These people at this company give the worst customer service. They don't care about their customers or products. They charged me top dollar for crap tile. When I received my tile 12x12's in size they were 1/8th out of square yes 1/8 and when I took it back they said no returns to bad! I have pics to prove it, But can't share them on here. I wanted to like this place but I was sold a bunch of stone they didn't actually have. Kevin got my order wrong three times before I completely cancelled and went elsewhere. On one occasion before I cancelled I drove 30 minutes to work this out, Kevin insisted I be there at 10AM on a day I was working but I rescheduled some things and met Kevin, only for him to be confused about why I was there when I arrived. He has wasted my time and my contractor's time and when asking for a refund it has been nothing but constant ineptitude with Kevin. I have been asking for a refund for several days now and the last time I was assured it would get done and he would send an email confirmation. This never happened. If there are any complications you can be assured you will be doing a great deal of babysitting of grown men who don't really know what they're doing. This place is a train wreck and it shows. I have found a few other local places that put this clown show to shame and recommend people stay far away from this shady establishment. read more

This is going to be a pretty straightforward review. I live in Pasadena and we've been trying to find the right slab for our kitchen remodel for months. I contacted Kevin and showed him what I was looking for. He didn't have it, but he had something similar. Which we immediately loved. So I drove down, he spread out 5 of the slabs to show me, I picked the two I wanted, paid for it (the price was more than affordable) and drove back home. She said she would ask the manager and later told me they couldn't refund it because the box was open, like how the hell else am I suppose to know if they're brokken without opening the box. In the middle of a Master Bath remodel & the guys at Tosca made it fast & easy to find the perfect stone. This was by far the smoothest, fastest, & best experience I've had yet! We needed to match our quartzite sink / vanity countertop & called all around Miramar looking for it. Tosca had the best price by far! No sacrifice in quality here... Based on the great Yelp reviews ,I decided to stop by the show room today hoping to purchase Porcelain TIle for my Condo flooring. I was completely ignored. I truley mean not one single person acknowleded my presence. I browsed for 15minutes and left. AWFUL customer service. Also, beyond that little insult, upon entering the showroom which by no means is large the first thing that hit me was an awful smell. The bathroom doors to both the mens and womens room were open as if they were trying to air the smell out. I never review much, but I want to give a shout out. I am giving this review on Cecelia and her husband more than anything else. They were the fabricators after I bought my quartzite at Tosca, who Tosca sublets. The sales people helped me fine, and I picked out what I wanted and paid for it. They were delightful. They held it with no chargeI for nearly 6 months (nightmare remodel). It was the fabrication that was a little more complicated, and what I am giving the five star review on. I had a huge job to do. Two levels. A huge kitchen, and fireplace and bar. They installed everything perfectly and professionally. That night I saw a hairline crack running through the quartzite and called Cecelia in a panic. She talked me off the ledge and told me they would take care of it. Two days later she had me come down to pick a new slab in case they needed it, couldn't fix it. My anxiety was stopped. Cecelia doesn't lie. She took one look at the crack and said that she didn't think it could be fixed. I know she had to send somebody else to try (probably for insurance purposes) to fix it to no avail. After that day, she worked to get my replacement island done in record time. I couldn't be happier with everything! I highly recommend Tosca and Cecelia. Just a side note, don't ever deal with DURICITE Stones unlimited. read more

Excellent service from Cecilia and Omar throughout the process. They went beyond our expectations by installing granite countertops in kitchen and two bathrooms in time before we left on a trip. They were also able to do this despite a last second change in choosing which type of granite. The workers arrived early on the day they were supposed to arrive for both the demo and the install. He does not honor his agreements, did not call me back when he promised he would, breached our contract, and certainly is not somebody I will ever do business with again. What total hypocrites. Very disappointed. I ordered tile and stone for my master bathroom remodel and scheduled the install around the dates of the material availability. My project was held up for over 3 weeks becasue Tosca Stone kept telling me the material would be available the "next day for sure" Each day I would call in and hear, "Oh sorry it will be here tomrrow" My installer lost a full week of work and now has another project scheduled so I have to wait another week for him to finish my bathroom. Total of a 3 week delay without a bathroom! What a nightmare! Kevin finally canceled the order for the "lost material" but did not see the need to discount the other material that did arrive. The inventory is beautiful and diverse, prices are the same or lower than other places along Miramar Rd, but what I am happiest about was that Tosca provided their own fabrication/installation team, and they were AWESOME. As an average layperson with no carpentry/design background and not using a general contractor, shopping around other granite storefronts where I was handed a list of "recommended" installers and told I was on my own to work that out was daunting. At Tosca, I got "Do you need someone to install for you? Walk just down the hall and talk to Cecilia." Cecilia is very pleasant to talk to; she is knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. The installation cost she quoted me was within $95 of a family friend who said he was giving me "the best deal he could do". The guys she sent out to do the install did an immaculate job with a huge, oddly-shaped custom piece. When the sink I had bought wouldn't fit into its cabinet (purchased from R. Harris Custom Cabinets- whose installer I do NOT recommend), Cecilia's response was "no problem, let me see what I can do to help". Even though the cabinets and sink were not her responsibility, she sent a contractor named Dean to help me. Dean was kind and effective; he convinced the original cabinet installer to come back and correct the mistake instead of charging me to do it himself. Cecilia did not charge me any additional cost for the extra time, extra trips, or extra people involved. I paid what I was originally quoted. Great job and a big THANK YOU. read more

If you are doing tile and or countertop slabs don't waste your time going anywhere else! If you are renovating your home in the San Diego area then you know about "The mile of Floors" referring to the countless wood floor/tile/carpet businesses along Miramar Rd....WELL TOSCA NATURAL STONE blows all of them (for tile) out of the water in all aspects! My husband and I just bought our first home and were tiling our bathroom/kitchen/ entry way. This was all new to me so I didn't know the difference between porcelain/ceramic/travertine/marble/limestone, etc. I am not cheap on quality, but boy am I a shopper to find the BEST DEAL and I DID! I went to Abey's Carpet first and tried to learn about the tiles and wanted to rip my hair out, this little New Yorker lady was all over the place, disorganized and the shop had a small terrible display of tile making it impossible to compare the stones to each other, no prices displayed. I went to Arizona Tile found by advertisement on the internet, it had a more clear selection, easier to see, but it the co-workers only help you once you know what tile you want and what your vision is....I wasn't quite sure yet and wanted help with what stones would compliment each other, but they were pretty hands off until you have an idea of what you want/need. This store was okay, BUT 3x's the PRICE of Tosca natural Stone. I went to International Bath and Tile which was TOO OVERWHELMING with possibilities, tile from floor to celining, piled ontop of each other on racks, and no prices, they write down what you like and email you a quote-i want to know UPFRONT! Let me just tell you a travertine i got for 4$ a sq ft at Tosca, was $6.95 sq ft @ Arizona, and $11.95 a sq/ft at International Bath tile!!!!! The rip off from other places was OUTRAGEOUS! I went to a few other places but not worth writing about, just know Tosca was the cheapest. When I went to Tosca, GUY the owner was SO HELPFUL. He took my million ideas I had from the million tile stores I had been to and help me with the design I was going for. We picked out the stones (and yes I went back to the other stores to compare $$ and my jaw dropped when I saw how much cheaper he was.) Not only was the price right, but Guy actually travels to Italy and other countries where the stone actually comes from so his expertise was TOP OF THE LINE! He knew more about all of the stones, which stones tile guys would be able to cut, how to clean them, the care each stone will need, what stone quality is okay for a shower, and durable enough for an entry way, etc. His opinions and advise had nothing to do with my order and he actually suggested a cheaper stone for a larger area I was doing, so he really, and honestly just wanted a happy customer! Once we had the stone he took me into his office where we could sit down and discuss the sq footage and details, where other stores you are standing or dont have a table to lay out your papers/pictures.It was nice to have such personalized care, he was not rushed and took time to give me the 1 to1 attention I needed for (what I consider) a huge commitment. In addition to the service in the store, Guy spoke to me on the phone numerous times when I needed help when my tile guys were giving me estimates and I had questions, and helped clarify things for me via emal, so he is accountable, and available! I went to Tosca and purchased a piece of Venitian Gold. I paid for it, wrote my name on it, they said they would keep it for when my contractor was ready to install it. When my contractor went to pick it up (today), they had sold it to someone else. 'So sorry' they said. We'll get some more pieces tomorrow afternoon. That really doesn't help when you have a team of guys lined up TODAY to install it and fabricate it TOMORROW morning!!!! UNBELIEVABLY BAD SERVICE. Stay away. read more

These folks have some of the most beautiful slabs along Miramar Rd. The granite prices are good, but where they really shine is the quartzite (the mineral - not the man-made quartz). They were almost 40% cheaper than the other places stocking quartzite! The owner proved a bit crusty (prepare to be insulted - it's just his natural give and take) and bumped the price $1/sf on the final order from his original quote, but still a great deal. However, the yard staff were great guys. During the initial visit, I blew a tire hitting the curb as I turned into their yard. As I was pulling out my spare and my jack, the forklift guy came over and asked if I needed help. I said I'd done it once before and just had to find the jack point on the chassis. He brushed me aside, popped the jack precisely into place and had the tire changed in 15 minutes. He wouldn't take anything except my thanks, so I knew I had to give them my business. After I placed my order, the rest of the staff helped shuffle a pile of slabs so that my fabricator could lay up his templates and confirm that we had enough material (very tight fit) and the best piece in the batch. Solid outfit! BONUS TIP: If you only need a single slab, ALWAYS ask any granite place about their "boneyard". There's often a lot of damaged and fractional slabs, but sometimes you'll find beautiful pieces that are just the end of a batch that won't be restocked - at 70% off normal pricing! read more

After thinking about it, when it came to renovating our place, we decided to start with the stonework. The main reason for this was that the fireplace is sort of the centerpiece of a house, and then the rest of the stonework (and everything else) needs to match it. I had no experience with stonework, and had only heard of a few places and seen a few coupons. My wife and I found Tosca simply by driving by. We stopped in to check out the merchandise and were very impressed. They have a great inventory of the best stone in San Diego (how can I say that?--we didn't buy right away, but took the time to check out our other options). Tosca was definitely the best. People that I've known for awhile often characterize me as being cheap. For example, I drove a 1989 Hyundai for 15 years. However, when it came to buying stone, I paid the money. My wife and I picked out one of the most expensive slabs on the lot (Blue Bahia quartzite from Brazil). Stone work is one of those things in life where trying to 'save money' just doesn't pay off. Installation is expensive. Once the process begins, and you are spending a lot of money on installation, it can be very gratifying to know that at least you are installing the very highest quality material. After we selected the slabs, measurements were made, and everything was done in two to three weeks. The installation went as well as it possibly could have. At the last minute, I decided against drilling a second hole in the countertop for the dishwater air gap (and I'm glad I did too). Overall, my experience with Tosca was excellent. Working with Guy and Cecilia and the installers was very pleasant, interesting, and informative. All are honest and knowledgeable professionals who will guide you through every step of the process of selecting, purchasing, and installing your new stone. Now, in late summer, the afternoon sunlight streams in through my living room windows illuminating the fireplace and the Blue Bahia with all of its changing shades of blue and gray, and it is truly a beautiful sight. read more

He is one of those people that works because he loves it and walks around chatting and selling his product. The staff is extremely nice, which trickles down because of Guy the owner being a great person. After shopping at over 6 different granite and stone shops along Miramar, we settled on Tosca for both our travertine and granite. It was a pleasure to work with Kevin and Guy. They were able to show us a travertine that fit our budget for the bathrooms and was still beautiful. Plus they have pre-fab stone tops that are very affordable! They were fair in all their dealings with me and worked with me on a granite that I loved that fit within my price range. We ended up purchasing a honed/brushed granite and we absolutely love it. We were so happy with the selection at Tosca and help we received from Kevin. Now (almost 3 years later) I'm helping my mom renovate her home. Our contractor referred us to a few different tile/granite stores, but after visiting them we went back to Tosca because we felt like the selection/service was superior. We bought granite from Tosca natural stone and had it installed by C&O stone works. Tosca had a nice selection of granite and marble as well as tile and backsplashes in their showroom. I also appreciated the fact that Tosca had partnered up with C&O to address both the purchase and installation right there on site. Most granite shops seem to want to sell you the slabs but then you are on your own with the installation. I recommend the combination of Tosca and C&O if you want to simplify the whole process of upgrading your kitchen and bathrooms with stone. read more
