I can't recommend Dr. Mike Espinosa enough. He's incredibly patient, takes his time during each visit, and genuinely cares about your well-being. I've been to two other chiropractic practices in the past where I felt rushed and like they didn't really listen to me, so this was a completely different experience. With Dr. Espinosa, I never felt rushed and he really listens to what's going on with your body. After seeing him, I noticed a real difference. My hip and back pain improved significantly. I'm now able to work (the source of my back pain) without discomfort and even get back into the gym pain free. Dr. Michael Espinoza is awesome in his work of relieving tension. He's so friendly and makes sure you get what you need. He is very personal and listens to your concerns. The combination of cupping therapy and adjustments helps with my overall pain. Personally I get a lot of stress related pain on my left shoulder close to the neck. I typically get massages to help with the pain, but sometimes when I feel like a massage just isn't working, I go to Dr. Espinoza for the cupping and adjustments. I feel like with one visit it reduces the pain to half. Of course to keep the pain from increasing I will schedule periodic appointments. So its been 6years since I last reviewed Dr. Tiffany Choy's office. And I have no complaints. Since my last review, she moved to her own office in South Pasadena which looks welcoming and nice! I cant have just anyone adjust my neck as Im very sensitive and prone to a headache BUT Dr Choy nails my adjustments every time! My problems tend to be around my traps and neck area as thats where I hold all my stress but after soft tissue work and cupping I feel so much better. After being treated by Dr. Tiffany for YEARS her experience and knowledge in techniques have grown so much and Im thankful to have her as my Chiropractor for my adjustments and injury needs. I have been actively seeing Dr. Choy twice a month for 7+ months and the results of our sessions have been very rewarding. I was referred to Dr. Choy by a friend who is also a professional in the Chiropractic Community, which I am extremely grateful for. Prior to seeing Dr. Choy I was seeing another chiropractor for a few months. While their adjustments were helpful they never addressed any of the muscles or soft tissues, which was curious to me because I thought that if I didn't address the adjacent muscles then the adjustment would end up reverting back to its misalignment. It wasn't until talking to my chiropractor friend that she informed me that I was seeing a doctor who practiced a type of chiropractic care that believed adjustments would fix the muscles, the opposite of what I was looking for. Dr. Choy's practice focuses on adjustments and the soft tissues, sports injury care/prevention. The office building isn't difficult to find, as it is adjacent to the road, where I found street parking. I believe there is parking in the back, but I haven't needed to use it yet. The office itself was located on the first floor a few steps from the main entrance, which might make a big difference for those patients who were unable to walk extended distances. The practice has (3) private rooms in addition to the reception area that has adequate spacing. Accessibility and ease were the key aspects of this office's location. My experience with Dr. Choy and her staff has been nothing but exceptional and professional. From the very beginning Dr. Choy took her time to listen to my concerns and any ailments I was experiencing. She was calm during our initial discussion, but you could tell she had an strong passion for her practice and assisting her patients. Over the course of the past few months we've worked through numerous areas where I've developed pain from exercising, sports, and my significant commute (3 hours each day). What has continued to impress me with Dr. Choy is that each and every time when she does her assessment of the muscles and the joints, her movements are swift, but confident. She seems to instinctively know which muscle groups and which joints are the epicenter of pain and need to be addressed. There isn't any hesitation or guessing in her assessment. My sessions with Dr. Choy vary, but typically revolve around adjustments, cupping, acupressure, or targeted muscle release. I've seen tremendous benefits to my posture and overall lower/non-existent pain levels from these sessions. Dr. Choy takes great care in her adjustments with her swift/confident moves. With her I have my neck, spine, and sacrum adjusted. At no point was I worried, uncomfortable, or experienced pain when she adjusted the various areas along the spine. She is methodical and ensures that the patient is aware of each step she proceeds with. Dr. Choy utilizes a guasha tool and electric massage device to hit specific muscle groups. Prior to seeing Dr. Choy I had no experience with cupping, but the various sessions I've had with her prove that there is benefit to this technique. The cupping she uses is suctioned by a device after the cup is place, therefore no fire is required. Cupping is not painful, there may be some pressure like sensation (like a vacuum cleaner) that you will experience, but the benefit of this type of cupping is that the amount of suction is adjustable with each pump. If the cupping has too much suction, Dr. Choy can release the cup, but I've never gotten to this point in my session where I needed a cup released. One of the elements that I particularly appreciate about Dr. Choy is that she is truly focused on the patient's recovery. After each of my sessions, Dr. Choy recommends some stretches or ways to target release a muscle group that I can work on between our sessions. I continue to visit Dr. Choy because I've reached the point where I'm in preventative maintenance mode and want to ensure that I do not slip back into my poor posture or lackluster spine health. Visiting Dr. Choy continues to be one of the best investments I've made for myself since I moved here to Los Angeles two years ago. In particular, my long commute constantly gives me problems, but visits to Dr. Choy help keep me in shape until I'm able to complete the project I'm currently working on that is creating this commute.
