Dr. Knott is awesome!!! The office is not a chain...which I refuse to go to! She is gentle and I never feel a thing when having dental treatment. Her office staff is the Best...takes the time to explain what my insurance will not cover and my estimated portion due. The hygienist, Barbara, is exceptional. WOW! Dr. Knot and her team are absolutely outstanding! I came in as a new patient who had put off going to the dentist for years. Understandably, I had several small cavities (5 to be exact). I went ahead and got on Town Center Dental's in-house insurance plan, which is really quite affordable. You get 2 cleaning a year on this plan and tremendous discounts on any further services needed. I went ahead and got my 5 fillings done and Dr. Knott had me in and out in about an hour! Her and her team do their very best to make visits as comfortable and quick as possible. 5 stars all the way -- I look forward to calling Town Center Dental my go to dentist! read more

This has been my dentist for the past year. Overall my experience with actual work done has not been bad the doctor is very nice and the staff is pretty friendly. Now let me explain the one-star review. After going here for a r e year I've noticed that my insurance has been double billed almost every single time that I've been here. Of course my insurance denies one and only approved the other I figured it was no big deal it was probably a mistake. Two visits to go when I had some crowns fixed they charged me full price. I had a lot of work done so I figured it was just my deductible. A couple days later I decided to look into it and realize that they also I sent the claim to my insurance for the same exact amount. After talking to my insurance they informed me that I should have only paid my co-pay. It has been over three months since this has happened. A Woman by the name of Karen finally called me back after probably 15 to 20 phone calls and messages. She told me that they did not Bill me incorrectly on my last visit. But she will not pay me back until after she audits my entire account to make sure that there were no other mistakes that would benefit the dentist office. She admitted that they billed me incorrectly last time so they are holding the money they owe me Ransom until they audit my entire account so that they do not have to pay me back the money they owe me. Do not go here they will mess with your insurance they will steal your money and they will not give it back to you. To top it off Karen said she will not be able to audit my account for a few weeks until after she gets back from vacation and then she hung up on me what great customer service. I highly suggest anyone that reads this and has had a similar experience please leave review it is only way that this kind of stuff stops. I will be going to the Dental Board, the Better Business Bureau, and I will single-handedly try to bring your business down simply by leaving poor reviews until you're one star. This has been my dentist for years. I really do trust her. She is trustworthy and does a great job. This past Tuesday in July 2020, I had my teeth cleaned by the dental hygienist. She did it the old fashioned way. No use of electronic instruments. This was the best cleaning! I was so happy with the results! I highly recommend this dental hygienst. Complete Scam! As I talk to more people, I am learning that quite a few dental offices are doing this. I had a coupon for a $35 cleaning and was told that I had to get an exam as well but could use another coupon for $10. Short version I was charged $660 (prior to receiving service) for a cleaning that was definitely not deep and was far inferior to any regular cleaning I'd ever received. Read below for the full story. Full Version The doctor told me that I needed a deep cleaning with phrases such as "heart disease" and "irreversible bone decay" sprinkled in. If I didn't act now, the periodontal disease would progress further beyond repair. When I asked about the difference between a deep cleaning and a regular cleaning, I was told by Dr. Teresa Knott that a deep cleaning takes an hour and half and is much more intense and thorough to get to plaque that lies beneath the gum line. She described the ultrasonic tool that was used as if it was specifically reserved for deep cleanings. She said that a needle-less anesthetic was administered and that I could expect my gums to be sore. I was also told that I'd be given a prescription-strength mouthwash. When I asked if I could just get a regular cleaning that day, she said no because it was just a basic polish. Brittany, the office manager, said I had to pay up front. I told her that I didn't want the prescription mouthwash or anesthetic to save on the overall cost. She said I had to purchase the mouthwash but could leave off the anesthetic. The total cost for the deep cleaning was $650 plus the $10 exam fee. This seemed like an unreasonable cost, but with the urgency presented to me, it seemed like the only option. Additionally, the cleaning was made to sound like an aggressive treatment plan to cure my periodontal disease. Once the cleaning began, I noticed that same exact tool was being used that I had experienced with other "regular" cleanings from previous dental visits to other offices. I asked the hygienist, Lana, about the differences between deep and regular cleanings. She said they were basically the same but that one took more time, about an hour and a half. This struck me as odd that the same exact tools were used, but I figured that since mine was a deep cleaning, it would take much longer. After using the ultrasonic tool, she did the standard amount of scaling, and then flossed most of my teeth. When I pointed out that she didn't floss the upper and lower back teeth, she just noted that I should include those in daily flossing. The entire cleaning took just over half an hour. She didn't even polish my teeth or offer a fluoride rinse. I have had a deep cleaning in the past (paid $75 in 2010), which took an hour and a half and did indeed leave my gums tender. It was not a pleasant experience, which is why I was shocked when I felt no pain or soreness at all. Additionally, there is still plaque on my teeth. I contacted the dentist, Dr. Teresa Knott, to ask for a refund saying that I'd be happy to pay for the basic cleaning I originally asked for as well as the x-rays & exam ($45). She said she'd clean my teeth again if I'd like, but did not offer to refund the $660. After contacting other dental offices, I learned that this is a completely unreasonable price even for a deep cleaning. read more

My dental hygienist Mary was absolutely amazing. I typically have bad experiences with cleanings and she took great care of me. She was very kind and personable. Dr. Knott was also very nice, she told me exactly what I needed and gave me suggestions that were specific to my needs. I never thought I would say this, but I look forward to going back to the dentist! read more

The doctor wants to bill me for a missed appointment when I spoke to her and she answered the phone, phone records do not lie. This is not the first time that the billing has not been correct. If I owed the doctor, I would def. pay her, but I am not paying for a visit or a missed appt when I spoke to her at 4.58pm on 3/17/2016 and cancelled my sons' appt. I will make a complaint to the Texas State Board of Dental examiners before I pay a dime, in fact she owes me a cash refund for billing and making me more out of pocket than what my dental insurance co. stated I should pay. read more

Please save yourself the time and hassle. This office is completely unprofessional. They have intentionally charged for work that was not completed. I have received invoices and phones call about root canals and crowns, bridges. just a whole lot of chaos after one simple cleaning! I should've known I've religiously gone to the dentist my entire life 2 times a year a every year and this is the first place that claimed I had gum disease wanted to drill into the sides of my teeth and pretty much do work in my entire mouth. I will drive back to downtown Dallas before I waste my time ever venturing out for a new dentist again! I can not pressure you enough to STAY AWAY!!! read more

I've been a patient of Town Center dental for almost a year at this point. I came to them after not being able to visit with a dentist for a few years. I did have a few dental issues going into the visit and Dr. Knott and her team very clearly and helpfully laid out a road map of what i would need to have done to get these things improved/fixed. I have had multiple cleanings, along with a root canal and crown done by their office and at all times they worked to try and be flexible with scheduling, and were able to help when my temporary crown because dislodged. I've been pleased thus far with their service and would recommend them to friends and family. read more

I don't typically write reviews..but here we go. I'm new to the area and needed to find a new dentist. I received a mailing from Town Center Dental with phrases like "We treat you like family!", which sounded lovely, so I called them on a Wednesday afternoon to set up an appointment. I got a voicemail so I left a message. I had not heard back from them by the time the following afternoon rolled around so I called again. I got the answering machine again so I left another message. Finally, on Friday morning, Tabitha called me back and left a voicemail. I returned her call and she was so short and rude that I told her to forget about it. The conversation went something like this, "Hi Tabitha, my name is JoEllen and I had a missed call from you this morning." "We were returning your call." "Yes, I was trying to set up an appointment with you guys" --Silence-- Then, very rudely, "So do you want to set it up?!" She said it like she was upset that she had to make the appointment! I can't fathom why she didn't even try to be pleasant with someone who was trying to give her office business!! Maybe Dr. Knott is great, I'll never know...but hopefully someone in charge of training/hiring/resource development sees this so they can improve their customer service...especially before they send out more direct mailings to market their business. read more
