My 7 year old daughter just got braces on today and we have had a great experience so far. Highland Park Orthodontics was quick to get us in for a free consultation. I was able to input my insurance information before our appointment so they knew exactly what our dental benefits were for braces. Free consultation included an x-ray and all of the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and sweet. The office space is lovely with a giant fish tank, and parking is super easy with a garage immediately behind the building. The payment options, cost and plans are very easy to understand and the office is not pushy at all and does not oversell other products. They give you options but do not pressure at all which I really appreciate. During the actual braces procedure, Dr. Lyotard spoke quietly to my daughter explaining everything she was doing. It kept her calm during the process - my daughter adores her. She seems extremely knowledgeable and explains everything. I am really grateful I found this practice to do my Invisalign treatment! After almost a year of searching for a good orthodontist, I felt like Dr. Lyotard spent time explaining the process, very personable and specific to what I was needing and asking for. I went here for an emergency orthodontic visit to remove permanent braces that had broken. I was recommended to them by my dentist who wasn't able to see me today. I called and they had an appointment available 1.5 hours later on the same day. I was impressed by their availability! They quickly fixed the problem and charged me a reasonable price. Dr. Lyotard and her lovely staff are the definition of quality. I came in to have a new retainer made out of a mold that another orthodontist gave me years ago. Instead of making the retainer, taking my money and sending me on my way, Dr. Lyotard took time out of her schedule to see me and make sure the retainer fit and when it didn't, explain my options and gave me detailed instructions on how to get the best results. I can't speak to her work with actual braces but if you want to feel like a human and not just another time slot, this is the place. Really love this place. Especially since now that my daughter is a preteen and has her adult teeth, we are getting ready to start what they call her Phase 2 finishing stage with Invisalign Teen clear aligners. I am particularly excited about it knowing how much extensive research and study Dr. Lyotard has done in an effort to be the best Invisalign orthodontist in Dallas for her patients - it shows in her commitment to her patients. Also we enjoy going to their warm family friendly office, it doesn't feel like a typical dental office. Dr. Lyotard was wonderful! I went in to have her glue my permanent wire on the back of my teeth (I had three places that needed this done). The price was $125, pretty reasonable! When I expressed interest in her recommendation to remove the entire top wire, she informed me of the higher price, but saw my hesitation and said she would do the other, lower cost. This was so generous! I decided to have it repaired for now, as I'm not quite ready for it to be removed and to commit to wearing my plastic retainer 6 nights a week. :) The procedure was fairly painless except for a little nerve activation from a couple teeth (ouch!). It was otherwise quick and easy. The lobby was excellent and welcoming as well! They had chips and a Keurig machine available, and had comfortable chairs, couches, and even a fish tank which exhibited the cast from "Finding Nemo." Highly Recommend!! read more

She takes all the time needed to explain what to expect with my treatments and answer any of my concerns. I have been extremely pleased with my treatments and the results we are both going for. The office staff/team are also great to work with. From the front desk, office manager to ortho techs, you are in great hands. They are also friendly, professional and welcoming and you'll find it to be a calm environment. Let me add, I have been nervous about going anywhere during Covid, but this office has gone over and above to keep all patients safe and spaced out. AVOID THIS OFFICE AT ALL COSTS. There are 2 HUGE problems with this office now - Dr. Crawford was wonderful, but is mostly retired now. She is rarely there and the new doctor doesn't even live in Dallas. She flies in for 3 days/week and getting an appointment there when the kids aren't in school is IMPOSSIBLE. They are literally open 3 days/week 7am - 3pm and one of the days is reserved for New Patients - and they WILL NOT see existing patients. That leaves TWO days to try to get in and only one where they stay open until 4:30. Those appointments fill up months in advance. There are so many good orthodontists in Dallas, save yourself the AGGRAVATION and go to someone else. You'll thank me... read more

I heard such great things about Dr.Lyotard I drove all the way to Dallas from Houston to have her custom make me a combination retainer and mouth guard last August.  I am so glad I made the trip.  The office is easily accessible from both the North Dallas Tollway and I-75 so I had no major trouble finding it.   I found the service excellent, the care more than satisfactory, and the wait time reasonable.  I won't be trusting anyone else with the care of my smile from now on.  I just made the trip from Houston again. read more

I brought my girlfriend here for an orthodontic checkup and appliance fitting and was duly impressed.  I was told I was welcome in the exam room, so I met the doctor and toured the office.  Dr. Lyotard is friendly and more importantly seems very competent.  The staff was very helpful.  Their office is clean and upscale, while they don't over do the fluff frills, I did enjoy a complimentary fresh coffee while I waited. Won't say I loved it so much I'd get braces just so I could come back, but I would recommend it to anyone who needs them. read more

My treatment occurred while the practice was transitioning over from Dr. Crawford to Dr. Lyotard. Both were GREAT, and I have nothing but positive impressions for both. My Invisalign treatment went really well. My bite started out a mess, but now it is something I am proud of! I would definitely recommend Dr. Lyotard to friends and family. Traffic around Preston Center in the morning can be heavy, but I found an easy way. Take Preston (avoid NW Hy and Douglas), go West on Sherry, then before you get to Douglas turn right to go through the drive-in bank, and then a right directly into the parking structure. read more
