Max is amazing. We haven't been able to use our front entry door for at least 6 weeks because once it's open, we could not lock it again. We contacted Pella, who sold us the door and installed it (twice) and didn't hear back from them for 6 weeks. We attempted to buy a new door, but no door retailer would provide installation or names of installers. We purchased a new multipoint door lock system, but the one we purchased was too wide for the channel. So, in and out the side door for 6 weeks! Once we were done with traveling, we decided to contact a locksmith to install a deadbolt lock until we were ready to purchase a new door and seek out a door installer. I contacted Max, and he arrived in one hour as promised. After problem-solving, a skill at which he excels, he offered several options. Because we kept the other multipoint door lock, the one that was slightly too wide, we chose to have him widen the channel and install the new system. Max adjusted the strike plates on the other side of the door frame, and now we can use the front entry door again. We highly recommend Max and would not hesitate to use his services again. read more

On December 30, 2023, I requested a project from Yelp for a lockout because it was cold and raining. Total ReLOCK was one of the five suggest as open and offering emergency lockout service. It also was listed with a 10 minute response time. I waited for a response from any of the 5 establishments and received none. The next morning I received a message from Total ReLOCK asking if I needed help. I replied and moved on. For months, Yelp asked me to review this company. On or about April 25th 2024, I completed a review and submitted it. On April 29, I received an unhinged reply from Total ReLOCK (see photos) and I reported it to Yelp, who claims they could not do anything about behavior outside channel. My review was subsequently removed. Today I received yet another notification to review Total ReLOCK (see photos). I checked the licensing of Total ReLOCK with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) - the agency that licenses locksmith companies and locksmiths in the State of California. Total ReLOCK does not now, nor has it ever held a license in the State of California. I am posting this revised review in which I still stand by my original statements. Furthermore, an unhinged response from an UNLICENSED provider who was REFERRED BY YELP is not safe. As a survivor of stalking, harassment and domestic violence due to my race, age and gender identity, safety is a fundamental concern when using a locksmith and as a result of my reliance on Yelp to meet its stated obligations with regard to verification of recommended business, I am now concerned for my safety. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE USE Total ReLOCK for services. Furthermore, I request that Yelp upon the completion of the BSIS investigation for unlicensed activity, that this provider and all affiliated providers be banned from the Yelp platform. read more

Max showed up quickly, but he quoted $80 and at my front door, with a simple Schlage lock, suddenly it was $120-he said it was a "special kind". A big stretch for a 15 year old basic lock. When I protested, he said I could call someone else. I'd been sitting in front of my door for 3 hours, a friend had the wrong key. We finally agree on $90 (with tax, $103). It took him10 seconds to open the door. He also asked me my religion :( . After reading his vicious reply- with complete untruths, and his harassing me on my cell until I had to block him, I stand by my review. Also I want to thank him for publicly stating my religion, and lying about the manner in which he extracted that from me. One thing he is right about, it isn't a Schlage lock, it is Sargent. My mistake, never looked closely at old door lock brands. But the rest is completely false, not to mention one price quoted and completely changed when he saw I was desperate to get in my house.
