This review is based solely on the appointment making process and not on the service itself. That's unfortunately because I never made it that far. I was excited to find such a well priced groupon for a facial nearby. I called to make an appointment and left a message... No one returned my call. I called a second time to make an appointment and left another message... No call back again. I finally received a text from Lisa saying she was with a client and asked if I was calling to make an appointment. I texted back saying yes and inquired about availability... No text back. I was getting really turned off by how difficult it was becoming to make an appointment but decided not to give up since I had already purchased the groupon. I finally made an appointment for a Tuesday at 10:30 via text with Lisa. Less than 24 hours before my appointment I got a text from Lisa saying her plans had changed and asked if I was available for a later appointment. I was not, and asked if there was any way to keep my original appointment. Lisa responded yes, and confirmed for the next morning at 10:30 (the appointment I had made over a week before). Less than 10 minutes later, I get ANOTHER text saying she might push back the appointment an hour and would let me know by 4pm. Let me know? Seriously? The whole purpose of making an appointment is that you make concrete plans that you plan the rest of your day around. It was extremely unprofessional and at this point I told her to forget it, I would be calling groupon to request a refund and leave feedback on Yelp about my experience. Well, all of a sudden the texting ceased and I finally got a phone call (first call of this whole process!) I ended up listening to a rant about how she does everything on her own and groupon oversold the deal. I had to kindly remind her that I am a CUSTOMER, and really none of that should be made my problem. The appointment making process and customer service I experienced was an absolute disaster. It was really disappointing how unprofessional and inconsiderate the owner was. The last thing a business owner should do is make it difficult for a new client to get in the door. Lisa has been my go to for Brazilian waxing/facials for the past 3 years. For services that are not the most "comfortable" to have done, Lisa does an amazing job making you feel at ease. She recently relocated to another building in downtown Brighton and it truly elevated her experience. With a larger space to work with, Lisa has made the space very calming and relaxing. I love Lisa! She always does an amazing job with my skin and is very knowledgable about skin care. I've been going to her for a couple of years now and haven't ever thought about finding anyone else out of convenience - not too far, but I drive from Newton to Brighton just to see her. Lisa is very welcoming and her spa room is very cozy and inviting. Everything is clean, warm, and relaxing. It really is like a mini spa day! I always look forward to our sessions. She goes above and beyond just a typical facial. Besides being very meticulous on your face, she always gives you some relaxing hand massages and face massages. We are generally chatting throughout the session because she is just overall a friendly and interesting woman, during the massage times she makes it a point for you to relax and enjoy. At the end of our sessions I always joke that I just want to stay there and take a nap after. I'd recommend her to everyone! I also love her product line, I don't like using any other moisturizer than hers. It's her own special formula she and other certified dermatologists have created out of the right ingredients we should be using on our skin. I would give even more stars if I could! Liza is a catch! Once you find her, no other face treatment will feel as good as hers! She an amazing person and she knows what's she is dealing with. I mean, she gives you this really great advices that are really fit for your skin. I'm 27, not a teenager anymore, and I was struggling for over an year and a half with really bad acne. I started doing monthly facials with her in April and since then, I swear (!!), my skin is so much better! Like, I only have this few breakouts when I'm about to get my period. Actually, it's been 3 months since I can go out without any makeup on!!!! She also has this organic product line that is a must have! I don't use any other products on my face anymore (I still keep using thermal water and micellar water), the moisturizer is perfect! I truly recommend her for anyone who is looking for better skin :) I convinced my boyfriend to go get a facial and he is in love with it! He got to talk about it for days after doing it! read more

I am surprised by all of the glowing reviews on here. I hate to have to give a bad review, but since my continued positivity and faith in Lisa was a lot due to the positive reviews on here, I only think it's right to let others know of my experience. She was very hard to get a hold of to even book the appointment, and once we finally did, she only confirmed the morning of, and then proceeded to text me a slew of questions and comments when I really couldn't talk. The information would hAve been appreciated more than 4 hours before the appointment. Then, about ten minutes before I was about to leave my home to go to the appointment, I got a text that she was running late. I appreciated the heads up, but it was still quite unprofessional and put me off on the whole experience yet again. Yet still, I figured so many people love her, give her the benefit of the doubt. When I got to the building, her instructions for finding her suite were completely off, and I ended up walking around this office building like a lost puppy. She didn't really seem to understand that her bad directions were what got me lost. Once I finally got in to the room, again I decided to let it all go and just enjoy the experience. I really wish I had been able to. What should have been a relaxing facial turned into a gotcha q&a, where she wanted to constantly educate me on what I was doing wrong with my skincare regimen. I felt so uncomfortable with this, but felt obligated to try and answer her questions as I was really at her mercy and could not escape (which is hard when someone is working on you face). Then, as she continued to insult my skin and the products I used, she slapped a lip mask on my lips. If she had asked, I would have told her that my lips are very sensitive and I do not like to do anything invasive to them. All in all, it was an awful experience, and immediately after I left there, my skin has been breaking out nonstop, and is without a doubt ten times worse than when I went in there. Really unbelievable. I guess this is what you get when you get a groupon? Buyer beware. read more

I was thinking may be they are just too busy. Called them again three times in March, was forwarded to voicemail and no one returned my calls and I left voice messages. She gave me a load of great advice for my skin (she's super knowledgeable), including the products I should and shouldn't use, and she's also really friendly. Lisa also offers her own custom-made organic products, which are not expensive at all, that you can purchase if you choose. She gave me some samples at the end. I love Lisa!! I've been going to her for almost 2 years at this point. I was in the market to find a good aesthetician and I'd been to tons of spas in the past. I found Lisa through Groupon and have been with her ever since. My skin's texture, tone and overall look has drastically improved. When I was younger I had very acne prone skin, I tanned a ton, and I've always had a little bit of a ruddy complexion. My skin was looking dull and old so I decided that I'd dedicate the time and money to taking better care of it. Even after my first visit with Lisa, my skin looked incredible. As a heads up, you have to book an appointment pretty far in advance (3-4 weeks) because she's obviously very popular.
