I had made an appointment a week prior to get an estimate to replace my clutch. The appointment was set for 8:00 am. I had arrived on time and left my car at the shop. At 4:00 I called them inquiring about my car they said they couldn't not touch my car because the mechanic had broken his tooth. No one called to let me know so they suggested to leave my car at the shop so I did. On next day by 3:00 afternoon again I had received no calls from them. I went there the front desk clerk stated the the mechanic was sick and couldn't check my car. I took my car and stated that I will go to someone else. Why bother!!! This place is a joke! My car has been there for over three months for a simple "oil leak" that was supposed to have been fixed the first time I took it there in March. I was told that they fixed something, then a week later, they would say that they did not have it fixed. I have been left waiting for WEEKS at a time, while being told each time I called that "someone will call you back." It is not funny that they have already taken almost $1000 of my hard earned money, then they want to tell me that I owe them even more for something that was supposed to have already been fixed the first time. This is a "guess and replace" shop. They do not know what they are doing, or what is actually wrong with vehicles. The staff is not responsive, and customer service is an absolute joke. Took a truck in to have fixed. The parts were not installed correctly. The owner laughed about it. Quoted me 1300 to fix it and when. Sent a friend to pick it up charged 1900.00 the truck broke down 12 miles from th shop and When I had it towed back to my shop we noticed that the reared we had just put in had been swapped out. We know because all the writing that was put on it from the salvage yard was not on it and is now the wrong gear ratio.... crook and conman runs the place buyer bewae read more

Today I was very blessed by Jeremy and his staff! I live three hours away, but I was on a mini-vacation in the area. My car had to be towed to his shop and they worked diligently to get my repairs done in one day so I could go home. Would not recommend Total auto they do to much guess work will do work on your vehicle you don't ask for without approval from the owner

I have my Nissan Cube serviced regularly at this shop and have never had a complaint. Once I poured windshield washer fluid in the transmission fluid port. I called and asked them what I should do. They ask me to drive straight to the shop. When I arrived, they sucked the windshield washer fluid out of the transmission fluid port until the transmission fluid looked pure. They replenished the small amount of transmission fluid to the proper level and asked me not to do that again. They didn't charge me and my Cube runs fine. The CVT also works fine. I like this shop. read more

Recently went in to get my tires balanced and rotated. Told them there was a vibration around 70 mph. After balancing, they told me one rear tire was out of round and couldn't be balanced, so they couldn't rotate them. The two rear tires I had got some where else. This seemed funny because they use to be on the front, with no problem. Anyhow I paid and left. On the way home when I got over 50 the steering wheel started shacking. I took it back the next day, and they checked the balance again, and said nothing wrong with the balance it must be the rear tires need replaced. I drove home, and it was much better, but around 60 had some vibration. Next time in town went to a different place. they said one rear tire was 4 ounces out and the other was 3 1/2 . The front tires were fine. So Blue Ridge purposely it seems made the rear tires out of balance, hoping I would buy new ones from them. The front tires I had bought from them, but that will be the last ones. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. If I could give negative stars I would. Horrible communication and poor service!   Told me originally that they could look at it the next day, then kept me waiting for 3 days, and still couldn't tell me what was wrong! I get that shops are busy, I get that. But DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU CAN LOOK AT MY CAR, THEN LIE TO ME FOR 3 DAYS, EACH DAY SAYING YOU'RE GOING TO LOOK AT IT THAT DAY THEN DON'T! The best part was when they called me and said there was some "wierd electrical problem" where my flashers wouldn't shut off and the car wouldn't start. I had to remind them that cars have security systems, and that they had set it off. I finally had the car towed to another shop. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE. read more

Took our Mazda CX5 in yesterday for new tires (which we bought on-line). They charged a fair price for mounting, balancing and alignment. The details of the job were done perfectly: all new valve stems (all same length), tire pressures correct, torque settings right....even applied tire shine to the tires. Great explanation of alignment specs as we have had problems with our tires wearing out early in one area. Through courteous and thorough service, they have won new customers. read more

After having my car breakdown and having towed it to Total Auto for repairs, my experience with them is 100% dissatisfied! Told me I had a hole in my radiator which they fixed and gave me back my car. Car was also leaking oil which was never addressed and took back a second time. Told me valve cover gasket's were leaking a little but owner assured me I had nothing to worry about. After topping off oil and sending me on my way again, car was still perfusely leaking oil. In fact in less than 24 hours I only had half of the oil they just topped off left! Took it back a third time with oil clearly spread all over the rear end of my car, mechanic who changed the radiator then says "Oh yeah, I forgot to write that on the paper". After talking about "reading forums" regarding trying to figure out what the problem was with my vehicle, I decided I did not want someone working on my car who does not have clear knowledge about the engine and took it to a mechanic who immediately knew and was willing to the problems asap! Come to find out, the new radiator that Total Auto just put in that cost me $400 did not even have the correct cap on it! This place is a joke! I will never step foot on their property and trust them with my vehicle problems again. I also have a friend who currently has her vehicle there and they have been giving her the same runaround as well. Think twice people before going here. We work hard for our money and to take care of our vehicles and this place is not trustworthy! read more

second attempt to post. they broke my car. took it in for a repair, left there and within one mile the car was smoking under the hood badly and shaking like a out of balance washing machine. go back and they tell me my radiator is busted, but i had no problem with it ever until i left their shop. then they said a wire was broke and i needed a tune up (last one in 5k miles)....had never had a problem. ran smooth as silk. next day, engine light comes on. went to shop and asked them to take a look. mr jackie himself was who i talked to. he said no time today, shorthanded. i asked if someone could just look under the hood to see if something obvious was wrong...nope, and if i wanted them to put it on computer it would cost and they didn't have time to do it. the whole time this guy would not lift his head nor look me in the face. he kept turning his back to me and wouldn't give me the time of day. moral of story, jackie's wont stand behind their work, they are dishonest, and they will break your car!!!! now i have a 300+ bill for repairs because they broke my car!!!!!! read more

In case you were wondering, no they are not Blue Ridge Auto anymore they are Total Auto Repair & Service. I took my car there and left it locked in the parking lot. When I picked it up the doors were unlocked and my faceplate for my radio was missing and part of my interior was broken. I spoke to the receptionist who asked how much it would be to get the car back to the way it was. I fixed everything and when I went back with my receipts they told me that they were not liable for anything left in the vehicle, including my radio and my interior (which is not IN the vehicle, it is PART of the vehicle). When I called and spoke to the new owner it was the same man that told me this and continued to hang up on me and then stopped answering the phone. I have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau, and am awaiting response. If you don't want your radio stolen and pieces of your interior broken I strongly recommend taking your car somewhere else read more

I took my car here to have the front end aligned and have the tires rotated. I also asked for quotes for a set of 4 new tires. I dropped my car off at 745 am hoping to have it back by noon. Come 4 pm I still had not heard from there office that it was ready. When I called they said it is just now up on the racks. My point being why make an appointment if it doesn't help speed the process up. When I received my car back at 545pm I was upset paid and left. I get home to show my family the work that had been done supposedly. . . .The front end was never aligned, but yet the rear end was, not even something I had asked for, the tires had never been rotated and I had no quotes on new tires. I am a girl and felt like i was taken advantage of because I was a female, and to beat all odds I probably knew more about the vehicle than they did. When I called the next morning they denied treating me this way. I personally would never even recommend this tacitly to anyone nor would I even take my tricycle to them for repairs.
