I will make sure I never have to go there for any imaging in the future. Their office staff seems incompetent and will call you at 5:00 the night before your appointment to tell you they weren't able to get the insurance authorization or any past test results despite having a month in which to do both. Do not get trapped here. There was a significant lack of competence and a tendency to blame others, including both employees and our doctor. Our insurance company, as well as our doctor, made multiple attempts to assist, but Touchstone Imaging failed to submit the necessary documentation, which delayed a stat MRI by three days. They scheduled appointments for us, claiming they had the authorization when they did not. Everyday there was another excuse. In contrast, we went to Envision in Southlake, and they took care of everything within a few hours. It seemed that Touchstone Imaging was primarily interested in having us pay for the MRI out-of-pocket at their "special rate." read more

I scheduled an appointment for 2:30pm for tests. I was told to arrive 15 minutes early at 2:15pm to check forms and prep, I received txt messages to confirm my appointment, which I sent a response to confirm a 2:30pm appointment. I arrived at 2:11 pm and was told that I was late for my appointment and they would not be able to perform the Tests I was actually early for my 2:30pm appoint which is the only appointment that I confirmed. I asked to speak to a manager but gave up after a long wait. I am very very disappointed with their organization and office staff. The person that I checked in with was very rude, informing me that I was late. I did not get any appology for their mistake on my appointment. I will be not be using this facility again. They should pay me for my wasted time and transportation. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Office inexperience . Requested in person that my images be transferred to another radiologist . Called in 2 days later to make sure they did it they said they did . Went to my new provider to try to schedule and they said they have received nothing . Why does a patient have to run around to make sure things get sent ?? I received an x-ray and an MRI. Technicians were all very nice and professional. Billing is where it went downhill. My estimate was $516. Paid in full when I checked in. MRI was estimated around $400. Got the MRI EOB from my insurance and I was only responsible for a $100 copay. Called my insurance about the x-ray claim, and Touchstone never sent in the claim to my insurance (which is odd because they provided me the estimated price with my insurance). Called Touchstone billing, and they basically said yeah it was never sent to my insurance...and they basically pocketed the extra $400 for the x-ray. So they would have just kept my money unless I called them and asked them to submit the x-ray claim to my insurance. The whole thing just felt really shady. The claim for the x-ray just cleared and I ended up owing Touchstone a little over $100 for the x-ray...so the estimate overcharged me by almost $300. They said they will refund me once the claim goes through, but I guess we'll see how that goes. read more

Big sigh. Honestly, it's already frightening for a visit like mine and then to top it off with bad customer service, just doesn't make my 45 minute trek, any easier. Walked in, wasn't greeted. Walked around the corner, to speak to check in. No smile, no "how may I help you. Just Maria telling me that I should call a company that I've never heard of to change locations, so that my insurance will cover my visit. I was clueless to what she was talking about and I let her know that. She told me that I was the only person that could do this. Maria handed me over a piece of paper with a number on it and told me to call them. So, there I go, doing a job that was probably hers or something that she could have helped me with. But who cares about the customers, when she's trying to go to lunch. I had to get up and ask for help from 2 other young ladies that were very nice and helpful. Sue immediately got on the phone with the people that could take care of everything. I did have to talk to insurance to confirm, but she took care of everything immediately while Maria left out for lunch. Thank you Sue and the other 2 young ladies that tried to help. Take a video or record your conversation for proof. They DO NOT listen to what u ask them to do. Were supposed to submit bone density results to UT Southwestern & instead sent it to the PCP. I had asked this several times and they still botched it up. Now we have to have a 2nd appointment to go over the results and pay for it! The executive team that I emailed, never responded to me either. If your insurance covers another imaging center, better to go there. The person I spoke with after they did this to my mom, was rude and uncaring. You need compassion and empathy to be in this line of work, even at the office level and there was no caring or concern for what we asked them to do! I will look to see what my insurance offers and avoid touchstone all together! read more

The worst experience of my medical life. it took more than two weeks to schedule an appointment because no radiologist would work past 4:30 PM. As a public school teacher, I can not take off early. I had to call three locations before this appointment opened up at 4:15. Even though my wife raced through rush hour traffic on I-35, and we called ahead, they threatened to cancel the appointment. Once there, they seemed overwhelmed, even though there was only two other patients in the waiting room. But the real nightmare began after I left. They did not send an itemized bill to my insurance company, so my flex-spending account was frozen. A month later, I called the insurance company. We three-way called the billing department, who claimed the bill was pending, despite the insurance company insisting they never got a bill. Two more phone calls and the billing department admitted the bill had not been itemized, or sent. They promised to call me back. They did not. Over Christmas, both of my children had strep throat. We had to pay out of pocket, including an urgent care visit at Cook's Downtown, because our flex-spending account was still frozen. More unreturned phone calls. Two weeks later, I called back again. They offered to send me a statement. I said, no, the insurance company needs it. They said, they couldn't do it. I said, let me talk to a manager, or I will call the Keller Police Department to report fraud. They scared them enough to put the manager on the phone, who promised again to send out the bill electronically, today. We'll see if they actually keep this promise. Lazy and lousy staff who honestly doesn't seem to really care. I called a week ahead to schedule an ultrasound and on the phone they said they'll take my insurance. When I get there (drove over from 30 minutes away while my side was hurting--which was what needed to be checked out) they simply told me that my insurance isn't covered and it's nearly $300 out of pocket. We have used this office for the entire family. Multiple times. Mammograms, ultrasounds, scoliosis studies, X-rays, you name it. Most things you make an appointment for, some are walk in basis. We have never once had a problem. My children have been seen here and the staff is excellent with all of us but particularly my with my teen who is uncomfortable with doctors etc. they have explained everything to her in ways she can understand and made her feel very comfortable. The only time we have had any wait is if we do a walk in and even then it was a maximum of 30 minutes. Much less than ER wait times. Appointments are available early in the morning and into the evening which is great for school age kids that don't want to miss school! I also like that we get reminders of appointments. Lastly it only takes 24 hours to get cd's/reports requests filled. read more
