There's half off the pizzas on Wednesdays. Came in and it wasn't crowded. Really there was hardly anyone at the time. It's $3 for beers at happy hour. Only a few on tap but they got Krombacher. It's about $9 for a calzone. This comes with a choice of items. Each item is about a couple bucks. We got it with mushrooms and spinach. Also there's tons of appetizers. The Bosco Sticks are among the most popular. Find a few of these around. It's closed Mondays. We haven't been here in over a year, it will be our last. I ordered the hot salad w sausage. I remembered they made their own sausage which was really good. I got sick from the salad which I believe was the sausage , not fresh & tasty as before. I've had terrible abdominal pain since going there and can't keep anything in my stomach. I cannot speak to the service or ambiance since we ordered takeout. However, I can speak to the pizza. We got an extra large thin crust that was half cheese and half pepperoni. Some pizza places really skimp out on the tomato sauce, which drives me nuts because I would have ordered cheesy bread if I didn't want sauce. I was very happy that D'Agostino's did not do that. I liked the turtle cheesecake. It was yummy. The ONLY reason it's 4 stars is because the shake didn't taste like ice cream. We got a large pepperoni thin crust and a pitcher of Lagunitas IPA. It was all good. Not the best thin crust I've had, but no complaints. The beer was spot on! I'm pretty sure this is a chain pizza place. I saw another one in a different part of the city yesterday. D Agostinos is a place I'd go to in a pinch. Is it a place I'd seek out again? Probably not. This location is much smaller than their other Chicago location. The pizza was good, and the bar had a wide range of options to drink. Our waiter was funny and the food did come out in decent time. However, the atmosphere seemed more centered around the bar aspect and what seemed like "regulars". Not a single other person came and sat in the dining room while we were there (on a Friday evening). Chicken fingers aren't a bad choice if your table can't decide on main courses but you want something to munch on soon. It's a very big menu so there's lots to choose. We rarely explore though, satisfied with our usual dishes. There are some good bargains for daily specials. Cozy, fun atmosphere with TVs all around, usually sports I think. This place is understaffed most of the time. I usually see the bartender acting as server. Typically it's not a problem, but patience might be something you need to prepare for. I am a big fan of Dags in Wrigleyville. Great specials,Bingo on Sundays and I love their thin crust pizza. I work downtown at a law firm, and we still have a small onsite staff on rotation during the pandemic. A lot of restaurants are no longer delivering, while GrubHub and Uber Eats can take hours for delivery. Dags is still delivering their own food and fast. I just burned my mouth on my pizza, which I am not complaining about since most of the lunches i have gotten have been cold. They've never screwed up our order, though one time a driver did leave my salad outside, but we called right away when we realized it was missing and they were on top of it. Honestly, the buzzer can be a little annoying and I don't fault him for that. Shoot, they're one of the few places where the driver even comes upstairs, so for that, I ate my ground salad. Burgers are juicy and filling. The Dags chopped salad is my favorite. THEIR WINGS ARE SO GOOD. Seriously, we may or may not have ordered enough for a party and noshed on them all day while watching football. Wings happen. Also, every time you order a pizza, the box has a little coupon on it, 20 of them gets you a free pizza! Kinda touristy. Maybe not as authentic as old, independent mainstays. Obviously, Giordano's is very famous, but I didn't want to wait an hour for too much food. I recently moved back to the city and used to like this location, not exactly sure when they went downhill but I do not recommend coming here. The location in Wrigley is by far superior. The food quality was not good. We ordered fried calamari, which were overly greasy and slightly undercooked as if they hadn't been cooked to the correct temperature and a large thin crust pizza, which was burnt throughout the entire crust and tasted very dry. We went for dinner, and when we arrived the restaurant was empty, which should have given us a clear expectation that the food would not be good considering that the location in Wrigley is always packed no matter what night of the week it is. The corner of Milwaukee, Ogden, Chicago is a pretty interesting corner and I am surprised there isn't more restaurants in this space. I have been a repeat customer of Dag's since around 2005 and they have never been anything except amazing quality food. If you order delivery from Dag's it will be at your apartment in less than 30 minutes and everything will be piping hot as if it just came out of the oven. No idea how they do this but I love it. Maybe they take a page from Jimmy John's drivers? When it comes to their food, you truly can't go wrong. I've tried everything from random appetizers all the way through their menu to deep dish pizza. I can't say anything negative about anything I've had here. Even their ice cream is really good. My all time favorites start with their wings. Get the honey BBQ sauce on them as it is amazing and they just dose the wings in this delicious sauce. They come out ripping hot so watch out for third degree burns. I can't stop myself from eating them right away as they are so amazing! Next their Waldorf salad is so good and they have like eight or so options for dressing but I always get the Italian vinaigrette as it goes best with this salad. Geeze is it good with grapes and candied pecans. All I can say is yum. The main event at Dag's is obviously their pizza and I prefer their thin crust pizza. Dag's thin crust pizza has the best crust I've ever had hands down. It is a thin crispy, cracker-like crust with just a little oven char. Then, their sauce is just like what my Nana use to make when I was a kid and brings a warmth from feels when this pizza hits my mouth. The best deal for their pizza is the vegetarian special, where you can choose 4 veggies as a topping which is way cheaper than if you bought each individually. Pro tip: join their email club and mailing list as you will build up tons of rewards and get discounts in the mail all the time that they will let you use even with their daily specials. You will end up paying next to nothing for this high quality, yummy food. Long story short, order just about anything here and it will be on point and pretty cheap. We've been to this neighborhood place a handful of times, and Dags has consistently delivered good food, decent drink specials, and good customer service. We prefer to sit at the bar (there's just two of us) so there's easier access to alcohol for us, but we have come to Dags with a group of people. I do recommend the pizza over any of the other entrees, but you are definitely waiting a longer time- so order an app. We also tend to order the nachos, which can easily feed 4+. read more

First impression was their thin crust is REALLY thin, which I've been a convert to the past few years. The sauce is tangy and has just a hint of sweetness, giving it a good balance, and their toppings are pretty generously applied and tasty. Much to our surprise, their other food is pretty good as well. Including the burgers and chicken parm, and beef sandwiches and salads. I like that they have daily specials. E.g. Thursday their stuffed pizza (not as good as their thin, but not bad by any means) is 20% off, 2 free pizza toppings on Tuesdays, and a couple other ones. The only bad thing is sometimes they're a little jerky on the phone. But I can get passed it because they've literally never screwed up our order. Besides, I can order online and bypass any human contact whatsoever. Also, delivery times have never merited any complaints either. This is one of best late night drunk discoveries I can think of. They have a half and a full size, if you want a side salad then get the half and the full size is a good size if that's just your meal.
