Tosti's is family owned and they do everythng possible to make their customers feel like members of the family. I became a loyalist when I asked for a second quote for a job my dealer, from whom I bought the vehicle, said would cost $800. The problem my dealer quoted never even existed. It was something else altogether. And it was repaired for a quarter of the quoted price. Of course my dealer came off my list of available service facilities. The staff goes out of their way to make service convenient and to make sure that the customer understands any problems that may show up. The available solutions are explained carefully, as are the costs associated with the various options to repair. The Tosti family goes out of its way to provide the highest level of convenience, early start to the day, late end to the day, loaner cars or rides to home/work. The atmosphere is one of friendship, courtesy, and professionalism. My company van was on a delivery run to Cambridge, Mass from New Jersey when it lost a fan belt. Luckily for us he was able to get off the Mass Pike at the Framingham exit,stop in a parking lot and have AAA tow the van to Tosti's Service Station. AAA gave us there number and we called them at 6:00am. John the owner was there very considerate and professional. He listened to our plight and assured us that our vehicle would be looked at right away and fixed if possible so my driver could be on his way. 2 hrs later repairs completed and my driver was off to complete his deliveries. I recently bought a car from Tosti's. Besides servicing cars, they also sell used cars. I worked with Pat; I gave him my price range and a list of what I was looking for (and also what I didn't want). He found me a car that was in my price range and had everything I asked for. Since it was an older car, Tosti's replaced a number of parts so that it is in excellent condition. They also told me to drive it for a few days and let them know anything else that needed work, which they fixed right away, included in the original price. I'm a repeat customer and I will continue to bring our cars to Tosti's. Honestly. Good work and fair prices are always welcome, but what sets Tosti's apart is the communication and follow through. After they diagnose the car, and before they begin any work, they call to review the work they feel the car needs. Everything is explained, including what to expect after the work is done. In other words, they get your sign off before commencing any work (or incurring expense). They check in again when the work is done and review how it went. John Tosti, his father & his team are a very skilled & experienced group of mechanics. I've been coming to him for years on odd things & he just knows what to do w/ my 1997 VW Jetta TDI (Diesel). To him, it's like going down memory lane & recently he was able to find a very particular fault w/ the Engine Check light. He did a scan & got a code of PO605 which is an issue with the ECM (a computer). Instead of saying a new computer needs to be replaced, he found a pin hole in the vacuum tube connected to it & replaced the part without charge! Fantastic place. I recently moved to Framingham and went to Tosti's based on these Yelp reviews, and now I'm happy to add to the mix. I worked with John, who was ridiculously respectful and thorough. I had to have a timing belt replaced, engine valves adjusted, and plenty of suspension work done. John's father will shuttle you around as needed if you need to leave your car. Very professional and honest. My car had an issue (that I was unaware of at the time) that was recalled by the manufacturer. Tosti's called me, gave me a full explanation of the issue- and even how to go about it at the manufacturer. I grew up in Framingham and my dad always took his cars here. Guess good word of mouth is generational. I have taken my car here for years both for gas and service. I do find them very honest and trustworthy and willing to go the extra mile. I don't want to oversell because people might get the feeling they will do anything but they are just a good place to take a car and they will treat you right. read more
