This salon were open to working with my current hand tied for now, gave fabulous highlights and lowlights to create a beautiful brighter overall look, and we are discussing our future plans for custom ordering our 30" or more length 6 months or so down the line when it is finally time to retire my Dakota London set. Other salons only go to 24", and I am not willing to chop 6" or more after all this work. Ottalaus has been a dream find. Depending on how my employment hunt goes, perhaps I will allow my stylist to play in the fantasy colors, but we will stay "normal" blonde for now.

The salon itself leaves something to be desired. You walk in and it looks nicely put together but…read morethe behind the scenes is a different story. It feels sloppily put together. Poor cabinetry, weird ceiling panels that shoot for elegance but miss the mark. The washing stations aren't comfortable. You can head every convo throughout the salon because of the wide open space and you literally can stare at the people on the other side of you due to poor positioning of chairs/mirrors. The floors were dirty, there was hair and dust on the cabinets at opening, AND the BIGGEST issue I noticed that there were no sanity stations for scissors or brushes. My hairstylist used a curling brush that had hair already in it! I'm praying it was only used on freshly washed hair, but still I don't think that's acceptable. As far as my stylist, I'm happy with her and her providing me with the services I scheduled. The service was slightly more than the lists prices online so they should update the pricing. Since I liked the stylist I will give it another try but the salon isn't something itself I look forward to entering again.

She was also really helpful in mapping out exactly what I wanted to get done and what my results would be. She even helped me set up an account to get rewards for every dollar spent. Botox isn't cheap but I did a lot of shopping around and they are competitively priced. Amara is very clean and the staff are very attentive to their clients. I was offered snacks, water and soda multiple times. I didn't have to wait for my appointment although I would have loved to wait because not only are they a hair and med spa they also have a boutique with lots of cute clothes and jewelry. The lady who cut my hair used MENS CLIPPERS to cut off my hair, I have NEVER had anyone use men's clippers to cut my hair. I should have walked as soon as she brought those out. My haircut is the easiest haircut of them all since I have always had such long hair. Somehow she messed up my hair and now I have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. I am embarrassed and so sad that she cut so much of my hair off.
