The refill valve on my pool was stuck (think like when the floater in your toilet bowl is stuck) for 6 weeks without them noticing. Instead, they tried to say I "had a leak in my pool", which was not true. The constantly running water not only cost me a huge water bill, but also diluted the salt that was supposed to be in the pool. For 3 months this pool service company has not replaced the salt, although it is suppose to be included in my service. Now, since I've cancelled with them, they have not completed the obligations on my remaining pool service. I received an email from them today saying my final service was completed this morning, yet there are leaves in my pool. In addition, the salt level is 1300PPM under their care while it should be 3500PPM. This causes the whole PH balance of the pool to be off. Don't use these guys. They know nothing about pools. They have no accountability. They are a rip-off.

Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.

After a summer packed with great pool parties (worth it), I decided winter was the perfect time to handle the pool glow‑up. So I did the responsible homeowner thing: I got quotes. Five companies later, I had prices ranging from $8,500 to $20,000 and a surprising number of "optional upgrades." One vendor even offered to put a turquoise tortoise--yes, an actual mosaic tortoise--at the bottom of my pool for an extra $3-4K. Did I want it? Absolutely not. Do I adore the phrase "turquoise tortoise"? Absolutely yes. In the end, I chose Waterscape, mostly because the pricing made sense, and the communication was quick and easy via text. My only real goal was simple: resurface the pool, update the tile, and keep the whole thing under $10K. Mission accomplished. They sent over a DocuSign, gave me a one‑week December timeline, and the whole thing ran like a well‑oiled (and extremely punctual) machine: Monday, 9am-12pm: Full demolition of the old plaster Wednesday, 9am-1pm: Tile installation Saturday, 9am-12pm: New plaster poured And just like that: Brand‑new pool! After that, I stuck to the four‑week maintenance plan--daily brushing, treating the water, and absolutely zero heating of the pool or spa. In any event I had what was thought to be a simple leak as the critter(s) chewed up a bit of my plumbing. Upon initial inspection Clark gave me what I thought was a very fair estimate. When he came out to fix my spa the problem was worse than expected. Not only did the critters cause more damage than initially thought it was a nasty mess underneath the spa. Clark went above and beyond to try to fix the problems but in the end I paid $500 to still have a spa that does not work! Although Clark is a very nice guy I worked with him in good faith and he promised to have the spa lifted, the leaks found, the spa lowered and then tested until each leak was fixed. This did not happen as he did not have adequate staff to perform this level of labor. In addition, there was a nasty mess left in my back yard, screws to my paneling all over the ground, cans from refreshments I provided left on my lawn and the paneling to my spa was left undone. As the job grew in scope the level of Clark and his staffs efforts left a lot to be desired! I guess, if the job is not a difficult one he is your guy but towards the end there were many missed appointments, a mess was left, the job was not finished and I still do not have an operational spa :( VERY DISSATISIFIED and I paid a lot of money for the pleasure! I guess in short, if the job is too big or if he did not have experience solving the level of work required he should have not taken the job!
