My husband and I have been going to Dr. Vidal for many years, and now my youngest son sees him as well. Dr. Vidal is very thorough, and takes the time to address all of our questions and concerns. We NEVER feel rushed! His office staff is wonderful as well. Cheryl, Brenda, Tina, Cindy, and Angela are professional yet incredibly friendly. They really know their stuff and have helped us with everything from finding flattering, affordable frames to getting the maximum benefit from our vision insurance. I picked up a new pair of glasses today-- last week when I needed new lenses on short notice I had told them I needed them by March 8. They put a rush on them and I now have them on March 1-- AWESOME! Thanks, guys! Been coming here for years and never issues with receptionist till today. Front lady receptionist a older Asian lady was very rude and unprofessional. I was already taken care by another receptionist handling my case but she kept following me for no reason. She was rude towards me. I am no longer wanted to be patient here for eye exam. This is probably the worst eye place in the world. Not only do they overcharge for all their services you have to wait a long time before anyone replies. During my eye exam Dr. Peterson disappeared with his secretary for 30 minutes while I was stuck waiting in the exam room. Also the entire staff decides to take a 1hr lunch break but they don't tell you that during that time they are closed. This is the last time I will ever step foot here. Do yourself a favor and don't even make an appointment here. Save your time, save your money and go someplace else! read more

I went here for an eye exam 1.5 years ago, and I'm still wearing my glasses with the wrong prescription in them because I haven't been able to afford new glasses. A new eye doctor confirmed they were the wrong prescription. I'm sad I wasted all of this money after my appointment and haven't been able to see correctly since. read more

First time getting my eyes checked in a LONG time. The entire staff was extremely friendly, and the check-in/wait was very easy. Dr. Peterson was great; knowledgable and thorough (the most important thing), but he was also extremely friendly and personable. I'm a very satisfied customer - for 20 years now. When I go in I get excellent, professional service on a consistent basis. They take the time to do the job right and are nice, too. I recently had an eye exam through my medical (not vision) insurance. It was rushed, the staff seemed to be on an assembly line,,,, I prefer 20/20 Today. I certainly have had the opportunity to go somewhere else with my vision insurance but I would get anything better elsewhere - they provide excellent all around service. I don't know what happened with Karina L's visit but that is not the service my family has received, and we have been there often. I love this place. They are so nice and go out of their way to take care of you. I have never had my eyes checked here, but since it is close by I get my contacts there regularly. I once had them change the lenses in my frames and was more than satisfied with their service and speed. Great parking too. I really trust 20/20 and highly recommend. This will be my choice for the next eye exam I need and I won't go anywhere else to pick up my contacts. I call them, they have them ready for me at the desk 5 minutes later. I needed to be seen outside regular business hours and not only was Dr. Vidal available, he met me inside 15 minutes from my distressed phone call. Now less than an hour later, two foreign objects have been removed from my eye and I'm going to be able to sleep tonight (unlike last night), watch two soccer tournaments without suffering, enjoy a long holiday weekend and avoid the ER! THANK YOU! Also, this is our regular eye "place." I bring my family here because the staff is wonderful and they have a great selection of eyewear. We have been going to 20/20 Vision Center for over 20 yrs. Dr Vidal was who we saw then. He was always professional, courteous and knowledgeable. When we heard he was retiring we wondered if we'd be looking for a new eye center. After one appointment with Dr Y, we were relieved that we could stay at 20/20 Vision. As was Dr Vidal, Dr Y is thorough, professional, knowledgeable and listens intently to our concerns. From the moment you enter their office, you're met with friendly accommodating staff. Cheryl who has been there since my first visit is always cheerful and welcoming. Any questions I've had about my glasses choice and options, she has answers. If I've needed adjustments later on, it's a quick visit without having to wait. I was in the office last week getting my eye exam and met Annie for the first time. She's a great addition and helped me pick out some frames. The process of ordering was quick and efficient and her suggestions were much appreciated. Doctor Notes: Dr. Peterson has been my eye doctor for 10+ years, quite possibly even longer. Dr. Peterson is personable and warm. He is awesome at building positive relationships with his clients, with a great memory of your prior visits and past conversations. He is a proponent of LASIK. After a lifetime of glasses and contacts, it was time to pursue his recommendation. Best decision I ever made - a life changer! Dr. Peterson helped me throughout that whole process. Hopefully, my experiences with 20/20 and Dr. Rasmussen will shed some light on the previous negative review... Dr. Rasmussen has been my Doctor since I was a small girl... In fact, I worked for him for nearly 10 years! He has worked over 50 years as a member of the American Optometric Association, and has contributed a wealth of effort and research to the field of Optometry. He is a perfectionist and chooses only the very best labs to create the glasses and contacts he prescribes to his patients. He would never choose one of those drive-thru lab which create cheap lenses and frames in a day... He only uses the best for his patients. Quality takes time.... The young lady who wrote the scathing review seems to have a problem slamming the professionals who have worked hard for years and years to establish a reputation. Dr. Rasmussen wasn't even her Dr. Her beef wasn't even about Dr. Petersen... It was about the staffer who offended her by implying she wasn't able to afford "Fendi's"... That is silly cattiness! Come on... Do we really need to be impressed? The staffer should never have dispensed broken glasses. (By the way, that staffer isn't even there any more!) The staff they have will surely treat everyone with the greatest kindness and respect... I have always been impressed because Dr. Rasmussen won't compromise, and continues to use only labs which craft your lenses out of the very best materials available -- in spite of the economy! I know Dr. Petersen is the same way! God gives us only one set of eyes! We need to take care of them! read more

Okay, so when I first got there one of the receptionist was nice. The tech that checked my eyes was really nice and really helpful. The lady that was helping me pick out my frames.... NOT so much she was rude. When I picked up a pair of Fendi glasses, she goes " Did you look at the price on those" OH that was it for me, I dont know why ANYONE would say that. Wether they thought you could afford it or not, it should not have been said. I had just gotten off of work and I was wearing scrubs and I didn't look like a bum! Anyway after that they tell me it will be a week for me to get my glasses.... three weeks later I get them AND THEY'RE BROKEN!!!! It has now been about a month since I went and I have broken glasses :) This is Dr. Steven Peterson and Donald Rasmussen's office. its in the back when you enter the 20 20 vision. I will NEVER GO there again, and I would def. NEVER recomend their office to ANYONE! I hope this helps! First, I want to say that Dr. J. Michael Vidal deserves 5 Stars!!!!!!!!! I gave 3 star rating of my overall experience. I had an appointment here about two weeks ago for an contact and glasses exam. The building space is shared with another eye glass/optometry company so the division of space is not very clear for first time visitors. So upon arrival I was kindly greeted by the other company and directed around the corner to 20/20 vision. There were two women behind the desk both chattering to each other and providing no eye contact and brief greeting. To say the least, the customer service was sub par. While waiting to be seen I viewed the eyeglasses and tried on some while one of the receptionist was in clear view of me trying them on she did not offer to help. So asked another lady to help me, she explained she is not an employee of 20/20 but can get someone to help. Someone did come to help, she didnt seem to interested in helping based on body language...this poor service, inattentiveness and lack of motivation continued throughout my appointment up until and after I was seen by Dr. Vidal. The last comment that warranted the three star was the comment I received from the receptionist regarding an eye drop. Dr. Vidal asked the receptionist to give me an eye drop to try due to my allergies. Instead she ignored his request and continued to check me out, and when I asked about the eye drop she appeared irritated asked whether I needed it. ..that was the final straw. I must make it clear that if I were to rate my experience with Dr. Vidal solely, I would definitely give 5 Stars. Dr. Vidal was kind, funny and courteous. You can clearly see that Dr. Vidal is passionate about his craft and enthusiastic when educating his clients. He was warm and welcoming throughout. I would like to return to Dr. Vidal because I trust his assessment and care though I am reluctant because of the poor service I received from the receptionist. read more

Not a big fan. I've been going here for the last 15 years, but not anymore. I called today to see if I could get a lens to hold me over until my eye exam and they said "There's nothing we can do to help you". They said I hadn't been in since 2008 for an exam. Whatever. I asked if there was anyway their files were incorrect and she said "no". Anyway, went to Target Optical by Sports Areana. No appointment, walked in. Saw me immediately. Super detailed exam. $82.00. Lens were way cheaper than at Dr. Vidal plus they're running a special, buy a years supply of contacts and get any glassed you want for $89.00. Sold. I would TOTALLY recommend Target. read more
