This is a very attractive bakery located in the H Mart Korean grocery store on Blalock. I spent an hour wandering the wonderously stocked aisles of the grocery before visiting to Tous les Jours to buy a couple of treats for my wife. I really appreciate that the very attractive pastries are individually packaged. The shopkeeper assured me that all were freshly baked that day. It was very easy to place an order for pick-up for a later time. I called in and asked for matcha cake size 2 (feeds 8 people). Picking up was a breeze. This bakery shop is located at Super H-Mart. Plenty of parking but since it's a grocery store, it does get crowded during peak hour. The bakery shop is a bit small and it's located at the entrance. They offered a variety of baked goods from sweets to savory bread. They also have cakes ready to buy. A great option for birthday cakes. I like that the cakes are not too sweet and it has a simple decor. They also offer coffee drinks on their menu and smaller desserts near the cash register. This is an expensive bakery which has mediocre overpriced cakes but pretty good bakery items. It's not on the level of 85 degrees - not even close - but it's very popular around the world and you can find them in H-Mart stores everywhere. Last time I was here, I was really interested in getting a slice of cake to eat, however the girl behind the counter was busy on her phone. Anyone who states they feel bad for her is silly. This place has been providing cakes for my family for two decades. In recent years, however, we started shying from it, mainly because we are getting tired of eating it at least ten months out of the year (we have a big family with just as many birthdays). The fruit cake itself is good - it uses whipped cream and not buttercream so it's very light and spongy with a lot of chopped canned fruit. (Frankly, I prefer that over fresh fruit - who knows how fruit are washed.) It's great for those who are not into sweets. The Chantilly cake at Whole Foods is sweeter than this cake. I'm also pretty sure the large Chantilly at $40 is cheaper than the large cake here, although the large Chantilly is smaller. Other choices here include the mocha or the sweet potato, but they both lack in texture. If you're going to get a cake here, order the fruit one. Don't just get the cake from the glass case, given what another reviewer has experienced. read more

Great selection of pastries in a small corner of the Hmart shopping center! We grabbed the cocoa hazelnut croissant, chocolate dipped croissant, almond croissant, match cream croissant, and a milk cream bun. Everything was delicious! The owner has been changed a few months ago. If the old owner still owns the bakery, I would give 5 stars. But for the new, just one they don't even deserve one, google just don't have 0 stars. Lack of care for the bakery and worst customer service. Sometimes bread comes out not well done. They keep the leftovers from night and sell in next morning that's why most of the breads in the morning are kinda soggy. I took the pictures last week.They're all dusty inside and out. Also cakes become more expensive. They hired a new girl and I don't think she has any customer service experience because of her bad behavior. And another girl, her name is May. I am giving three stars based on average of two locations. The Blalock one is great and deserves five stars. The one in Bellaire deserves one star. That location doesn't seem to have their own listing on Yelp so I am posting here. I bought a cake there today and my cake was frozen!!! The fruit inside was hard and icy. It was pretty much eating a frozen cake. So that location doesn't make their cakes and those are premade frozen cake they defrosted! The Blalock location use to make to their cakes daily but since change in ownership, not sure if that is still the case. I haven't had issues buying from that location. read more

Finding a good baguette in Houston is like trying to find good tacos in Vermont. I saw the sign for this bakery in a grocery store that I was unfamiliar with and otherwise would have been unlikely to visit so I stopped in with my fingers crossed and found a real baguette in Houston. According to the baker the baguette is made in house from scratch. Most places in Houston use frozen dough or even if they are legit like common bond and make from scratch they don't make a good baguette, for instance CB baguette crust is too thick like Italian bread and too hard to chew. Tous uses real flour and bakes in house. It is close to the real thing. Crusty flaky crust and pillowy soft middle. Very close to a real baguette. God bless Tous. Now about this grocery store. This place is a trip. It has like five restaurants, a beauty salon, a clothing store and space available for a recently closed jewelry store. I was tripping on the seafood department which is like 1/3 of the store. You can get almost anything, alive or fresh. I will be getting some blue crabs here as they were alive and looked eager to jump in a pot. read more

Located inside the Korean grocery store, Super H Mart, this little bakery has some really beautiful and unique goodies to satisfy every taste. There's a lot of the standard stuff, bread filled with bean and custard and savory buns for those that lack the sweet tooth. but there's also some interesting finds suck as warm fried bread, mini breads, muffins, and tarts. They definitely sell out of a lot of the popular ones early in the day, so if you visit in the evening, don't expect much to be left. Their cakes look absolutely gorgeous and delicious, perfect for a special occasion, though I can't comment on how they taste. They do sell little single serving cakes as well, and you can eat at the nearby tables by the food court. My favorite is the fried curry bread. The cakes are the best deal here although they are a bit pricey. You have to have the appropriate palette to appreciate the pastries though.

The cloud cakes here are probably the most amazing cakes I ever had! They are so light and airy it feels like you're hardly eating anything at all but the flavor and sweetness is just on point not too sweet just enough to satisfy you and feel satisfaction in every bite! read more

First off Tous Les Jours is located inside Super H Mart which is mostly Korean Food. They have a good selection but go early. They have all kind of cakes for different occasions. Not sure if they do custom wedding cakes. They carry many fresh made Asian breads. Also a very good selection of cream puffs, raisins in the bread and other treasures. I saw a gluten free fresh loaf of bread later one evening but most of the real yummy varieties of regular breads and croissants were sold out. I got a Tiramisu Cake one time. It was good and light but lacked the flavoring that Italian tiramisu cake has. It wasn't a bad feature, just different. Quality was still very good overall. I wish we had one of these Tous Les Jours closer because I like the light texture and less sugar than most American pastries. I believe they close at 8pm, an hour earlier than Super K Mart. Huge parking lot. Weekdays there is plenty of parking. Saturday mornings and early afternoons it gets quite busy. If you have a nice car I would suggest going on the weekdays and park further from the front door. This is a very family oriented grocery store and car doors do fling open wildly at times. This bakery shop has some cute options for cake and pastries. I really like the decorations on their cakes. It looks like it would be very yummy and flavorful, but like the saying goes, never judge a book by it's cover." Well, in this case, never judge a cake by it's frosting. I've ordered 2 cakes from them in the past. The first one was so dry and didn't have much flavor. I was expecting it to be moist and flavorful; so I was so disappointed. The 2nd cake I thought they would improve since it's been a few years, I ordered one for my bf's birthday and it was the same as the first.. super dry and not very flavorful. SUPER OVERPRICED BAGUETTES!!! I got 2 baguettes for $5.90! (Say what?!) They didn't even have the price displayed so I didn't know I was being ripped off until they rang me up at the register. Will NOT come back for baguettes EVER again... Customer service was also questionable. All I heard she said from the moment she saw me was "5.90!". Her facial expression looked like she couldn't wait for me to pay and get out of her sight any faster. Woman! I don't think a smile would hurt too much, you know? On a brighter note, they have really good cream puffs here for $2 per bag (there are 6 puffs in each bag, if I remember correctly). I really hate to do a negative review but I decided to take my time to write this post. Day before yesterday I bought a pizza bread and a piece of cake. They both looked very great but my first bite crash my expectations.... Very old!!! The bread is so dry and I can't chew it off. The sponge of the cake is dried out..... I was very disappointed that they have no problem selling days old bread and cakes. I've seen several Tous Les Jours bakeries where I've traveled, including Vietnam, and I have no idea why I haven't tried it sooner! This place rocks. To start, their pastries are packaged in some sort of plastic casing with Tous Les Jours stamped on the front, so no need to inspect each pastry/bread loaf carefully to find the "cleanest" one without people's spit germs or sneeze boogers hanging off of it. Here, you can be sure that there's less chance of your pastry of choice being germinated. A for sanitation. You can watch the pastry chef do his magic on the cakes in the tiny room next to the counter. There's a glass wall and I almost always see him furiously icing cakes. Fun way to pass the time. Speaking of which, their cakes are so much better than Jungle Cafe. This isn't the type of dessert you'll find at standard Asian buffets. You know, those small squares of lackluster cakes with cheap icing and glazed fruit. Personally I'm a fan of the Blueberry Cream Cheese pastry, which is topped with almonds. It serves as a substitute in place of my usual breakfast blueberry bagel with cream cheese. The bread is light and fluffy and inside is a generous smearing (but not too much) of blueberry cream cheese. I am also a fan of their Chocolate Croissants! It's almost on par with French Riviera's. Moist, better quality chocolate, and just the right amount of flakiness. To note, there are more pastries to choose from: cheese croissant, ham & cheese pastries, chestnut pastries, sweet potato pies and the list goes on. They also have donuts, Asian-style bread, pan bread and coffee pairing pastries. You can also call ahead of time and order some loaves. As for their beverages, their Caramel Macchiato tastes almost exactly like Starbucks (which isn't too bad), and I saw that they use Ghirardelli chocolate syrup for some of their drinks. Good stuff! Very decadent bakery with amazing breads and pastries. They are clean and friendly there. It's a must whenever I stop into hmart.

This Korean bakery I thought was good - although albeit overpriced. I thought the milk bread was good - it was soft and fluffy and had a good flavor even though by looks alone, it looked undercooked (but it wasn't). It was unique and maybe I would get the loaf next time. The melon bread really tasted like melon but I don't know if I could eat it often unless if I really wanted melon only. It was sweet and I am not sure if they just used melon artificial flavoring. The sausage pizza bread (which was more of a chopped sausage and onion bread) was tasty although it is pretty easy to find throughout Chinatown. The sweet potato cream bread was good (and yes, it's sweet). The fruit tarts are great - try to get them if you see them. I got the last one when I was here and noticed they sell out faster than the breads. I don't know if I would drive out of the way to here again but the quality overall was good and not overly sweet. I freaking love this bakery. It's my fav one and go-to. Their cakes are amazing, not too sweet but very delicious and well-decorated. Their macarons are quite pricey but it's well-made and the cream filling inside are so good. They have a lot of variety. They have a lot of different pastries and literally every single one of them were 10/10. Especially the creamy ones and the ones with sausage and stuff. I'm not particularly impressed with the selection at this store, compared to the ones in Dallas. I also think they may skimp on some of the ingredients. I got the mammoth, which had very little crushed peanuts on it. Normally, when I get the same bread in the Carrollton location, the mammoth is topped with a generous portion of peanuts, which I think add a nice layer of texture to the bread. Located in Super H Mart at near Blalock and Long Point. I was so ecstatic when I heard "Tous Les Jours" has opened its first store in Houston at Super H Mart (Korean grocery store). For all of those you who do not know what this is, it is a premier bakery that is currently operated by Korean conglomerate; unparalleled and unrivalled bakery by far!! The city that is mingled by many Koreans, this is definitely something that was a long overdue. What this means to me and my fellow Korean-Americans is that we no longer have to yield to the pastries that are abused with extra richness and sweetness found in many common grocery's bakery and some restaurant's desert menu for that matter. I knew this bakery is something to be reckoned with because I have never gone over the hump of thinking where can I possibly find better quality, the texture and flavors from single bite will just burst your salvery glands, when I was living in Beijing couple of years ago. And yes, money no longer became an issue when I was enticed again by the same fragrances and allowed me to remember and gave me the desire to relive how those individual pastries tasted like. Gotta tell all you Yelpers that this is something you guys need to try if you are lover of deserts and bread. These are some pastries that has been baked with perfection. I am willing to recommend to those with fastidious taste buds to see what you guys think about it. Just to let you know this store has been opened since yesterday, May 2nd, when Super H Mart had its gland opening. LOVE this bakery!! They are definitely one of the best bakeries in town!! Their french breads are so fresh. All their pastries are tasty. My absolute favorites are the red bean walnut croissant and kaya muffin. Growing up eating kaya, I can say that they got their kaya down. It is very authentic, I love it! Be adventurous and try something you haven't had before, chances are you'll love whatever new thing you just put in your mouth. ;) I recently purchased one of their delicately decorated fruit topped, whip cream frosted cakes. It was amazing. Adults, teenagers, and children all loved the cake but how can you go wrong with fruit and whipped cream? The other thing I love about Tous Les Jours - the little baskets you use to place your elegantly wrapped pastries in. It's not much but that little extra touch upgrades each pastry to a luxury good.
