Unfortunately, both Lowes and Home Depot were out at most of the stores in San Diego. I called around and found it at Free Builders. When I arrived I went straight to the counter and asked for the product. The less than friendly worker started to write up a ticket for the purchase. Now standard concrete is about $4.00 a bag and this stuff runs about $14.00 but it's better for what I was using it for and I didn't need much so worth the extra cost. But I noticed he wrote about $30.00 on his little ticket for one bag of the stuff. I asked if that was what they were charging and when he confirmed it I said "Thanks Anyway" and walked out. As I leaving the parking lot, another guy came out and said...."Oooops it's $21.00 a bag. We made a mistake" I kept driving. Now I'm a reasonable woman and I understand that a mom and pop shop does not get the same discounts as the big box stores so I expect to pay a bit more. But not double! Maybe it was an innocent mistake. Or maybe they saw a woman walk through the door in a dress and flip-flops asking for one bag of concrete and assumed that she just "don't know shit" about the cost of building materials. You decide. As for me, I don't do business with scammers.

Previously had good experiences…read more My landscape team reported that an order was short by almost half - I called support and was professionally heard and passed to dispatch. Dispatch told me I was wrong, and my team was wrong, because they use calibrated equipment. I'm an engineer. Calibrated equipment has tolerances - operating at low end of the tolerance, per load, can add up to significant under-fulfillment of an order. So yeah, it could be off. I trust my team that actually applied the product in the field. At the end of the day I don't really care, because I was short material for a project - 2 cubic yards. A big amount for me, a homeowner, but a small amount for a landscaping supplier. As a business owner, I would have expected a higher level of customer service, acknowledging the amount of business throughput with my account. I was offered a discount on a future purchase, but in a way that was pretty rude and forced. I declined the discount because I don't really want to do more business with a company that would dismiss me so quickly after spending thousands of dollars for their materials. The dispatch manager chose to forgo my future business to be right about a material cost of $172. Sure. you win, Southwest Boulder. You're right. And I'll take my next $3000 order somewhere else that won't call me a liar.

We had no idea how much to consider when ordering a door and hardware. We are very appreciative of Wendy's time to make sure everything was perfect before placing our order. When our contractor took the measurements of our original doors, that we had to replace, it wasn't a standard size and we were all scratching our heads at the original install. Nevertheless, Tom from GMS came out to our home to triple-check measurements and discuss the installation further. They went above and beyond in our opinion and we highly recommend them. Mary is a literal pro when it comes to the insurance side of things. She worked tirelessly on the supplements to ensure we maximized our RCV payout from our insurance. She caught things the adjuster missed and helped us get the settlement we actually needed to do the job right. Bolo, the project manager, was extremely responsive and reasonable throughout the entire build. Whenever a technical issue came up--even complex stuff like electrical circuit stability or specific plumbing heights--he was there to talk it through and get it handled. One thing I will say for people considering them: you need to be the kind of homeowner who has the capacity to stay on top of the work. If you know exactly what you want and you're willing to stay involved in the day-to-day details, C2C is an incredible solution. That…read moresaid, accidents happen, like maybe you're fooling around near the side of your house and you gently tap the "inspector's test valve" for your sprinkler system. Suddenly all heck breaks loose and you've now got several walls full of water. After realizing exactly what I had done (the fire alarm helped me understand), I called around all the big name companies that do this sort of water damage repair. The quotes I got were ridiculously HIGH. I decided to go local and gave Moe and his team (read: family) a call. Not only could they fit me into their schedule quickly, but they are also a one stop shop, meaning, when they leave your house, it looks just like it did before you broke your sprinkler pipe. Most of those big name companies require you to get someone else to do the drywall/painting part. All the Mold Safe guys that worked on the job were not only related to each other, they were also great workers and great people. They kept everything clean and showed up when they said they would. They kept me in the loop as to what was being done and explained anything I asked questions about. They dried the walls, cut out and replaced the wet drywall and added the matching orange peel texture when they did the final painting. Color matched, perfect finish. And when Ted was finished fixing the hole in the stucco left by the sprinkler system guy (yeah, it has to be a certified professional who fixes anything to do with your sprinkler system, not just any plumber), he went around my house with the left over spackle and fixed several other stucco dings in my house. Above and beyond. Like I said at the beginning, you really don't want to ever have to call these guys, but if you do find yourself in this sort of a situation, don't risk the mold, just call Moe. I do not like to have to give somebody a bad review but sometimes people need to be held accountable for their lack of actions. Let's start off by saying I have used Adp multiple times before without any issues. However last time we used them it was a complete disaster and is getting worse by the day. It started off with them cutting the skirts wrong to accommodate for the thick 3/4 sub top My cabinet maker installed prior to them taking the job. They originally tried to blame me for using to thick of wood ( I reminded them with photos that the tops were in when they did the templates) once they realized they couldn't blame me they wanted to come to a compromise which was putting on thinner sub tops to accommodate for there mistakes ( I agreed since it should be plenty strong with only 1/2 inch ply) once we overcame that hurdle we realized all the seems we're horribly matched ( obviously didn't use same resin on all joints) after Antonios employees agreed it looked horrible he still said it was ( industry standard) after more arguing he finally agreed to fix the worst of the seems off site and try to polish out the rest on site. Since then all the joints that were buffed on site have severely discolored and keep getting worse. I have left Adp ( patty) multiple msgs and have yet to receive a call back. To top it off they damaged several cabinets during installation and are not getting back to us on that as well. Patty please call us read more

I read a number of reviews of ADP Granite, and the one review that I can honestly account for is my own since that is my sole experience with the company. ADP was suggested by Granix, Antonio came by, we agreed on what happens next, and at the end of the project - single family home kitchen countertop replacement with quartz - I was completely satisfied. No sloppy finish work, no promises without performance, or any of what you might expect to go off the path. What do you say when it works the way it is supposed to, besides "great work" and "I would not hesitate to call them again if anything is needed." read more

Recently had a quartz bathroom vanity counter top placed in my Master Bathroom. I had made the vanity and there were curves and indentations on my art deco vanity. They did a perfect job. I choose the same edging as I had in my kitchen granite. In the granite the line for the edging is very noticeable, not so in my bathroom. I would definitely use them again. read more

STAY AWAY!! BAD!! DISHONEST!!…read more I had a terrible experience with this company. Their installers came into our home to place the sub-tops for our counter-tops and cracked the faces of three different brand new $10K cabinets. You would think they would've stopped after the first one they cracked. They were huge cracks that required the cabinets to be replaced. But wait, this is just the mild part of my experience. When I spoke with the manager immediately after the incident happened he tried to convince me that they were going to patch my cabinets where they were cracked. I explained that my cabinets were brand new and I didn't want $10K patched cabinets. The boxes that their workers cracked could be replaced properly for $2500. I spoke to Home Depot and several other contractors and they all said that they should be replaced. I told the manager to please have the owner Mr. Davis call me. When I called back they pushed me off to the secretary. I don't know how many times I spoke to that poor lady. I wrote several emails and made several calls asking to have the owner call me. Why wouldn't the owner just call me? To this day I have never spoken with the owner. Why, I don't know? I guess he is too busy for his customers. When they refused to pay for the damages to get the cabinets fixed properly I was forced to order the new replacement boxes out of my own pocket. I pulled the countertop job from them and had to send them several threatening letters over several weeks to get them to pay anything. They ended up sending me a partial payment along with a bill for $700 for measuring and putting in the sub-tops. Yes, that's right the same sub-tops that were installed improperly, cracked our cabinets, had to be redone, and put my family without a kitchen for an extra 2 months. In the end I had to file a small claims case against them. They ended up paying me a couple days before the court date. I guess they didn't want to look foolish in the courtroom. What a nightmare! Look for another company. There are plenty. Just stay away from Davis Stone.

The flooring and baseboards turned out terrific, it really changes the look and feel of the space. We had picked out something that was not one of their usual suppliers, but that was no problem. They really work with you to get exactly what you want. All the workers were friendly, skilled and left our house clean at the end of the day. My thanks to everyone that worked on our project. Chuck finished the kitchen up and did fine work with our plumbing which required some intricate work to accommodate our layout. Of the many options they had the best ideas and the qualified workmen. Mike Garst considered the project from every angle, brought in members of his team on 3 occasions to suggest approaches. When they opened the dry wall we found the supports were rotted & had to be replaced. They built a roof support, replaced damaged wood, added cement inside the walls higher than outside level to prevent leaks, then filled a beautiful solid cement floor and repaired the drywall. Better than good as new, this room boasts a superior foundation that gives me confidence. Every member of Mike's team is punctual, profesional, knowledgeable and courteous. When work was done, Mike came and, on his own account, adjusted the sticky sliding door so it moves smoothly. Mike's boss, Brian, also came several times to look over the project. I feel very fortunate to have had MASTERCRAFT take on this hugely complex project and bring a disaster to a happy ending.They explained options, patiently answered my questions and were courteous and pleasant throughout. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after years of frustration with Prefab Granite Depot, I feel…read morecompelled to share my experience. I hired them to install a waterfall-style counter back in June 2021. Barely a year later, the waterfall cracked for no clear reason. They came out again in July 2022 to repair it, but the job was subpar. I noticed that between the waterfall backing and the side of the cabinet. It wasn't flush at all. Which I'm assuming that it allowed the water fall to slide inward more than 90 degrees, thus putting strain at the joint. But I am not a professional installer. It took them until August 22, 2022, to actually address this crack and I was assured the issue wouldn't happen again, however nothing was done to fill the gap with sub board to prevent inward movement of the granite. Unfortunately, it did again crack. A third crack appeared on April 22, 2023. I reached out multiple times via email and phone, only to be completely ignored. No callbacks, no emails, nothing from their receptionist or customer service team. Then, in May 2025 -- the worst-case scenario happened -- the waterfall slab literally fell off the counter. It nearly injured my child, grazing his arm as it collapsed. This wasn't just poor workmanship; it was dangerous. I've given them multiple chances over the years to make this right, but the lack of accountability and disregard for customer safety is unacceptable. I would never recommend this company to anyone if this is still their current practice and to avoid at all costs.

I just hoped we could afford to go with him, and the happy news was yes!!! Adam's quote was very reasonable and our money well spent. The fabricator we had been planning to go with for months wasn't responsive enough to make us feel comfortable that the work would get done in time, so we asked Arizona Tile for recommendations and the staff member suggested Unlimited Tile & Stone. Thank you so much, Arizona Tile! Adam is professional, responsible, skilled, responsive, reliable, and super easy to work with. Additionally, he came to our rescue when the concrete bathroom countertops we ordered from out of state arrived in a color that was off from what we were expecting. Adam was already squeezing us in for our kitchen job and then made it happen at close to the last minute to fabricate our master bathroom countertop from our leftover slab and our second bathroom countertop from a lovely piece of remnant marble he had in his yard. We were up against a deadline to get moved back into our condo and Adam wanted to be of help however he could. He kept us informed every step of the way, listening carefully to our preferences in the templating/design and advising us on the optimal use of our slabs. Adam's installers were very kind and did gorgeous work. We could not be happier or recommend Adam more highly. As is common knowledge, most remodels are very stressful, but Adam and his crew brought much needed calm and peace of mind to our project, which involved calling quite a few audibles along the way.
