Let me start by saying that my interactions with all people, except for an owner, were overwhelmingly positive. With him...not so much. The facility is nice, clean, and well-lit. Unfortunately the fees are excessively high. After attempting to negotiate a long-term lease at a slightly lower-rate (preferable for everyone) I was told "the price is what it is". Brilliant response. I reviewed other storage units in town and was able to lock in an identical sized unit. Owner there was incredibly friendly and I viewed their units. Not as pretty as this place but I'm not planning on living there. So in closing, clean rental unit, appalling ownership. You can find cheaper units in town without looking too hard. read more

I. CAN. NOT. believe how much I LOVE every single person at Town Center Storage. I have been through absolute hell trying to find a new home to rent and dealing with completely inhuman-humans at property management companies! Today I realized that the unthinkable has arrived and I'm about to be homeless with my dogs and kids, and that I was going to have to put my stuff in storage and go to a motel. I'm grateful to have the money to do it, but things were not looking so good... And then, I called Town Center Storage. They answered the phone with "how are you today" and I thought it was a recording. Ha! They had the units I needed and offered a one month special on both, they took my reservation over the phone without asking for my drivers license, credit card and first born child, they offered me a free truck to move my stuff, and they said I could come in on the day I move in to fill out the paperwork! They are the bright glimmer of light in my world today. I told them I wanted to run over and give them a hug (I still will when I get there!)!! I've been in tears and really wondering what has happened to our nasty, money grubbing world and, no joke, their act of ethical kindness lifted my spirit and has given me the strength to get through this mess. It's been an easy going relationship with management at Town Storage. A business that's run as if you're a friend. Always a water bottle offered... Free... Candy on the counter.. a friendly smile.. I had never rented a storage unit before. It wasn't something I looked forward to. However this place made it easy and convenient. Everything was clean. The staff were friendly and polite. I only needed a unit for a short period. I was worried there would be hidden fees and charges. I was pleasantly surprised though. Everything worked out well. Cindy, Manager at Town Center Storage, is friendly and truly cares about customers. Moving is only slightly stressful for me because quite frankly I am nomadic and have moved a lot in my life and I'm not really attached to material things. That said, storing the few personal and precious belongings I do have can cause a level of anxiety for me that I don't have time to deal with since I work fulltime. Cindy alleviated that stress and anxiety by answering my calls and calling me back, leaving me short but detailed messages with all my options. She even texted me so I could work and make informed decisions while helping my own customers, being there in the office consistently during the days and times posted, being approachable and listening to my needs so she could advise me on the amount of space I actually needed and even accommodating my request to downsize when I sold items on Craigslist. Cindy kept the paperwork process simple and fun by signing and cracking jokes and offering me water and walking me to the bathroom. Every time I go there I get help with anything and everything from instructions on how to use the elevator... borrowing one of two sized dollies...even suggestions on my lofty business ideas and solutions to mankind's woes. Lol. The last thing she did brought tears to my eyes because I just started a new job and am close to the bone with funds...she matched the lower price offered me by a competing storage company who is closer to where I work. and then to top it all off she started my newer smaller storage unit rental on a date the kept my price low enough to manage until I get my next paycheck. She truly has guest mentality and follows the Golden Rule and treats people with a down-to-earth honest yet gentle manner and a humor that is more like a sister than just a person who I'm there to do business with. Maybe its just me but I am happy to drive through five cities across Santa Cruz County to do business with someone like that...and as a result I even trust her place with storing all the precious photos of my family. I loved it here! I was moving from Southern CA to Santa Cruz, traffic put me behind schedule and I called Town Center Storage and they said they would wait for me if I arrived after 5pm *bless their hearts* When I arrived I was offered some cold water, and the staff were super friendly. I was even handed anti-itch ointment for my mosquito bite covered legs! they really took care of me from begininng to end. When I lost my CPR certification card on their property they held it for me and gave me a call letting me know it was waiting for me at the office. Over a year ago I lost my sister to cancer. I sold her home and needed to find a storage company to store her furniture and keepsakes. I found Town Center to be the best rates and they also had a moving truck available for free. That's not even the best part yet. The folks that work there are incredibly kind and helpful. My favorite storage facility! I highly recommend Town Center Storage. The units are clean, nice and easily accessible, the pricing is competitive if not better than other facilities in the area, and the staff are kind and helpful. It's nice to find people that actually care and will do their best to work with you if a problem arises. A bonus that sets them apart from the competition is their moving truck and driver that will meet you and let you load up your items when you move in, saving you the cost of a Uhaul or at least getting much larger loads than borrowing a friend's truck! We have had the BEST experience here at Town Center Storage! We moved our items in over a year ago and have recently moved out of the area and Town Center Storage with only wonderful things to say about it! Renting the storage container was easy and Cindy Loo-Hoo was super friendly and easy to work with in getting set up and rented! She walked me through the gate code process more than once, wrote out cards for me, and always said hello and offered water and a smile whenever we stopped in. Can we give 6 stars? This is a wonderful, accommodating, efficient, clean storage place with a lovely staff of people who care. I stored things for three years with Town Center, and over all the years they've been incredibly kind, and flexible (when a credit card expired and needed updating, they called and weren't flapped by a few days of phone tag to straighten it out). Used Town Center Storage to help me with my move to Scotts Valley this summer and was very impressed with their operation! I have used many different storage places and I must say that I was really impressed with Town Center Storage in Scotts Valley. Although I only needed the storage unit for a month, they didn't frown on me and instead welcomed me to take advantage of their special! Cindy, the manager, took care of my move-in. She was excellent. She was friendly, outgoing, and she even brought me cold bottled water because it was an extremely hot day. I was able to rent the large moving truck for free (which they offer as a one time service to move you in). The man that drove the truck was very sweet, professional, and helpful. I have encountered many places that offer a special that says "move in for one dollar or free the first month", but then they always have some hidden big administration fee that they stick you with! $29.95 for one month was all it cost me and it included the truck! That's only about a dollar a day! That is quite the deal!!!! I definitely will rent here again, and you should too! read more
