While there are crepe cakes available everywhere, Lady M is the OG and their crepe cakes consistently deliver a silky, fluff delicate delight for special occasions. Each cake is made of layers of individual crepes spread with a thin layer of cream so it takes more effort to make one of these than the usual cake. ** Dubai chocolate (4/5)-- seasonal and soon to be replace with Dubai chocolate strawberry! Although pistachio cream and chocolate are usually pretty dense, the cream here still remained fluffy and light while feeling decadent. The pistachio didn't taste artificial either. ** Green tea crepe cake (5/5)-- always a classic and perfect for fans of strong tea flavor. Fluffy, airy, melt in your mouth goodness. Be wary of inhaling while you eat because of the matcha powder! Besides the crepe cakes, they also have "normal" sponge cake, mont Blancs, chocolate covered treats, and coffee/teas. The grand interior and set up of this location makes it feel luxurious but could definitely be intimidating or less appealing to solo visitors or those who just want to pop in and out. There are waiters greeting you at the front and a line of staff at the pastry case at the back. No price tags in the display case so sticker shock may be a possibility (there is a menu to browse for dine in you could ask for though). The inside looks like somewhere for high tea, and the service fits the part. The restrooms were clean too. It was really quiet on a weekend morning with just us. One thing I didn't like was it was FREEZING inside. Even with a hoodie, I was still quite cold so it was harder to enjoy the cakes to the fullest. Lady M will still be a special occasion place for me instead of a usual stop, but I'm happy to have the option to visit whenever instead of flying to New York, etc. If you've never had a "good" crepe cake, definitely try their original or green tea matcha versions! read more

Lady M opened another Houston location across from Teso Life in the shopping center. There is plenty of parking and the exterior/interior is very clean, modern, and upscale. You can dine in or take your desserts to go. The must-try here is the Signature Mille Crêpes cake. It's light, airy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It paired well with the iced strawberry matcha. We also took home the Earl Grey and Tiramisu slices, which were just as good later with a hot cup of tea or espresso. The slices (and full cakes) are on the pricier side, but the delicate layers and unique flavors make it worth it. The place is very elegant and they even have outdoor seating. I love that you can just hang out there and eat or get something to go at the front. The service is great and they even have a service robot thing that brings the dish out too. The place is clean and they serve cakes, ice cream, and drinks These are crepe cakes and I tried a slice of tiramisu. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the slice especially for the price. However, the flavors were delicious! It had the right balance of flavors inside. The only thing I didn't like about it was the powder on top. I have been wanting to visit this Cake Boutique since it opened at West On West mall. I can always see it up there whenever I go to 99 Ranch Market. Today, I finally decided to walk extra steps to check out who Lady M is. The only thing I saw was crepe cake in different varieties. Looking closely, I saw checkers cake. Ok. That's not crepe cake. It didn't take me long to pick one. I initially wanted to know the price for the Dubai Chocolate Crepe cake. Since that's $14.99, the most expensive cake in the case. The employee immediately pointed out the cheaper one was $12.99 and Checkers was $11.99. So, I got Checkers. I took it home and enjoyed it with a cup of lemon hot tea. I kind of liked it. Lady M crepe cakes are still my favorite, been a fan of theirs since 2014! I was so happy to see that they introduced the Dubai Chocolate crepe cake so I had to drop in. I was greeted right away and promptly seated. I advised that I was still waiting on a few friends but I would be ready to order in a few mins. I waited 15 minutes before finally flagging someone over to order. I asked for 4 teacups for my pot of tea but got none. I waited a while before flagging someone else over for two teacups, finally got one. I had to ask three times, from three different servers, for water before it finally arrived at the table. Thu's ended up ordering the Dubai Chocolate crepe cake AND the Yuzu Matcha crepe cake along with a pot of Paris tea. I loved both of the crepe cakes, tasted exactly like I would have imagined...if not better! The tea was great with some whole milk and honey. I have been wanting to check this place out since I learned about its opening and finally got a chance to visit as a birthday treat. I went on a random Tuesday so there were plenty of parking. I imagine it'd be packed on the weekends given the stores and restaurants around so definitely plan accordingly. Now my first observation: I had a stroller with my infant. In front of the place was a set of stairs. I tried looking around for a ramp but it wasn't super visible to me so I couldn't locate the ramp and ended up carrying the stroller up and down the stairs to enter. I'd say new parents look out for that. The decor of the restaurant is very classy. Sort of like a higher-end high tea type setting and I think that was very appealing. We ordered a latte, a Black Sesame Ti Guan Yun Crepe cake slice and a Tirimisu one. The black sesame was different - I think the sesame kind of over powered the other tea flavor that should be there and it was , ok. However, we did really enjoy the Tirimisu one. It wasn't too sweet at all, paired quite well with my latte. The staff were attentive and it generally gave a very clean vibe. We enjoyed our visit and I hope to try more flavors. read more

My sister picked up an entire strawberry matcha cake for us to share and it was so delicious, the crepe layers are so fluffy and the filling is sweet but not too sweet. Goes well with hot tea. Finally trying lady m and loving it ! I've had Mille crepe cakes before at restaurants and have not been impressed. Glad to try the real thing! The ones at restaurants tasted like they were from frozen and a bit stale. But here it tasted fresh and soft and smooth. Our fav in order: chocolate, strawberry matcha, and then coffee. We got the butter pecan and did not like it at all. Very beautiful decor and elegant inside. Have to wait to get seated unless you want to order to go. We came midday after lunch and it was not busy. Lady M is a New York based confections brand that draws inspiration from France and Japan. This is Houston's 2nd location, and their biggest boutique in the US! We ordered: - Passion fruit mille crepes | Crepes layered with passion fruit infused cream with a tangy passion fruit glaze on top | 9/10 - My favorite one! Do Not Waste Your Money Here! I was so excited to try this place after finding it on social media; everything looked amazing! However, it seems to be all about appearances. The place was clean, though perhaps because there were no customers at all. My aunt and I went in with high hopes to try the lemon-flavored crepe cake, but it turned out to be seasonal. It wasn't a big deal, but it was a bit disappointing. The waitress was overly nice, standing over us from the moment we walked in. She over-explained the menu and carded me for a champagne-flavored crepe cake. (Champagne cooks out of food when used properly, and no restaurant that uses champagne as an ingredient should card anyone.) Overall, everything lacked flavor. The ube latte was practically just a regular latte. We received two slices of cake: one Dubai chocolate, which looked like it had been sitting out for hours and was not appetizing, and the champagne one, which I tried even though they carded me and wouldn't let me order it. It also lacked flavor. The only positive aspect of our experience was the hot chocolate. For two slices and two drinks, the bill was $50, and I will never go back. I've been a long time fan of Lady M crepe cakes and cannot begin to describe my excitement in finally visiting the biggest Lady M boutique store right here in Houston! The crepe cake is just as good as I remembered it, and to enjoy it in the nice new store with fancy decor was cherry on top! However, I do have some recs to make the experience better: 1. My friend and I dined in for afternoon tea and chats, and the service we received was a bit too much. The girl who took our order would visit our table almost every three minutes after we received our cakes and tea to ask how we were doing. My friend and I could barely hold a conversation with the number of times we were disrupted. If the store was full, I would understand the need to maybe remind us of the time so we can make space for new customers, but the store was half empty, so we would have appreciated a bit more space to chat and enjoy our cakes in peace. Please train the staff to look for cues to approach instead of overstepping into conversations constantly. 2. My friend and I ordered a pot of tea for $8, and it's about a palm sized pot. Since my friend and I visited during a hot day, we asked for some water refill to our existing pot and was surprised to learn that merely adding hot water was a $2.50 extra charge. The staff asked if we were ok with that, and we said sure. Seeing our initial shock and hesitancy, the staff came back with our pot and nicely said she won't charge us for the hot water this time. We were really touched and thanked her, but halfway through pouring the pot of water in our cups, we realized that she had added hot water but removed all of our original tea leaves. Any other place with a palm sized pot costing $8 would have offered free hot water refills to the tea. I'd hope Lady M can reassess what should and shouldn't require upcharge to help customers enjoy their experience. 3. Pro tip: Lady M charges $8-$10 extra for insulated bags (depending on size) and $2 for ice packs to keep the cake slices cool if you are transporting it somewhere else. If you'd like to save a few bucks, bring your own insulated bags and ice packs so you don't have to pay $12 for a slice of cake and then about the same price just to package it home. If you are trying to estimate how long the cakes can be kept fresh in transport, this is what the staff shared with me: half hour with ice packs in Houston weather and an hour with ice packs in an insulated bag. read more

You can order takeout or dine-in. One of the major selling points is the store itself. The interior decor is gorgeous without being excessive or looking too cheap. It has a nice open concept that's comfortable to spend time in during HTX's summer. I love the elevated location and surrounding, high windows. Because it's elevated, you see more sky views than just parking lot and cars when you look out! There's plenty of parking and service is unproblematic as well. I saw a few comments about it being expensive, which is not untrue. But Lady M has never marketed itself as a cheap, everyday, morning coffee stop. From the name, to the dessert type, to the interior decor, it all alludes to a more luxurious experience. There were many ppl dressed up to take photos here. The price is relative to the experience so I'd say to come here with that expectation. My one recommendation is to install a tray of some sort under the soap dispenser in the restroom. The soap on the floor does conflict with the otherwise clean aesthetic. I personally hope to see more locations like this! I can't emphasize enough how much I enjoy the elevated surface. read more

Crazy snobby place! I came to see the menu and asked if they will be able to accommodate my group for a birthday tea/dessert for next Friday afternoon. No, they can't reserve tables. No, they can't move table or put any together. Apparently the look is more important than anything else. I asked if I can call to check how busy they are on that day, NO, they do not have a store phone. They kept saying they don't know how busy the afternoon will be. As if to discourage groups. Growing up in Hong Kong, Japanese crepes were one of my favorite childhood treats, and the moment I tried Lady M's mille crepe, I was instantly hooked. Since that first bite, I've made it my mission to visit as many Lady M locations as possible--probably around 80% of their U.S. spots and several more across Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Taiwan. Over the years, I've bought countless whole mille crepe cakes for parties--at this point, slicing Lady M cakes should be a skill on my resume! My top two favorites are marron and Earl Grey!
