From the front office's staff of Laura, Patty and Diana, with their advice and support, to Victor's meticulous, exacting measurement, to Oscar and Andres' smooth install, we could not have been more satisfied with ADP for our master bathroom vanity remodel. Their fabrication came out beautiful!

I Love Antonio, Victor, and the rest of their team! They are absolutely incredible to work with and couldn't be more patient, detail oriented, and thorough with their work and their customer service! I have recommended them to so many people including my mother, who also just bought slabs and finished her kitchen with them- she is also so elated!

    Quartzite countertop

Our flooring provider, who had worked with Antonio before, recommended that we contact him for countertop fabrication. Our contractor had also worked with him in past and highly recommended him. Antonio gave us a valuable education regarding quartzite and steered us away from purchasing a slab that was actually "fake" quartzite. He obviously values quality in his work. We ended up selecting a beautiful (and well- protected -this is important) slab from his yard and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. We also selected two quartz remnants for our bathroom vanities. He is in high demand so we had to wait a wee bit longer for our countertops to be installed, but the small wait was definitely worth it! His operation is highly professional and well organized. From initial selection, measurements, approval of template placement, and installation, it was obvious that there is a lot of experience and expertise there. Victor, who oversaw measurements and installation, was efficient and precise. Patty is the office manager and is not only exemplary at juggling all the parts of project management, she is so warm and friendly to work with and has a good eye for design that helped tremendously. Overall a wonderful experience and we are really happy with the final result! Will be recommending ADP to others. Thanks, ADP!

Plywood not included in bid as part of the job charged an extra $150.00 for plywood install under granite.

SPEEDY FOLLOW-THROUGH of Martine Bobadilla customer service for requested decorative crushed rock…read moresample! Although I live in NorCal, KRC Rock offers Barkwood gravel that isn't carried near me. Sales rep Martine took my call at the end of a Monday and said he'd check if they could mail me a sample. The sample was shipped on Wednesday and he emailed me to let me know. I got the shipment Friday, and it's a generous sample. KRC is able to ship the super sacks of decorative rock on a flatbed truck with forklift to place the sacks at my property. I still haven't decided on a decorative rock for my backyard, but I am so impressed with responsiveness from KRC Rock that I felt like giving a shout-out. (I have had much worse experience with another big SoCal company who keeps dropping the ball on my requests, on the order of months of delay with no updates. I have also read many poor reviews of a 3rd SoCal company with problematic deliveries where the material was wrong or shorted.)

They supply most landscape materials you need and have many samples in the store to look at. I highly recommend also requesting samples to take home so you can see how it looks where you want it. Their prices were very competitive compared to other local stores and they offer discounts for large bulk orders. For in stock items, delivery was within 24-72 hours and custom orders took a couple of weeks. I mostly interacted with Carla and Ashlee who were both great. They were responsive on the days they worked and helped to make sure my orders arrived on time. Sometimes the male employees picked up the phone, but they seemed less enthusiastic to help out. Overall, I'd recommend them for your next landscape project.

my contractor brother-in-law's motto could be "well begun's the most work you can hope for outta me…read more..." so, now that we've hired a guy to finish one more of the many, many construction/remodeling projects he started, got paid for but never, ever got around to actually finishing (in this particular case patching and painting an exterior wall he tore up trying to resolve a plumbing issue which also required hiring a plumber to fix), i found myself trucking out to SAN MARCOS for mortar and stucco. any task requiring tools other than a spatula or kitchen knife is out of my comfort zone and these guys were very, very helpful mostly in a bemused sort of way -- not that i blame them as clueless as i am it's reasonable they found my feeble attempts at having anything to do with a construction project amusing. the good news is now, thanks to a little help from FREE BUILDERS SUPPLY and our very handy handyman, five years after the demo portion of the assault on the wall, our home is whole again.

I needed a bag or two of concrete for a kitchen sink I'm making and specifically needed Quickcrete…read moreCountertop Concrete. Unfortunately, both Lowes and Home Depot were out at most of the stores in San Diego. I called around and found it at Free Builders. When I arrived I went straight to the counter and asked for the product. The less than friendly worker started to write up a ticket for the purchase. Now standard concrete is about $4.00 a bag and this stuff runs about $14.00 but it's better for what I was using it for and I didn't need much so worth the extra cost. But I noticed he wrote about $30.00 on his little ticket for one bag of the stuff. I asked if that was what they were charging and when he confirmed it I said "Thanks Anyway" and walked out. As I leaving the parking lot, another guy came out and said...."Oooops it's $21.00 a bag. We made a mistake" I kept driving. Now I'm a reasonable woman and I understand that a mom and pop shop does not get the same discounts as the big box stores so I expect to pay a bit more. But not double! Maybe it was an innocent mistake. Or maybe they saw a woman walk through the door in a dress and flip-flops asking for one bag of concrete and assumed that she just "don't know shit" about the cost of building materials. You decide. As for me, I don't do business with scammers.

Dispatch told me I was wrong, and my team was wrong, because they use calibrated equipment. I'm an engineer. Calibrated equipment has tolerances - operating at low end of the tolerance, per load, can add up to significant under-fulfillment of an order. So yeah, it could be off. I trust my team that actually applied the product in the field. At the end of the day I don't really care, because I was short material for a project - 2 cubic yards. A big amount for me, a homeowner, but a small amount for a landscaping supplier. As a business owner, I would have expected a higher level of customer service, acknowledging the amount of business throughput with my account. I was offered a discount on a future purchase, but in a way that was pretty rude and forced. I declined the discount because I don't really want to do more business with a company that would dismiss me so quickly after spending thousands of dollars for their materials. The dispatch manager chose to forgo my future business to be right about a material cost of $172. Sure. you win, Southwest Boulder. You're right. And I'll take my next $3000 order somewhere else that won't call me a liar.
