Growing up in an abyss of Chinese bakery buns and milk teas, I was utterly delighted when Tous Les Jours broke the chain of Chinese bakeries in the Bensonhurst area. Serving an array of French inspired pastries such as croissants and baguettes, this Korean bakery also brings Asian delights such as milk cream filled and green tea infused breads. I recommend this place as an afternoon hangout spot, in which you can drink coffee or eat a small snack before heading out. The tables here are incredibly tiny and in an interesting hexagon cut-out design. I have tried studying here and it was not a good time: the tables were too small, children came in screaming and playing, and a homeless man came in to ask for spare change. Definitely not a quiet, study-friendly environment. However, the food and drinks here are outstanding. I love ordering the milk cream cake, the taro cream bread and milk bread. My drink of choice is the soy latte (they also have almond milk), which is definitely better than one the Starbucks, which is just a block away. Tips: if you check in and like their page, you can get 30% off your drink! LOVE the "CLOUD CAKE" with strawberries!! True, the strawberries were a bit sour (maybe it was not ripe enough), but I didn't care much about the sourness because the cake itself was SUPER MOIST and DELICIOUS! It was a GOOD CAKE! You just know a cake is good when it is GOOD! My sister-in-law surprised me with a cloud cake for my lunar birthday when I least expected it... I was absolutely satisfied with the cloud cake from this Tous les Jours branch. It was also my first time eating a cake from the Brooklyn Tous les Jours. My family loves coming to Tous for cakes on various occasions! Something about their cream and soft layers of cake is so desirable that sometimes it feels like you can just eat the whole cake yourself. We usually opt for the fresh cream cake that comes with pieces of strawberry in the middle. I think the star of their cakes is the cream- so light, not too sweet and unlike some other cake where you'd want to toss the excess cream, you would want every dollop here! The prices I think are reasonable for the quality so I do not mind it at all. They have cakes for various occasions as well and they all look very cute and pretty all the time! Their green tea cake is also very good but I think their fresh cream is the best! This is a 2 star spot now. Neighborhood needed a higher end bakeries but you always had to work around their schedule. They open at 8 but they don't have many of their items until 8:30 or later. Some items also run scarce mid day. I just go to Paris across the street now (they open at 7 and they have their items out early). 2.5/5 for the overall cake. I would say the best part is the earl gray macaroons which cost extra. The layers barely have any green tea flavor. Only the top dusting has green tea. Bottom layer has strawberries only but not the other 2 layers. Overall okay cake but for $40+ cake, I expected more. Cream is just fresh cream. If you want a strong flavored green tea cake, I recommend not getting the green tea cake here. However they did provide a knife, candles and a match. I've always been a Paris baguette fan over tous les jours, but when you've been wanting a cute bakery in your neighborhood someone's gotta give... so I gave tous 5 stars in hopes that they'll be here for a while :). Super friendly staff, and because it's brand new there's not a speck of dirt within its brightly lit and white interior. Food is the same consistency as the Manhattan one, with slightly less options. It's pretty cool that some baked goods have calorie counts and nutrition. Tried the two sunny egg bread today and loved it! They occasionally give out free samples and sampled the red bean donut which is essentially a deep fried glutinous rice donut with red bean filling - I just wanted a taste but I'll be back for more than a taste later on... All coffees are under la Colombe so you can expect that caffeine kick. There's none of that BS credit card minimum here and hasn't been too crowded as of yet :). So I don't know why my family decided to get another cake from TLJ After that mango cloud cake I wasn't really looking forward to this strawberry cloud cake... Don't like how the cake base is BRIGHT CORAL pink. Sorry but I just get really turned off by artificial coloring. My mom was saying maybe they colored naturally. As far as I know, beet juice and freeze dried strawberries don't color things CORAL. Again don't like the naked sides style. The colored cake means the browner outside is this yellowy-pink color. Besides the typical brown color on yellowy-white cakes, I'm not liking this off color. That's why it'd look better to frost the sides and or cut the edges of each layer. The cream is nice and smooth but can be fluffier and richer. I think they added too much vanilla extract. I was getting aftertastes from the creams. It has three cake layers with strawberries between the bottom two. Strawberries were too thin. I'd like more fruit in this. It's ripe but quite tasteless. I kinda don't know what it's supposed to mean to be a cloud cake. Which part of this is cloudy? The whipped cream? The cake nor cream is particularly airy. Glad to see a Tous Les Jours open up in this area! It's about time a cute bakery with a nice cafe setting opened up to give some variety to all the Starbucks and minimalistic chinese bakeries around. Prices seem more expensive than the Chinese bakeries around and I haven't had a chance to try the different pastries even though the cute packagings are tempting. However, this is strictly based off of a quick run in to grab a birthday cake for my cousin. They have a nice selection of cakes in display and it helped that it's right next to a display of individual cake slices which made it easier to view what you'd be getting. I found that the service was really attentive and helpful. Before I could even flag someone down, a lady approached me to ask if I needed help. She answered my questions clearly and added that the cakes came packaged with a plastic knife and free candles. They couldn't write any message on the cake itself, but they offer placards they could stick on top for an extra fee. I was tempted by the Green Tea Chiffon cake and the Sweet Potato Mousse Cake, but ended up going with the Cloud Cake ($26), which ended up with enough slices to easily feed 8 people with spare. The cake was pretty with light whip cream "clouds" and strawberries in the bottom layer and mixed berries and grapes on top. I was looking for a french bakery near the area and this popped up on my search. To my surprise it was Asian inside rather than a fully french bakery. I ordered hot chocolate and some sort of almond sugar coated pastry. They were both really good. Not a fan of cream filled items or pork in my pastries so that's the best thing I could find closest to a almond croissant I could find. Their cakes looked fantastic! Would I return? Went here right after H.K. Tea and Sushi for dessert I guess. Hmm.. my uncles girlfriend got the matcha smoothie and my cousin got the strawberry. The first wasn't great as she said there was no matcha taste to it and my cousin said the strawberry was okay. But they both said the smoothies weren't worth their price (around $6). My uncles girlfriend also got a bun and a cornet (looked like a cannoli) but said it did not live up to its price. I bought the macaroons for my family. They were decently priced ($2.25 each) but of course I got yelled at by my family for buying $31.50 worth.. T.T anyways! I got a few flavors so my cousins and sister could give them a try too. I honestly only liked the coffee and green tea bc the flavor came out the best in them, the grape fruit not so much bc it was sweet but sour at the same time. My taste buds got confused?? Came in here to purchase a cake very last minute. I purchased the milk mousse cake which was amazing! My friend's family, which consist of Chinese grandparents, uncles and aunts all loved it. Super light and not that sweet. I am almost certain that I'll be back to try the others, especially when it's in the neighborhood. The service was pretty good. New Bakery chain that opened up on 86th st. Its sort of a French/Korean hybrid. The store is very neat, everything is behind glass and you get tongs to place on your tray which you bring up to the counter. The service is friendly and they have a coffee/tea reward program as well. I have sampled a few of the good. The best by far is the French Baguette which I used for my post Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. Perfect yeasty and crusty bread, a bit pricey at 5.00 a loaf but still a great loaf of bread. This is my go-to spot whenever I need to finish my homework, my papers, or a place to study. The location of the cafe is super convenient, right by the trains station and the bus stop! And it is surrounded by absolutely amazing food! I would always pop in for a coffee, study for a couple hours, then look for food around the area and then pop back in. I love their spoonable strawberry cheesecake and their taro latte! I almost always get them for dessert. And definitely, a place to hang out, grab a coffee and chat with your friends. read more

This location is just as good as the Manhattan one but smaller and less seating. I love how they opened one in bath beach. Finally something good around the neighborhood from the city. Yes, bring all the good stuff in this area! Its a self-serve bakery with tongs and paper lined trays in the corner. There are fewer selections but I'm still glad I don't have to go so far just to get some quality baked goods. Sad thing is they do not sell the strawberry creme buns. The cold sandwiches are a good option if you're in the mood for something savory. Try the black sesame macaron, it has real sesame piece in it. Was my favorite out of them all. Highly recommend those items. Decor is modern and chic. Hexagon tables reminds me of honey comb. It would be great if they print an expiration date on each package because they go bad fast if you don't eat the pastries within 2 days. Been coming here quite often. Service is better than the one at koreatown. They don't rush you and they're much friendlier looking. Kings bakery a couple of stores down is definitely not doing as good because of Tours Les Jours. My coffee junky brother in law came here and said their coffee products are amazing! So I decided to giv them a try today. First the staff is SO nice ! The lady that made my latte was so warm and sweet she was a pleasure! I ordered the MyltiGrain Latte (3.50) the name escapes me but on the board in parenthesis is says multigrain sure I could have ordered a more common caramel macchiato but I felt adventurous today. I'm sure their macchiatos are just as good though! I asked if it was a good choice and they smiled and said it taste just like multi grain bread which I couldn't imagine and ordered a small. Also picked up a soft twisty donut (1.50) chestnut pastry (3.50) all adding up to 9.06 The pastries are delicious and soft! Very fresh! And the latte?! it's foamy and the warm cozy feeling of autumn came with that first sip. It was not too sweet nor bitter it was a nice blend of pleasantness in your mouth. She was so sweet and warned me it was very hot. Which was nice. Because after hat I thought I was going to get a steaming hot burn to the tongue but nope it was ready to drink.
