show up and potentially wait an hour would have been so inconvenient. They really should fix this problem. The reservation issue aside the experience was great. The service is just sort of meh I didn't feel like they were above or beyond and didn't note anything exceptional there. But the food..... the food is the main event for sure. Everything I tried I loved. I had just had Italian the day before so I didn't want anything that felt "too Italian" (lasagna, pasta, pizza, etc) so I got the braised short rib over polenta which was a nice change of pace. It was amazing. Some of the best polenta I've ever had. I am already looking forward to the next time I can go back! The food here is outstanding. If you are able to go, I would highly recommend it.

The octopus surprised me because octopus can be hit or miss for me, but they did it really well! The table bread was also pretty good and cheesy. The Caesar was just fine. Nothing special but not bad (which is good coming from me since I'm not usually big on kale). Of course all of the pastas were yummy. The fusilloni was definitely my favorite from the noodle shape to the sausage and cheese. The ricotta dumplings were suuuuuper cheesy which I really liked (though I could see why others wouldn't) and had a melt in your mouth softness. The rigatoni was tasty, but kinda just tasted like a normal red sauce so would probably try something more interesting next time. We really enjoyed the chicken parm, too. Not as good as the pastas, but definitely tasty and the basil was a good touch. We finished with the guava cheesecake sundae. The fritto misto was ok, the breading tasted like it was old or had been sitting out. Not as crispy as we'd hope. To be honest felt like frozen calamari quality. The Alla Vita chopped was pretty standard, kinda reminded me of Olive Garden salad lol. The stars of the meal were the tagliatelle and cappelletti pasta. Both were super flavorful and pasta cooked well. The bone-in ribeye was a little on the sweeter side, definitely lacked a crust and salt. I'd pass on the steak IMO. Our biggest qualm was the timing of the dishes coming out. The pasta came out 30-35 minutes after the appetizer and salad which is fine, but the steak coming out 15 minutes after the pasta kinda ruined it. We'd love to eat the entrees (steak and pasta) together, and not finish our pasta first or let it go cold then eat steak alone.. ya know? We had ordered crispy potatoes but cancelled due to the wait. Ended the night with mango passion fruit sorbet with a prosecco float. Big mistake on the prosecco float haha it was so tarte and bitter, would def recommend trying the sorbet alone! Overall, glad we finally got to try this place. Focus more on the pastas and skip the steak. Very beautiful inside.
