It's HUGE!....And, filled with all your libation needs including gift sets, bar tools, glassware, imported spirits and rare finds. This place actually had legacy and premium expensive bottles like Pappy Van Winkle Reserve and Remy Louis XIII Cognac which will set you back easily $3,000 - $4,000 dollars a bottle! I was quite impressed. Overall, the prices in general for most items were so much cheaper than other liquor stores. Plus, they had a huge variety of Ginger Beers and my favorite Saki....and Japanese Whiskey. However they do not seem to stick Troegs beer... they have shock top as a craft beer when it's own by Budd. But no Troegs! Travesty! With the covid 19 situation going on, Total Wine & More have been making it easy for people to get their alcohol in while being stuck at home and away from people. They offer a huge selection in store and online. You can order it online and pick up your order within a couple hours. It's very simple and easy while keeping your interaction with people to as minimal as possible ! I think the only complaint I have is that they implemented a minimum pick up order amount of $29. I understand that by doing so it forces people to buy more at a time instead of constantly ordering one item and keep coming back to the store. Laurel Total Wine has always been nice and as I call it the "Costco of Wine" but since they have moved into a larger space and expanded their inventory this might be the best location in the DMV or at least Maryland. The new location has a Tasting Bar, Total Wine Classroom and walk-in Cigar Humidor. I recently visited to pick out my New Year's Eve champagne selections and the staff was so knowledgeable about all different bubbly and sparkling wines at various price points. I was surprised at how well different staffers were able to make several recommendations based on my wine profile. They really nailed it! Even on what is probably considered Super Bowl Day at Total Wine, I was shocked at the high level of customer service and individualized attention I received. There is no reason this company needs to scan your ID other than to steal your info. They said they were just scanning my birth date, but she had me flip the license over to scan the bar code. This is a data breach waiting to happen, if it hasn't happened already. If they can't teach their employees how to read, they shouldn't be in business. This one even sells yeti coolers. They also have a large humidor for the cigar lovers. The most frustrating things is parking. Also their prices are very good when you compared them to the local liquor stores in the laurel area which some of them are a complete rip-off. The store is fully stocked and I mean stocked. This is the ultimate liquor store and I am so glad it is too close to home!! I come here for the wine obviously but they literally have everything under the sun to purchase here in terms of alcohol. The wine I think is extremely reasonably priced while the beer can be more average in pricing. I normally go to pick up a couple bottles of $3 wine with the occasional more expensive bottles and while it can be hard to find them some times I would say there is a huge selection of options and if you use the app, you will surely find what you're looking for. Their beer selection is expansive, I like to go for the German brews and all the Yuengling options. The lines can be a little long...just by the amount of time it takes to go through each person. Living down the road from this place is a blessing and a curse. Not too sure how I'll ever go back to a normal liquor store after being so spoiled. The options are literally endless. Tastings daily, a reward program, and even food items if you need a last minute one stop shop! My chief complaint would be HOW SLOW the cashiers are. I was able to place an order online and pick it up but I still took time to browse and pick up other items. They have it all wine, spirits, beer, snacks and cigars. You can shop here and get all your party favors. Their stock is plentiful and they have so many unique items. Looking for something new, a gift or your go to beverage they have it here. I stopped in twice while in town for the weekend. This place was that amazing. Friendly service and even though its busy they keep the lines moving. I highly recommend this place and will always stop in when I'm in town. I guess I'll be in the minority and state that Total Wine is just A-OK to me. Nothing here really amazes me and I actually prefer Perfect Pour in Elkridge. Pros: + Larger and more organized than the previous location + Vast selection of beer, wine, and spirits + Nice name brand selection of barware and accessories + Reasonable prices Cons: - A lot of workers, but have to track them down for help (often they just walk right past without offering assistance) - Shopping carts are cool, but prepare to play bumper cars up and down the aisles - No baskets placed around the store, have to go alllll the way back to the entrance if you find additional items - Beer is categorized by type, not brand (I prefer Perfect Pour's system of categorizing by brand) - Single beers sometimes ring up as a case (I learned my lesson after I didn't catch if the first few times and not one cashier caught it either) - Boxes and equipment blocking the aisles - No staff by the locked cabinets - Rude cashiers Lately, the cons have really been outweighing the pros, which makes me question why I waste my time coming here. On NYE, there were no staff members posted by all of the locked coolers of champagne. Circled the store looking for an available associate and finally gave up. It's NYE, pretty sure that a lot of people purchase champagne for this occasion. Not like it was a random Tuesday. The same thing happened today with the bourbon and rye selection. Why employ so many employees if they aren't assisting customers? Also, the rude cashiers are literally on my last nerve. I was still unloading my basket as my turn came to be checked out. There's a lot of good to be said about Total Wine & More- a huge beer selection, with lots of singles to try new craft brews; the option to buy six-packs that have not already been refrigerated; hundreds of wines to choose from, at a whole range of prices, and generally helpful staff. Generally, I say, because depending on who you talk to on the floor about advice on wine, 40% of the time you find someone who introduces you to a good wine at a decent price, and more often than not, you get a sales person who steers you to an over-priced wine that is not selling well because, simply, it's not a good wine. Case in point, the other day I went into Total Wine to get one of my favorite oaky Pinot Noirs, and the staffer assisting me said I would really like XX wine, and by the way, "...if you buy 3 bottles, you get one free." I should have figured out the catch, and luckily I only bought one bottle to try it out, because for the $18 they were charging, the wine stank. In fact, I've had $10 bottles of wine that were better than this. This is only one of several times something like this has happened, and sadly I've learned that despite the many good things about this place, I can't trust many of the staff to guide me to a good wine at a good price. I stopped by because I really wanted to drink Radler by Bitburger and the last time I came across this wonderful beverage was in Albany, New York. I did a quick search online to see if they even carried it and lucky for me, they had them in stock. This location is in a very busy shopping center on RT 198. The shopping center also has a Target, Kohl's, Panera, Chik-Fil-a etc. The store was incredibly busy during my visit but the good thing is the folks at Total Wine were out in full force helping customers find coping mechanisms...I mean, libations and although the queue to pay was long, almost all registers were operational and the queue moved quickly. Give this place a try and remember you can search online before venturing out to the store. What more could you ask for? The cashier did ask me if I was a member of the rewards club so on my next visit, I will investigate this rewards program fully. read more

The selection and prices are really terrific. But what really sets this store apart is how friendly all their staff is. I usually use the preorder and curbside pick up, which is super easy! The app is really user friendly and makes ordering easy to use your coupons. When I get to the pick up, I alert the store through the app and the people bring it out really quickly.
