My car was broken into (courtesy of the hood, right). It was daytime too which made it worse. I was parked on Georgia between Pitkin and Belmont avenues. So I have to admit that I've seen broken glass on the same spot where I parked but silly me; I never made the connection that I shouldn't park there for that reason. So basically after many incidents of broken glasses on the curb, it was my broken glass that was on the curb on a Thursday evening. I know for some folks it's a "dust your shoulders off, pay for the damage and keep it moving" moment but I felt truly violated. Whoever did this didn't take much since I didn't have anything in the vehicle. Maybe the douche got lucky and found the five bucks that I've been looking for since last year that was buried in my glove compartment but all to say is that, I was very pissed that the my five bucks and quarters that he/she took resulted in me dispensing 130 bucks to fix my glass. I went to this place immediately and the staff was definitely sympathetic. Since it was late in the day, the staff told me he can put a temporary glass for the night and I can come back tomorrow morning at 8am to adjust and realign it. I paid for the damage, went on my merry way still seething from the mofo that broke my glass. Anyway, coming here was a life-saver. I came back the following day and the glass was fixed within 30 minutes. I also met the owner, Rob, who was a true professional and made sure my experience was decent. My mechanic uses Touch Of Glass as a subcontractor, and everyone needs to be warned: STAY. AWAY. I got my car back worse than when I left it - broken pieces that they then used sealant to try and fake shut, entire sections of gloss stripped off the paint, broken wiper arm because they didn't install it correctly, and a leak that persists due to their absolutely abysmal work. Went to Touch of Glass to have my windshield replaced. They replaced it horribly, air leaks all over the seams for a month. Upon going back there they told me they cant do anything about the air leaks (which would not have been there if put in the eighth way the first time) THEN, my windows cracked right where the air leak. AGAIN they told me there is nothing they can do about it. The man who spoke to me in the phone had a horrible attitude and only had to offer me "windows break I can't do anything about it." I had a crack in the windshield of my 2003 Honda CR-V and based on the recommendation of my usual mechanic, went to Touch of Glass to get it replaced. I called in advance and the woman on the phone was very friendly and informative and quoted me a good price, somewhere around $150-175. So I brought it in and waited an hour or so while they replaced the windshield. Two days later I was driving down the highway and the plastic windshield molding popped off and started flapping in the wind. I rolled down the window, reached outside, and popped it back into place but whenever I drove over 50 mph it popped back off again. When I was finally able to stop, I noticed that not only was the piece on the molding broken, but the metal clasp on the car that receives the molding was also broken, AND THE WINDSHIELD WAS CRACKED AGAIN. SO, I brought the car back in, they replaced the windshield again, and told me they'd fixed the plastic molding. I'm sure it won't surprise you to hear that the second I drove over 50mph, that thing popped back off and started flapping in the wind. On top of all of it, I drove the car around for about a week before I noticed they put a Touch of Glass license plate frame on my car! I hope everyone who saw it also saw the crack in my windshield and the duct tape holding the molding in place so at least the free advertising I was giving them was accurate. read more

They cleaned the drains and seemed to work, however a few days later when it rained again and I was concerned that a bit of water was still coming in, I called them, took the car there and they worked hard until they found the problem. I just visited Touch of Glass today, for the second time in 2 years, and I'm totally satisfied with everything- the quality of their work, their service, attitude and speed. Both times I brought my 2001 Highlander in to replace a cracked windshield. They got the job done in 30-40 minutes and reattached my EZ Pass and inspection sticker (and of course my rear-view mirror) exactly as they were on my old windshield. Now, this is a minor detail, but it was just nice to not have to readjust my mirror and EZ Pass or have to go through inspection to get a replace a stupid sticker if they had managed to mess it up in some way, shape or form. And at this point, I'm convinced you can get pulled over and/or a ticketed for ANYTHING in NJ, at anytime... or at least until the state doesn't have any more budget problems (ha.... ha... ahem). My windshield had to be replaced and the only reason I went with this place was because they were available to come the following day. Price wasn't relevant as this was covered by insurance. They were so unprofessional that by the time the drivers actually got here to replace the windshield, I almost wanted to send them on their way. When I woke up and went out to my car it was like any other Monday. Except that day my car windshield had been cracked by a fallen tree branch. Nothing major but bad enough that I didn't wanna be driving the car and risk being stopped for the crack. TOG(Touch of Glass) was not far from my house so I knew that I could take my car over there and get this handled quickly. I had to tell my job that I'd be late today as I had car issues. When I arrived at TOG I let them know my situation and asked if it could be fixed today, I was told it could. Two years ago my car got broken into twice. Both times I got the windows replaced by touch of glass. Both times they did a great job. I basically called them & told them the make and model of my car and within a hour they had the glass. From there you sit in waiting room and they do there thing. I don't normally write too many reviews, but the few reviews on this business prompted me to give it a try. I had a cracked windshield on a two week old vehicle and called Safelite. They wanted $450 with tax installed. I called Touch of Glass and they quoted me $195 plus tax. I arrived 30 minutes from the time I called and I was out of there in under 35 minutes with a brand new windshield!! I was amazed at how good the service was. Super terrible experience. Absolutely not recommended. They did a small repair on my car and afterwards something was broken it that was working just fine before. They insisted it was absolutely not their fault and the owner was super rude and agitated about it and they still made me pay for it full price. I would never go here again. This place is a true New York original! The staff is super knowledgeable and, honestly, a riot. The owner is hysterical -- he barks orders at everyone, including the customers. Did I mention the cars coming in for service? They range from custom Jeeps to vintage Plymouths -- they're all awesome. I visited on a Saturday to replace the trim that was falling off the rear window of my aging Saab. It took a bit longer than expected, but I went to the coffee shop across the street and had a yummy brunch for $5. They charged me a whole $80 for my job, which I found beyond fair. This place is lucky to even get 1 star. from the moment I walked in this place on Tuesday I had a bad feeling. Everyone just stopped working and stared at me. I had to ask someone to help me. I should've known from that moment this was not a good idea but I'm a reasonable person and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I had them put tints on my brand new Honda windows. As soon as the guy was done I looked over his work and noticed the tinting was uneven and there where air bubbles and dirt particles In between the tint and glass everywhere and even found a scratch on one of my windows. He told me to come back the next day. When I did come the next day Wednesday, one of the other workers told me to come back Thursday because they were too busy...I came back Thursday and was told the gentleman was sick. At this point, I felt I was being brushed off and on top of that given attitude. I then requested a refund from the owner Mr Dilorenzo who rudely told me he never gives refunds! I should have been more mindful in jotting down names, but the woman at the front desk is a doll and the gentleman I dealt with, although a man of few words, knows exactly what he's doing as far as repairing shattered rear windows is concerned. Dropped my 93 baby off on a Saturday, no need for rushing when a job needs to be done right, so left her there until I could get back to pick her up later that week. The glass pane in my storefront door broke unexpectedly this morning. Danny was at my store within 2 hours for a quote. Within another 4 hours he was back to install the new glass pane. I was impressed by their prompt response, friendliness, and honestly. I felt I received a very fair price and Danny was honest about the quality of the door and the previous glass (which incidentally was not the proper type of glass for a door). I recently visited Touch of Glass after being referred by Geico to have my cracked windshield repaired. Initially, I was a little apprehensive to have the windows repaired outside of the dealership, but after speaking with the owner Mike & his awesome staff, I knew I was in the hands of real professionals. They were able to get me an appointment on 9:30AM on a Saturday, with less than a days notice, and even had Audi glass in stock for my 2015 A4. After reading some of the reviews here, I am genuinely surprised that people have anything negative to say. Mike worked directly with my insurance company to make sure everything was covered, I didn't have to worry about a thing. While they were repairing my windshield, he came over several times to make sure I was happy with the way everything was coming out & even showed me some flaws in my window tints (which I had done someplace else) and offered me a great deal to remove them and re-tint the windows. Amazing! My windshield was done in just a couple of minutes, and it came out great. My tints are perfect thanks to him, too! As a woman, I normally feel uncomfortable to go to any type of auto repair shop, but Mike really made me feel like family. My car looks amazing and I refer everyone I know to him. This is my third time using this shop to repair my window glass. They broke into my car for the third time, I hate bk. Anyways this place customer service on the phone is good ladies try to accommodate you asap, nonetheless the guy who performed the service on my car was rude, didn't have any eye contact, the work was crappy at first my car window wouldn't go up, they had to take my car to the back and re do it, by removing the panel. My insurance company had contacted Touch of Glass at 8:00 am to replace a crack in my windshield, and Touch of Glass told my insurance company that they could come out and do the repair that same day, which is why we chose to use that company in the first place. I then got a call at 11:00 am from the secretary telling me that Touch of Glass could not in fact come out that same day, and that they had never spoken to my insurance company to set up an appointment. Needless to say, they changed their mind, and didn't want to come out and do the repair. They also told me they would call me back, and never did. I was referred here by a friend to have my cracked windshield replaced under my insurance. I was sure to ask for an original glass as some of the sensors don't always work with an aftermarket one. The glass came in quickly I drove over they installed it in a very short time frame with no hassels and 3 years later it's still going strong. I give them 3.5 stars for service but 5 starts for the repair job and 5 stars for the price! This is a no frills auto-body place. They took longer than they said they would to replace the glass in a driver-side window but they did a good job and for half the price of anywhere else I called. To be fair, they said it would be an hour and it was about an hour and forty minutes, so it wasn't outlandishly long. On August 24th I took my car to Touch of Glass on 2732 Atlantic Avenue as it had pretty decent reviews and was close by. They didn't have the exact glass for my passenger side window but they ordered it and told me to bring it back the next day to replace the temp glass on my 2010 Kia, so I did. On August 25, I brought it in at 8:00am, missing time from work and waited two hours to get it replaced. The window worked well and I was rushed out as they had other customers, I left and didn't think nothing of being rushed out since I had to go to work. Later in the day I picked up my sister and when she tried to get out of the car she couldn't open the door. They had messed up my door lock and handle and now I had to go back, and waste another work day to go out of my way to get my door fixed because of the carelessness of this company. On August 26 I was told the workers who would fix my door were running late, with no defined arrival time I opted to leave my car in the shop and leave work early to pick up my car. When I picked up my car they had the nerve to ask me if I paid? I said I paid to get my window fixed two days ago but then your company damaged my car door. So no I don't have a receipt for my messed up door that could not open or close because someone did a horrible job at fixing my window, the lady who was at reception was decent and apologetic however her manager was an extremely rude person and yelled over me like a three year old having a tantrum "yeah we did a horrible job, a horrible job, a horrible job, get out of here lady. And I said I'll be glad to once my car is fully fixed, I grabbed my keys and left. The door worked fine but still my door rattles a bit but I refuse to go back there, the level of customer service by the manager felt like I was being disrespected and mocked for making the worst decision of brining my car window to get fixed there. This car window repair resulted in me losing out on money from work. So if you want to waste your time and money, experience awful customer service from a heavy set, tuepe wearing, had to many lasagna, rude and awful human being then this is the right place for you!
