I love my haircuts by Shae. I see quite a few women getting color here, but I come just for a haircut. I appreciate that Shae works on Saturdays so I don't have to skip out on work to come. The women who work the front desk are always super friendly and greet you by name when you walk in. Shae is always on time and I'm in and out in 45 minutes, which I appreciate. Every eight weeks I go in to trim and inch off my layers, touch up my side swept bangs and frame my face. Shae delivers every time. I've gone to other people that can take over an hour to do my hair so I really like how quickly she works. The salon is clean and there's always parking up front. I have no complaints and will happily continue to come here. read more

Good place for a normal hair cut, not for styling. pictures below of what we asked them to cut, and what the stylist did. And they all claim the two are pretty close. It also looked great to them and they didn't care that we, their customers, didn't find it great! In their favor, they did offer a redo another day, or have one of their stylists add more layers, but they already lost my confidence. Maybe respect your customer, listen to them and not lose them by telling them they didn't know how to communicate. read more

I LOVE this salon. The atmosphere and the staff are amazing! I went in yesterday to have my regrow then touched up.. it usually takes several hours, most of that with bleach on my head because my roots are VERY difficult to lift. But the process only took about 30 minutes and my hair is SO soft. Normally it feels crunchy until I do a deep conditioning treatment but it feels good as new! I told my stylist, Lisa that I've been wanting to try a smokey lavender color and she made the exact color I wanted. This color wasn't even in the book of color options and she made the color by hand! I was SO SO impressed! Needless to say, I'll be a return customer. Thank you Lisa! If you want to get cancelled on MULTIPLE times and not receive a call back to reschedule then this is the salon for you! The owner, Michelle, is as UNPROFESSIONAL as they come. She is UNORGANIZED, ELITIST, RUDE, and UNCARING. Because I was upset over being canceled on LAST MINUTE, she claimed I had a "tone" and that "maybe this isn't the salon for you". The first time you go here it'll be great, then once you're hooked that's when they'll start treating you poorly. This place has really bad energy. read more

I made an appointment with a master level 2 stylist. I went in with dark brown medium length hair, and a picture of an ombre bob. The stylist told me she wouldn't be able to get me that light, which is totally fine. I have dark hair so I get that. I showed her a second picture of just one all-over color with the cut I wanted and told her I would be happy to go with just one all over color if she felt we couldn't get close to the results in the first picture. She said we definitely could and went to work. She put a darker color close to my natural color on my roots and started in with the bleach on the bottom. I honestly was not paying attention to how high up she was going. A few hours later, I walked out with brassy chunky highlights that went almost to my roots with no blending. There is nothing ombre about my hair. The lighting in the salon is such that I couldn't really tell how bad it was until I got into my car. I called them very quickly and the manager just put me on the phone with the same stylist, which didn't really seem like the best solution when I just told her how unhappy I was with my hair. In her shoes, I would have offered to have a senior stylist fix it. Anyway, I made the appointment to fix my hair with the same stylist, but as a couple of days went by and I was able to get my friends' opinions and it started to set in just how bad the dye job was, I decided it wouldn't even be worth it to try to fix it here. Less than a week and just one wash later, the darker color on my roots has also faded and grays are visible, which is crazy. I use sulfate free, color safe shampoo so I can't imagine what type of dye was used that is gone after one wash. To the stylist's credit, the haircut is very nice. Overall, I spent ~$150 on a good haircut but awful dye job. Overall, I just can't recommend this place. If you decide to go, please be sure you select one of the upper tier stylists. "Master level 2" sounds knowledgeable, but I think the necessary experience just wasn't there and she didn't consult with any of the senior stylists. As she was toning my hair, she was commenting to the stylist next to us how she didn't think the orange would ever come out but that the toner was working, and the other stylist said "... that's how toner works." I guess that should have been a red flag, but I was trying to relax and be trusting. What's strange is that I've always been told my hair lifts very easily. I have gone pastel before, so I'm not sure if she made a mistake in the bleaching process as well. One good thing, the staff is very nice and attentive. I was offered water or tea immediately upon entering, and one of the massage therapists offered a head/shoulder massage while I waited. Another person on the staff offered a hand massage while my hair was washed. I declined both, but it's still nice that they offered. read more

I've been going to Touch Aveda Salon for about a year now and cannot say enough about Johnene! Not only is she incredibly sweet; she is an AMAZING colorists, stylist and a true professional. I have thin, fine hair and go to Johnene for cut, color, and style. She is unbelievably talented, and I'm always blown away by how good my hair looks and feels when I leave the salon. This salon really struggles with running on time. For four appointments in a row, my stylist Jennifer ran late. The first time, I was offered a foot massage (which was nice, but it still made me late). The 2nd and 3rd both were 10 minutes late. The last appointment (last week) I waited 20 minutes before walking out. Every client has a profile complete with phone numbers, so not notifying the client is just arrogant, inconsiderate, and and just plain unacceptable. Everyone's time is valuable. I have been coming to touch Aveda salon & spa in Tampa for several years, and my stylist is Jacquie, who I would recommend to anyone. Jacquie does such a beautiful job, discoloring & styling, as well as she is a very nice person. I love having her do my hair. This salon is wonderful , from the moment a client walks through the door one feels very special. Touch is run professionally, and the products are wonderful for your hair. I live in Connecticut, so I do not get to Touch Salon, as much as I would like to, but when I walk through that door, they know who I am, and make me feel special. Jacquie has helped me from the first time that I walked through the door. My hair was a mess, and when she was finished I felt like a new lady, and her plan for my hair really works. Over the years, I found an Aveda salon in the Hartford area that I went to, not only did the stylist ruin my hair, but she was most unprofessional, after 3 visits ( I use the 3 strikes and you are out rule) I stopped going there, and had to grow out this awful haircut. I cannot believe that these people were trained by Aveda! Jacquie, came up with a plan to grow it out, and it looks beautiful. I simply cannot say enough nice things about Jacquie, Michelle and the rest of the staff-fantastic! A great place to go and I am looking forward to my appointment in May! read more

I went with my daughter for haircuts. I was very disappointed. We were both charged an additional $10 for additional time. I assume because we have long hair. I have been to several other Aveda salons and I've never been charged an additional fee. We we both unhappy with our haircuts as well. I don't look like mine was cut at all when I asked for an inch off the length. My daughter had the opposite problem She had much more then the inch she requested. We won't be going back there ever! read more

When you sit in the seat and you get a scalp massage to start off with - I mean really who doesn't enjoy that!!!!!! Its kinda like scratching that spot on your dog that makes his leg go all crazy. I have been here twice and have nothing bad to say at all. On both visits, I had an appointment and they were great on the phone. My first visit was for a haircut and it was great. I have super curly hair and I let them know when I called. They let me know who worked more with curly hair and it was a great experience. The second time was for a massage and it was an equally great experience. On both visits; I was greeted warmly and offered something to drink. Everyone is very professional and accommodating! The prices are very reasonable (I had a 90 minute massage for $75 with aroma therapy). They offer you retail, but they are not pushy at all - you only need to say no once. Since I was so pleased with Whitney and Michelle (the owner) I decided to give their other services a go. I scheduled a massage & facial with Cindy and again, I couldn't be more pleased. The salon was super busy which is great but slightly noisy which escape once the spa door shuts behind you. Cindy is lovely and really helped me relax and enjoy my time. Worst haircut ever. Took all of 25 minutes to mess up my hair. It's never taken less than 45 minutes to cut and dry my hair. Half of my hair wasn't even dry. It's going to take months to grow my hair back to something presentable. I cried all the way home. AWFUL. I even took a pic with me. It's not even close. read more

Some of the stylist are great others not so much. The first time I went there I had to wait a while but the girl who did my blow dry was great and knew what she was doing. The second time got someone else and waited for a while a again and the results were below average. i probably could have done a better job myself. I guess you can't have high expectations with students. overall good ambiance and friendly staff. Manager is nice too. I guess if you find someone you like then stick to them :) I would only go again if I can't get in somewhere else and since it's close to me. Otherwise I wont and definitely would ask for the same girl that I had the first time. I think Jessica or Jennifer (sorry been a while). Please avoid this place. Looking at the positive reviews, I made an appointment for a 1-hour facial for my wife on her birthday. When she went there, she was told that she never had an appointment for that day, but instead she was booked for next day. When I called front desk to ask about this confusion, instead of apologizing for their mistake, they sounded like I made a mistake and got confused with appointment time/day. Finally when I spoke to Manager, she agreed that there was a mistake and someone overbooked their appointments. They completely spoiled my surprise for my wife on her birthday. I completely understand that mistakes does happen. But when you make a mistake, you should at least fell sorry for it instead of pointing fingers at others for your mistake. A place that charges ~80$ for 1 hour sessions should provide lot better professional services. I should have given 0 stars, if possible. read more
