The only location where service is a hit or miss. We came in just to look around and see the selection. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left I felt that the same employee was watching. at some point they introduced themselves but when we declined any assistance they were always in the same aisle as us. At check out the Cashier Female (older lady) was overall rude. I been shopping at Total Wine and More for years but the moment i ask if i can put in my phone number or email the cashier said they had a new system and she couldn't do that. Okay so i asked if i can create an account with the new system she said on my own. Overall the wine selection for the cost is not worth returning for. I've been coming to this Total Wine the past couple years I've lived in Fullerton down the road and have had a mostly positive experience here. Floor staff is knowledgeable and cashiers are generally friendly. I really like the options to pick singles of different drinks and make your own six pack. It's such a nice way to try different things without being wasteful. Recently I had a strange experience where a cashier made my friends wife come back in the store and show her ID to let me purchase my drinks. Even though he bought drinks at the other register with her. Not sure what the confusion was for, but it was a bit irritating because she had literally already gotten back in their car by the time I could reach her to come back in. The lady said she needed both of our id. I didn't have mine on me but my boyfriend did but she still denied and said we both needed it. I told her that it's fine, we won't take the beer and just the gum but she still asked for ID. It's ridiculous. The beer I understand but for gum? Really? We left with nothing . I'm a wine girl, through and through. They say that your blood runs blue in your veins before it is oxygenated. Well, I'm pretty sure mine runs purple. It is so much cheaper to be a wine girl on the West Coast. The same bottle of wine that used to cost me $13-14 in New York is $6.97 here in CA. I almost feel bad buying it like I'm buying a "2 Buck Chuck" since the price is so low, but it's genuinely good wine! Those shipping costs must be a price killer. Anyways, I'm here a lot. While it is awesome that grocery stores and CVS carry wine, there is just no better selection and price on really good wines out there than Total Wine. They have everything you came for, and six more that you want to try! They are so knowledgeable and there are always people walking around asking if they can help you find anything. They'll pull wines down for you from the shelves and make suggestions based on things that you know you like. They are constantly featuring new wines/beers and there are tastings so you can try new stuff before you buy. I've found a few new favorites for the .01 tastings (I guess there is a rule about giving away free alcohol so they just charge you a penny). Let me tell you, I'll stop at the bank for a roll of pennies to make sure that I'm always stocked up. The Bend Cabernet is a personal favorite for a Tuesday night -- no special occasion red wine. They just changed their label but the wine is still just as good. Total Wine lures you in with coupons if you sign up for their rewards program. I'm always getting notified of 15% off coupons, free wine bags, and other such things. As if I needed any more incentive to stop in! Thanks for being you, Total Wine. read more

Being a BevMo fanboy like myself, I have always been hesitant to try out this Total Wine & More trend. As soon as I walked in, I felt welcome. There were two or three guys in the front greeting people and answering any questions needed. The place itself is fully stocked and very presentable. Prices are pretty decent as well. The only thing I like more about BevMo is that the employees are more interactive on the floor. This place was great, however, the workers were all gathered in the front. Update time!! So, yeah, although I agree still with my original review. I don't feel it is 5 star worthy. It is so dang confusing in there if you are trying to find something specific! On a couple of occasions, I've headed to TW&M to find a certain bottle of wine or spirit and after walking around for a good long time, I finally had to find someone and ask. After asking one person, I get handed off from person to person. So I go from having no help to way too much help and I don't even know who I'm supposed to get my answer from. All the younger employees (20 or maybe 30 year olds) are too wrapped up in being cocky and know-it-all that it turns me off. I still love going into this store if I'm just hoping to stumble upon something fun and awesome... but if I'm going to find something specific, I am filled with dread. Sorry to have to knock you down a couple stars, but when taking a look at the store with an honest eye, it is something that just needs to be done. It's difficult to describe this place in words. You just have to go and check it out for yourself. Their selection is insanely HUGE!!! I felt like I was in an adult candy store. Price is similar to BevMo, at least for items I was looking for, but the selection is definitely better, especially their wine selection. I don't even consider myself a drinker but I somehow ended up spending about $70 on my first visit. I got a four pack of Delirium Tremens (excellent Belgian beer), Gulden Draak, two ginger beers, some sodas, and alcohol infused whipped cream (caramel flavor). That last item is money. My wife and I walked over to Starbucks (in the same shopping center) and used some of it on coffee. It was excellent. We started carrying it around in our car so we can use it on other stuff like ice cream, fresh soy milk, pies, cupcakes, and whatever else we can think of. They have wine tasting every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Make sure you pick up their Buying Guide which lists every item they stock. There's hardly any picture in the catalog; it's about 100 pages of beer, wine, and liquor list. read more

He found two boxes in the system but could not locate them at first, as some of the bottles might have been placed overhead above the shelves. About a month ago my husband decided to try ordering on line and curb side pick up. This sort of service was new. When he arrived there was staff out loading other cars. He tried to get someone's attention and was ignored. My husband was not comfortable entering the store because of the COVID precautions. He finally poked his head in and got the attention of the manager who was very unpleasant and rude. Telling my husband that he "was not there to take care of him" and informing him that he was supposed to TEXT pointing to a hidden sign. He begrudgingly loaded the order in the trunk of the car. We both like Total Wine so we figured that this was a one-off and this last week submitted an order for home delivery. Delivery was to be between 4 and 5. At 7 my husband called to find out where the order was. After some time on hold he was told that GrubHub had canceled the order. No other explanation. That person said that they would have someone call. No one called the next day. My husband called them and again after much time on hold he was told that the manager would deliver after his shift. The same sour manager that my husband had dealt with the month before showed up delivering the order - no explanation, no apology. The next day we received a call for BevMo customer service telling us that the delivery fee would be refunded - we're still waiting. Either way, we will not be shopping at BevMo anymore. read more

If I could leave a zero star review I would! I'm am so disappointed at their employees, they were not helpful at all. They were following me and my brother around the store, Making us feel extremely profiled and uncomfortable. At every aisle they would ask me what I was looking for in a hostile tone. Came to shop for my 21st birthday which is a week away with my brother who would be purchasing the alcohol because he is 25. When it came time to purchase my brother gave them his ID but also asked for mine(I wasn't the one purchasing) they then asked me to leave. Angel claimed that their company policy didn't allow me to be at their store since I am underage so I left but as soon as I got to my car I looked up their company policy and it states as follows, " we don't allow any person under the age of 21 to enter our store UNLESS accompanied by an adult guardian of legal drinking age. If you appear to be under the age of 30 or under our team members will ask for identification..." This company should do better at training their employees and make them actually know the company policy if they're going to use it to kick someone out. Never coming here again, please save yourself a visit and go to BevMo instead, they have always been so kind and extremely helpful. If you prefer to be treated poorly and followed around the store come here, you'll love it! I like having Total Wine around the general area even though I have to drive out 20 minutes. I really wish it was next door to my house, like next door as my neighbor. We'd be really good neighbors. I'd drink his wines and I'd offer my friendship in exchange. It would be the best deal ever. The store offers the largest selection of wine in our north Orange County area (I may be wrong, but I'm probably right), an admirable collection of fine liquors (I default to scotch and bourbon most of the time), a respectable lineup of craft beers, and cigars. What do you know, cigars! You get most of human vices in a one-stop shop. Combine that with usually low pricing for everyday consumers (since we can't purchase wine by the pallet or afford to) and I have a concept I like. Step away, State Farm. The real good neighbor is Total Wine. They also sell cold beers and actual kegs in their small walk-in refrigerator. You can rent the keg tap with the keg after you put down a deposit. However, Total Wine is a totally complete archive of anything boozy. For that, I was impressed by Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa. Those guys have a real "Library of Congress" amount of wines placed in shelves all around, plenty of liquors, plenty of beers, and also hard-to-get Japanese sakes. I get it though. There's many Total Wines and only 1 Hi-Time so for convenience, Total Wine delivers what most of what I need, when I need it at a reasonable distance away from me. -------------------------------------------------- QUICK TIPS: -------------------------------------------------- # Large selection of wines, spirits, craft beers, and cigars for good prices.The collection is not as amazing as Hi-Time Wine Cellars, which is the granddaddy of booze, however I rank driving distance and convenience higher. # Fastest way to choose a wine is to ask a store associate and get their recommendations and ask what the other staff like too. You can blast in and out with a Cabarnet or Pinot Noir like me, knowing that the odds are in your favor that you'll like the wine, instead of choosing wine by judging its label artwork. # There's a small walk-in fridge where you can buy cold beers and kegs. You can rent keg taps when you check out. They only carry a limited selection though. Go on the website and see if they carry what you want. I love all total wines! I feel like prices are a bit cheaper than BevMo depending on what you get. I personally like purchasing Hennessy here than at a grocery store. And I think one time at BevMo it was around 38$. Here it was about 30 with tax. Sign up for their rewards so you can coupons sent to your email. The workers here are friendly and nice and almost always have henny in the front counter so no need to ask someone to open the cabinet for you. read more

Placed an order online for curbside contactless pickup due to covid-19. Pulled up and followed the instructions, texting the phone number my initials. It took a couple of minutes to get a response and I was asked for my order number, which I provided. I got a text back 10 minutes later that said, "We have your order as an in store pick up. We have your order at register 6". Are you serious? Can you not walk it outside for me given that it's already paid for, there isn't one other customer in the curbside spots, and there was clearly some sort of glitch within your system? Pressing a bit further to see if someone could walk it out - an employee finally (begrudgingly) did. They gave me quite a bit of attitude saying that in store pick ups are "in a totally different location than curbside orders" which makes no sense given that it was at register 6 and the registers are right by the exit. They now also have delivery available through Instacart, which sounds dangerously easy. Wine selection is stellar with prices ranging from very inexpensive to a big splurge. Tons of tasting notes and staff recommendations right on the shelves to give you supreme confidence in matching your palette or finding the perfect bottle to bring to a dinner party. Beer prices are amazingly low and there is a vast selection of kegs, cases, 6 packs and bombers. I also LOVE the opportunity to pick individual bottles to make my own 6 pack. Ok, you know about TW&M and I'm sure there are plenty of reviews, however, I still have a few things to add - and to note why this place has won almost all of my alcoholic beverage needs business. (which at times are substantial!) First off - Kegs - I tap 3 beers at a time at my house. It's been a challenge over the years finding what I want and reserving it. Often I've needed to drive to several places to pick up what I want. One of those places was here - about a year ago I was being helped by the head store manager, I told him I would really love to buy all my kegs at his store. He told me he could make that happen - apparently there's an "approved list" of beers any staff member can order for you - however I found out that they can get many other brands that are not on the list- I just needed to order it from one of managers. It's worked out great - one stop shopping at the best price! A few other items about ordering kegs - 1) They price match - I found a slightly lower price and they matched it with no problem, afterward they moved the price to match the lowest available permanently! 2) No problem reserving kegs - I always had issues with their main competitor - one time they let me reserve, one time they wouldn't until I told them the manager said I could! Several times they said they could get items they couldn't - I'm glad to be done with the BM dance! TW&M has a great selection of wines as advertised. But what I really like is their selection of hard liquors - Top shelf items for drinking and a full selection of knock off brands at super low prices, which is really valuable when I make jello shots!! Recently attended a wine class event with a group of friends. It was called "From Tip to Toe: A Wine Tour of Italy." Very enjoyable; easy online registration, email reminders, knowledgable presenter, plenty of nice cheese and meats to compliment the wines. A good value for $20 Lastly, they have a loyalty club that records points and sends you discounts. Now that I can get all my items at one stop that'ill pay dividends for sure! I'm a regular customer at the Total Wine store in Brea. Today I went in, hoping to find some Smirnoff Cherry Vodka. Not seeing any on the shelf among several other flavored Smirnoff vodkas, I picked up some beer and headed to the cash register. As I was walking a Total Wine "worker" asked if I needed anything. I told him what I was looking for and his total response was, "if you don't see it on the shelf, we don't have any." No "lets go look together," or "could we order some for you," no "sorry," nothing! Ive been here many times. I've been here as a customer and as the person not buying alcohol. They are NOT consistent with ID checks. This location has never checked my ID when I go with my bf. We went to pick something up at Lowes and decided to stop by on the way home. Ended up grabbing some things. I didn't bring my wallet out today, but I always keep a picture of my ID on my phone just incase. They refused it. Even restaurants accept it! Didn't see them checking other people. read more

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST! They have a very wide selection of Wine and spirits. I came here to buy some Scotch and a few bottles of Hendricks Gin for a party I was having at my house. My Brother-In-Law recommended I come here over BevMo because the prices and experience. I was shocked how much inventory they have here! It feels like a grocery store of just alcohol.
