Just had our daughters graduation party with friends at the Bordentown location. John was so easy to work with. Highly recommend. Could not have asked for better They have a separate room that worked great and awesome buffet of food. Our waitress' Nora and Jen were amazing as well. Very attentive and kept buffet filled and drinks flowing. Everything was perfect from planning to execution. Highly recommend this location especially for a party. read more

This is a go-to for not only local families but we bring our colleagues that come in from out of town, not only from all over the country but worldwide. This place is seriously talked up within the company as one of the go-to places. However, tonight's experience was 180 deg opposite from the norm. We ordered our food and one of our colleagues didn't get his food (wings) until after the rest of the party had finished. We shared our food so he didn't go hungry but they did finally brought the food out. We asked the waitress if we could either get them comped out at the least discounted and the reply was "well we have two large parties here and I can't take them off or discount unless we take the wings back because it's the managers policy." Totally blew our mind with the response. We have a story to tell and so this guy when he goes back to his hometown. Really disappointed. read more

This place might be the absolute worst restaurant I have ever been to in my existence. After waiting about an hour at the bar to get my Togo food (about 20 minutes for someone to take my order) my chicken parm sandwich had no sauce - and it was awful. Service staff is awful with no attention to the customers - too busy gossiping and the food is atrocious. The staff is evidently there to "hang out" first, and take care of customers second. Big fan of the chain, it's been about a decade since I've been to this location, def a good time. Hasn't changed much, def needs a furniture upgrade, but the hospitality was inviting and service always good. For a chain, prices for seafood and brews super reasonable and great to share food with. My boyfriend and I had an intimate lunch, so everything was quick and service was easy. My first time having their wings, my boyfriend swears by them being his fave. I've always been a nacho gal and had to get them. All in all, a great place to hang out, eat, and socialize with groups. read more

My friend wanted seafood. The reviews of Chickie's & Pete's haven't been good, but I wanted to try the food myself. First, this location in Bordentown is surprisingly big and convenient. I didn't quite understand the decor, but the high ceilings and vastness of the rooms kept my interest for a minute. Second, the bartending staff were more interested in talking amongst themselves, as it wasn't busy, and they seemed to be engrossed in their conversations rather than serving. Third, my shrimp tacos had a rich flavor but lacked sufficient garnish, specifically cilantro or lettuce, which would have enhanced its presentation. My friend thoroughly enjoyed his seafood saute in white sauce, but was disappointed because there were so many muscles compared to lobster, clams, or shrimp. He had preferred to order fried shrimp but wanted tartar sauce. They don't serve tartar sauce here. Despite my comments, I do think I will try other locations to compare with this experience. read more

I've been to this C&P several times pre, during, and post COVID. They are always great. From the friendly staff, quick service, and to the food...they have not disappointed. This location has a Trivia Night on Tuesdays (7:30-9:30pm). Recently my wife and I went here on trivia night--unbeknownst to us--we joined in and had fun. I also appreciate that they give back and supports the military community with the Patriot Fund--since a lot of military/Veterans go there. The only thing I don't like...is all the Eagles decor (Go Cowboys)...otherwise this is a great place to watch sports. Lastly, their crab fries with the cheese dip is a MUST HAVE!! read more

When we got to the place the price was $30.00 for just THREE BLUE CRABS and we ordered an entire dozen !!! This will definitely be my last time visiting !! Came here with my family for lunch and we enjoyed ourselves! Things started off a little awkwardly, though. We have a toddler and asked the hostess when we first arrived if they had a high chair for him, and she responded that they had a booster seat if that worked. Sure, a booster seat would normally be fine, but this particular booster seat had no straps! A one year old toddler cannot safely sit on a small piece of plastic with no straps for ~45 minutes :) I was not super into the idea of holding him in his seat for the entire meal, so I asked our waitress if they had a booster seat with straps, and she told me that they could give him a high chair in the other seating area. Why didn't we start there?! Anyway, as soon as we moved to the other area, things improved. Our (second) waitress did an excellent job throughout the meal. My wife and I ended up splitting a platter of fries, and I got the mushroom swiss burger while she got a chicken sandwich. Everything was pretty tasty! Nothing mindblowing but it got the job done. The fries are always so crispy and seasoned wonderfully with the seasoning and the cheese sauce is creamy and highly addicting. I want to spread it on everything! I usually also get a cheesesteak with fried onions and more cheese sauce and boy oh boy do I love it -- if you don't leave the restaurant with a bloated stomach and regretting your life choices then you're doing Chickie's and Pete's wrong! On a more recent visit I tried something different and got the Buffalo chicken nachos. These were just okay, it was too saucy for my liking and when you got a chip without chicken it was just like eating a tortilla chip with straight Buffalo sauce. It get worse and worse every time we come here. We came here last month and the food was mediocre at best.... We tried again... we were 10 people who are literally a household... they separated out table and were super rude about it... I saw later them drinking with the bartender so the staff was probably that RUDE CAUSE THEY HAVE BEEN DRUNK The manager even said that " don't matter if you live together you cannot sit together " we were not allowed to sit near each other.... which was our right according to the COVID 19 guidelines in jersey.... "limit seating to a maximum of 8 customers per table - unless from an immediate family or the same household " this is straight from the site. The food here is not impressive, the staff inside was super rude and the drinks were not impressive... This place is not worth it at all.... DO NOT COME HERE.... They will tall so smack about covid and stuff... but half of us are vaccinated and literally are together all the time.... They not only separated us 6 feet. They after we sat came back and separated us more.... at the end we were about 8 feet apart..... Our family of four was were greeted and immediately seated. We had browsed the large menu prior to coming in so we were ready to place our order as soon as the waitress had come. Drinks, appetizers, and entrees were sent in. Our drinks and appetizers came out lightening quick but when it came down to our entrees being brought to the table was another story. I had gotten the Buffalo chicken sandwich which was very tasty and a generous portion at that. Five minutes later my son received his cheeseburger then another 15 minutes later my wife's chicken parm and my daughter's chicken finger basket came out. The meals were good just the timing of the entree reaching the table were less than lack luster. It wasn't a busy Saturday afternoon. We've been here several times and are never disappointed. We went early on Saturday and they had $5 appetizers, which we ordered mozzarella sticks and the fries. The fries are always good, I'm not a big fry person, but they can be a little salty due to the seasoning. BF and I split the ultimate tailgate burger, which has a crab cake on it as well, the waitress had the burger cut in half for us. Kind of messy to eat and I definitely wouldn't have been able to eat the whole thing myself. We also split the cheesesteak with lobster. There is definitely a lot of steak and quite a bit of lobster. My husband and I had ordered wings to share and a cheese burger club style sandwich. I asked for an extra plate so we could split our dinner. The sandwhich was served on toasted bread. They cut it in half for us, but the burger was slid to 1 side and so my portion of our sandwhich had maybe 1 inch worth of meat on it. Overall, the food was greasy not very good their fries were over seasoned and impossible to eat. We will never go back. Sara, the "manager" was the worst she wreaked of cigarettes and was rude. Looks like a TGIF's in here but the food is a step above normal bar fare. The salmon sandwich was made with a nice filet of salmon. The crab fries were a nice starter. This is my first time in a full restaurant Chickie's & Pete's (after trying it at an airport once). It was good enough then and it's good enough now! Came on a weeknight and it wasn't so busy but I was still standing at the hostess desk for a good 2 minutes before she acknowledged me - and even then it was very curt. However, our server was super nice & very professional! Totally made up for the overall experience. I love the fries here and I got to try the new Surf & Turf burger with 1/4 lb lobster claw meat. Out of the restaurants in the area I opted for this one this evening...huge place, a lot of people. People making reservations for parties of 5 while I was just there alone. I got a table relatively quickly, however lucky for me it was in a section near a huge loud drinking group so it was even hard to hear the waitress. Plus she shows up with no menu, never had that before so I had to scramble around online. Food was ok but that loud party really took away from the experience, although it did live up to the sports bar moniker in a big way. Just groups of big loud sports jock type people. read more

I must admit that my only exposure to Chickie's up to this point was being price gouged at their locations at Lincoln Financial Field and Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia so my experience at their Bordentown location where I was merely hung upside down until every last coin dislodged was a vast improvement. Their meatball parm sub was tasty if a bit soggy and their "crabby fries" were the sodium bomb I expected so translated, that means delicious. As for atmosphere, there's really not much to say except that it's a stereotypical sports bar on a quiet Wednesday afternoon - pleasant but not memorable. Honestly, their value proposition is wanting to say the least so I won't be rushing back but for an occasional change of pace, you could do worse. read more
