Menu showing that dish comes with handmade fettucine

Party of three. Overall, the food was good, but I was surprised by the bill. I ordered the Bolognese, which the menu lists as "pork & beef ragu tossed with handmade fettuccine pasta" for $26. When the check arrived, there was an additional $3 charge for the fettuccine. When I asked about it, our waitress explained that the pasta is homemade and therefore costs extra. However, the menu already describes the dish as coming with handmade fettuccine for $26 and doesn't indicate anywhere that there is an additional charge. I don't mind paying extra when it's clearly disclosed in advance, but unexpected charges are disappointing. If handmade pasta carries a surcharge, the menu should clearly state that, so customers know before ordering.

Visited with friends for lunch and had a great time. We each had sparkling strawberry lemonade, very refreshing & had a flower on top! We enjoyed a salad and bread to start our meals - the arugula salad looked very fresh, the Caesar was yummy!! After the starters, I didn't have room for my full meal so I brought half home. It tasted delightful and I'm glad I went with what I did. Cozy atmosphere with funky music paired wonderfully with our delicious lunch. Would recommend!

This is a nice Italian restaurant. I was a little concerned pulling up in the not-so-well-kept plaza, but the people in the restaurant were fairly friendly and the ambiance was pretty good. I had the penne alla vodka. The vodka sauce and chicken were good albeit a little overwhelming towards the end such that I could not finish the dish. I tried my wife's fusilli campagnola and the Italian sausage was outstanding - perhaps the best I have tasted! I should note that they initially messed up the order and served her chicken instead, but they did correct it with a side of sausage. The ginger peach whiskey smash was a nice drink, better than the overly sweet maple old fashioned. The little Italy drink was solid too but not as good as the ginger peach whiskey. This was a nice meal to end a busy conference day.

Our food was incredible! The lobster ravioli had large pieces of lobster which was a pleasant surprise! Service was great and since the renovation the inside is very nice!

Haddock special - so good !!!

Family dinner tonight at Toscana's and it was so good. We started with apps, antipasto, heirloom tomato a special, eggplant rollatini and bruschetta. All were delicious! My meal was a special that night and was a stuffed haddock which was amazing. My husband also had a special of bone in rib eye. Other dishes were salmon limone, fruti di mare, chicken parm, chicken Marsala, seafood risoto and veal parm. Everyone enjoyed theirs meals. Our server was wonderful and took good care of us. The only thing keeping this from 5 star was that the meals came out at different times and we told others to eat while theirs were hot. Other than that it was great.

I used to order baked haddock every week from here. About a year ago they decided to discontinue it and instead have bake stuffed haddock.

She was patient and kind and took the time to understand what we needed. We ordered cocktails... because tonight was the last night I could before I re-start chemotherapy. Both my father and I ordered the Sangria ($14.00) ... And it was *amazing*. Honestly, it was the best I've had since my best friend and I drank together at a Flamenco restaurant in Montreal in June of 1985. My mother ordered the house dry red wine ($10.00) I didn't taste it and she didn't mention whether it was good or not. We ordered one Ceasar Salad ($10.00) and it was both really generous and incredibly delicious (see photo). My parents and I split it three was and it was plenty. The tang of the dressing really worked against the sardines and garlic. I'd definitely go back for more of that!! For dinner, my mother ordered the beef special.... Beef Braciole ($33.00) in an epic sauce. She loved it... but definitely could not finish it!! She brought the leftovers home (as did my father and I). My father ordered the Veal parmigiana ($29.99) and it was a massive, almost overwhelming plate of food (photo attached). He loved it (as did I when I tasted it!). For me?? I ordered the Pollo Vodka Bella Napoli ($26.99 - photo attached). It was a huge, almost overwhelming bowl of food and it was amazing. Deep, rich flavor with mushrooms, bacon, shallots, and tender chunks of chicken. The noodles we all ordered were the home made & hand-made fusilli that are produced in-house. I think that if a chef is going to spend the time necessary to make noodles, you should savor them... and that's what we did. Suzanne offered us a chance at dessert, but we declined, since we knew that if any of us ate a bite more, we would hit critical mass and destroy at least the surrounding block. The only weak point we encountered was the bread. It was weak, drab, and lacking in taste and character. They could do much better on that. Our bill, with taxes, was $162.62. With tip, it came to $195. Totally worth it!

"Marco Polo traveled by camel and pony He brought to Italy,…read morethe first macaroni" (Peter, Paul and Mary) We were winding up a whirlwind weekend doing touristy stuff in Kennebunk, Wells, Ogunquit, and Marblehead, and really weren't in the mood to travel far for dinner from our hotel at the SpringHill Suites Peabody. Lucky for us, it was just a 397-foot walk to an attached strip mall and Marco's Restaurant. And I'm gonna say it right here and right now... Marco's was one of the very best Italian restaurants we have EVER visited. It looks old school with its dark wood tables and chairs and wine bottle decorations. Oh, and the house music was Italian opera! When our complimentary breadbasket came out, we knew we were in for something far from ordinary, because along with the great bread were a trio of dipping oils. One came with a splash of Balsamic, one came with a mound of pesto, and one came with a trio of hot pepper flakes. Edoardo was our server and he couldn't have been better. He was dapper -- a really personable continental gentleman. Our order was simple -two entrees. Pollo alla Parma (Chicken Parmigiana) for $30 and Fusilli ai Frutti di Mare ($35). The quality and quantity of both entrees exceeded our wildest dreams. My wife's Pollo alla Parma was "Pan fried, breaded chicken breast topped with homemade tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella, all over homemade fusilli". Her portion was so huge it almost covered her entire plate, and I kid you not.. she got four servings out of it. And that homemade fusilli was FANTASTIC. My seafood and pasta dish was "Mussels, baby clams, shrimp, bay scallops, calamari in a spicy cherry tomato sauce", and yes... it was also served over that amazing homemade fusilli. There was a lot of seafood, a lot of pasta, and a lot of that spicy tomato sauce. It was exquisite and yielded two big dinner portions. I can't praise Marco's enough. We loved everything about it.

The caprese salad was a plump delicious heirloom tomato with delicious pesto, mozzarella and balsamic dressing. The arancini was a cheesy risotto in a bolognese sauce that my husband couldn't stop saying "fantastic." Same with me. We ended up splitting the sliced filet which was cooked to perfection.
