Two of the safe companies recommended Santa Monica Lock and safe-- and said the owner there was the only guy that could handle this type of gig. I was concerned they wouldn't want to come all the way to the valley for our safe, but they found a way to squeeze us in on a weekend. Our lock was damaged from a flood, completely locked up, and somehow he still got into it, checked to see if there was anything inside (bummer, there was nothing). He removed the dial and made some extra drill holes in case our house is ever burglarized it would be clear this is a non-functional safe. Definitely feel a little safer with all the home invasions in the valley.

They admitted to marking up their products that they sell by 100% and called the product that previously had on the door subpar despite it working perfectly for 20+ yrs. And the ONLY reason it stopped working was because my wife tampered with it and did not know how to reinstall it. So basically this company publicly admitted that they charge 100% markup when they sell you products and they don't consider that predatory. They also admitted that they believe that products that have 20+ years of longevity and functioning are subpar and below reasonable standards The one part of his story that he completely distorted was that he sold a fake bill of goods to my wife. And I got involved only after I found out how much was charged after he left. She was taking the lead on it while I was unavailable in the middle of a meeting when all of this happened. Stay away from these guys! They won't own any of their faults. And when they mess up, they definitely won't be a part of the solution. They'll just act like defensive j%%#.
