Came about 10 minutes early to my appointment and was guided to a massage chair waiting area that had snacks and drinks. Went for the scalp spa but got a shoulder, neck, arm,hand and even feet massage. It was amazing. She told me my shpulder area was really tight and worked on it. When she got to the head spa part, she messaged my head basicallu the whole time why she was giving it a deep clean. At some point, she used the water that came out of the golden arc and it gave me the chills. Not sure why though. The whole process felt nice and my hair feels so soft and light and it smells good. For yhe analysis my hair was super oily and had some stuff on the ends of the hair but overall she said my scalp was healthy. There was even 1 woth 4-5 strands of hair growing out of it. This is a very elegant massage spot and sure it's a little bit on the higher price than your average Chinese massage place but they have the feel of luxury right when you step in and also the floor makes you feel like your luxury but anyways the massage was great they were very well skilled definitely above your average in terms of Elegant, relaxing massage spot with a luxury feel the moment you walk in. They were waiting for us as soon we arrived and took us back to some massage chairs where they gave us slippers and offered us drinks. After only a minute or two they were ready to take us to our room. First the check the scalp with a camera, then have you change and lay down. Everything after that was pure bliss: neck and shoulder massage, head massage, the best hair wash I've ever received, massaging my arms and legs, then drying the hair, checking the scalp again and doing a few other treatments. I booked a scalp massage and when I got there I showed the receptionist and the massage lady my appointment and they said it was only for a regular scalp massage not a water scalp massage which I was fine with but they didn't massage my head at all. I then showed the receptionist again at the end and she realized they messed up and I said yeah that's why I showed you my phone earlier. My experience here was awesome!! I got the Swedish massage and it was exactly what I needed. They took care of me from head to toe although I wish they would also do my front shoulders. For the price, they really make you feel comforted and relaxed. The waiting area has drinks and massage chairs which was such a nice way to start the session. The room is dimly lit and really cute and I appreciated that the bed is heated and comfortable. My masseuse put a good amount of pressure on my back and helped work on my knots. This new head spa place just opened up in South Pasadena, and I saw their advertising on Instagram so thought I'd give it a try. Let me warn you, this is going to be a novel of a review, so grab your tea, sit back, and see what I experienced, you won't want to miss it! I made an appointment on instagram, specifying what I wanted and when. It seemed fast and easy enough. The day came, I received a confirmation message saying they can't wait to see me at 3:00. Mind you, I made the appointment for 3:30 and won't be able to make it at the time they said. I even sent the screen shot of the initial confirmed time. They were able to accommodate, thank goodness. When I got into the place the first thing I noticed was how aesthetically pleasing, new, and clean it was. Great! When I got to the front desk at 3:20 (10 minutes before my appointment time) a lady came out from the massage area and asked if I had an appointment. Before I go on, I need to mention this, the ENTIRE staff speaks Mandarin as their main language. I gave her my name and appointment time. She didn't know what massage/package I wanted even though they texted me half an hour earlier to confirm my arrival. I wished the staff communicated better with each other and have just one person at the front desk in charge of just booking and guiding the customer through the process and expectations. I mean, I've been to scalp massage places before, but never have I been led to the back and asked to be sat on a massage chair, which by the way had all their buttons in Chinese. She proceeded to set the timer on for 15 minutes and left me to my own devices, literally. My neck is very short and so instead of massaging my upper shoulders, the machine knobs kept circling the base of my head, which was quite uncomfortable and I didn't know how to change that! There was no one around for me to ask. So as I sat there waiting for the 15 minutes to pass, wondering if this was going to cut into my 70 minute scalp massage treatment (spoiler alert, it didn't, again thank goodness). When the 15 minutes were up, the massaging chair stopped, and my head was no longer bobbing back and forth, I sat there for another few minutes wondering if I should get up and say something or sit there like an idiot not knowing what was going to happen next. I decided on the latter. Finally someone came (who happens to be my head spa masseuse) and asked if I could wait 25 minutes before she can start on me. Umm, no. First off, my appt is at 3:30, 70 minute spa would make the appt end at 4:40 and I set it at that time since I need to pick my daughter up at 5pm. So I told her no, I can't do that. She said ok, that's fine she will start working on me. This is getting long, follow for part 2. Haha jk but seriously, other than my masseuse giving me the 70 minutes I paid for and explained my scalp condition to me in the beginning and end, the whole hair washing was okay. She was quite strong in massaging my head that I had to ask her to go softer. I expected a facial massage and cleanser or some type of face treatment too (like how other places do) but she didn't touch my face at all, other than the heated eye pads that were too hot and I had to ask to remove (in her defense, she did warn me prior to putting it on). Again, wished someone told me the whole process of what to expect every step of the way before it was done. The shampooing and massaging of the neck and body was okay. There was a lot of repetitive motions. Half an hour into my massage, someone brought their kid in and was talking in Mandarin the entire time. It was difficult to relax. The only positive? I did like the scent of the conditioner they used. I think that was the highlight. This place has a lot of potential as it was a nice setting with individual rooms and calming scents and I wish them all the best. But for now, it's not a place for me. Please work on staff communication and explaining to customers what to expect. Maintain a quiet atmosphere and diversify the massage and shampooing techniques. I tipped my masseuse well knowing how much time she spent on me. Hopefully management sees this and improve form future customers. Thanks for sticking to the end! Enjoy your day :) read more

I shared with him that this must be a mistake because I obviously have one and it matches the business name and number as well as address. I then asked for a manager to call me back, which no one ever did. I ended up contacting Groupon and hassling with them for a few days and eventually they gave me a refund. I called in to make an appointment and let the front desk lady know that I found this place on spa finder to which she responded "oh yes we do take spafinder gift cards but only up to $50." This was fine by me. When it was time to check out, they told me that they don't accept spa finder gift cards on weekends-- only Mondays-Fridays. I felt like this could have been mentioned when I was making the appointment. So we ended up paying $98 each for scalp treatments. Pros: - beautiful inside -clean - equipment is updated -drinks and massage chairs in the waiting room - was able to get a private room (I booked for 2) -my hair was extremely soft after! -technicians checked in on how I was doing often and even put a blanket over me since I was cold! Cons: - the gloves that the technicians wore tugged on my hair quite a bit during treatment so I wasn't able to fully relax -technician was also having a conversation with someone during my appointment :( - the technicians didn't seem that skilled during the massage portions - there was little to no explanation of what was happening during the entire process. My scalp was shown through a camera and then I went straight into treatment. And at the end I was quickly shown my scalp again and then some kind of comb was put through (not sure what it does because no explanation) For the price I expected a little more out of it. I've been to other head spas, and this one was really great. Granted, I love getting my hair washed. I found them on class pass and had booked a deep tissue massage and head massage. My appointment was at 12:00, and when I arrived, they had told me they did not have availability for the masseuse, but asked if I was OK with transferring it to a comparable service. I honestly do not know what service I got, but I enjoyed it. First, they showed me my oily scalp, then I got put on a bed and they washed my hair a couple of times. I also really liked the neck and shoulder massage. It was firm pressure, which I enjoy. There was a little bit of a language barrier, but we managed to be able to understand each other. We were greeted with a warm welcome and offered beverages and to chill on a massage chair while we waited for service. They did scalp analysis to show me how dry my scalp was. We did a 90 min platinum hydration package which included 30 min head, scalp, neck, arms legs and feet massage. The best part for me was the scalp and head massage and then deep conditioning and mask treatment in my hair. I came here for my Birthday, excited from what I read in the reviews and really happy I made arrangements to get the specialist I read about. We scheduled the deep tissue message with the ELEUX head spa therapy. My booking was with Amb and Jenny. I was a little surprised after they walked got undressed and on the table. Two therapist walked in and introduced themselves as Rose and Vicky. I questioned but they acted as if they need not understand me. Already on the table we went forward. I think Rose whom was my therapist must have been training, she kept talking to the other therapist. Even though they tried to whisper it was still distracting. Rose was not my cup a tea. She just pushes, there was no actual message until the hot stones which was a nice surprise. She has a strong push so if pushing is your thing she may be for you. I wanted a deep tissue massage and I did not get it so this was the loss of the two stars. A note the massage is on your back and 40 mins. Vicky was my friends therapist and she raved how good she was. She stated she really get's in there "No pain No Gain" she will get those knots out. When we were walked into the head spa we met Jenny and Amb. I got Jenny and my friend go Amb. Finally the people we ensured to book our full appointments with! Jenny could tell I was not pleased with my massage. She stated if I was to come back she would do the entire thing. We both must have enjoyed the head spa part as we both fell asleep. So we don't have much to share. The eye mask is warm which is really pleasant. The hair mask part is also warm. I was really relaxing. Jenny stated I don't sleep well and I stated yes I have not been sleeping well. She pressed my temples and I was out. This is a good place if you have the expectations on what to expect. It is open aspect so you will never be alone unless you show up and they are slow. You can hear everything as it is open. They are very very friendly and nice. I was hesitant to share my review in case it was just a one off experience but as I think more about it, I want to be honest and share that I wouldn't return back here as I have had scalp/hair massages at other spas and this one was the least favorable one for me. My friend and I booked an appointment for 11am and the place was closed when we arrived. We waited 10 minutes, called twice, and DM'ed them on IG until someone finally responded that someone will open the door shortly. As someone who took time off work, it felt like they didn't respect our time. Once we finally enter, we got seated by the massage chairs and were offered complimentary drinks which was nice. The massage chair was a good start too. We then got escorted into the rooms where they analyzed our scalps and recommended a pricier treatment which we both agree to. I think the treatment itself was half enjoyable and half rough at certain moments. At the end, the staff who did my treatment talked poorly about my hair, told me to stop bleaching/dying my hair, left my hair knotted/not fully combed out and I left with my scalp feeling raw/tender. My friend had a gentler experience than I did so take what I say with a grain of salt and make your own judgement since they have multiple staff who might approach their work differently. I would not recommend if your head is sensitive to deep pressure. I was expecting a relaxing scalp massage. Instead she was pushing on the sides of my head so hard I felt like my head was in a vice. After the second time of applying deep pressure to my temporal areas I had to tell her to stop pushing so hard. I immediately got a headache during this and all day long and now unfortunately this morning I still have a headache. Neck is stiff too this morning so it wasn't a good experience.
