It comes with chips, but I swapped for fries for an additional charge. The wrap was a good size; I had half and saved the rest for leftovers. It was tasty, but not a ton of flavor. The tater tots were nice and crispy and I enjoyed the fresh tomatoes and avocado. They gave me a huge portion of crinkle cut fries, which also would've been great with a little more seasoning, but they were good when dipped in mayo. My husband got the shrimp and grits and appreciated the large portion size as well. I had a lemonade to drink. It was refreshing since it wasn't overly sweet. Service was great. If you're a burger place with fries that taste great without the need for a sauce or condiment, you're doing something right. The French toast burger was likewise fantastic, combining sweet and savory in a great way. To drink, we all got a communal pitcher of the only frozie they had available at the time: a kind of jungle juice vodka slushie. It, too, was great--worthy of multiple rounds. The staff and service were excellent everyone was friendly, attentive, and professional. The drinks from the bar were honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. The bartender definitely did not skimp on the liquor, and the drink was perfectly made. For brunch, I ordered the omelet with jerk shrimp and it was absolutely delicious flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. My friend ordered the catfish and she loved it as well. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. She also ordered dessert and really enjoyed it. Toward the end of our meal, Alvin, the owner, came over to our table and introduced himself, which was such a nice personal touch and made the experience even more special. Before leaving, I even ordered food to take home because the meal was that good. Overall, this restaurant was an excellent choice. Great food, great drinks, great service, and a great atmosphere. They arrived about five minutes before the rest of us and grabbed an empty table while they waited. When we got there, the rest of us got in line to order. There were maybe five people ahead of us and plenty of empty tables. Before we even got to the counter, the owner walked over to our friends and told them they couldn't sit down before ordering. They explained that the rest of their party was already in line, but he kept insisting "that's not how it's done here" and got increasingly agitated. My friends finally asked, "Do you want us to leave?" He replied, "I'm not threatening you," but it certainly felt like he was. If that's the policy, then put up a sign. Put it on the front door, on the menus, or on the tables. Don't publicly scold customers for breaking a rule they had no way of knowing existed. It was embarrassing, especially since these were friends visiting from out of town. We left wondering why the owner was so worked up over people sitting at one of the many empty tables while the rest of their party waited in line to spend money. We've always enjoyed Stanz, but after today we won't be back. We'll be taking our lunch business down the street to Bluestone instead, where we've always been treated warmly.
