I received information upon my inquiry on the phone that a routine tire check would be free. False! I was charged 13.00 plus tax 13.77. I showed the customer service person where I thought the problem was. The service ticket indicated the wrong rear tire and I was advised that I couldn't even remain outside of the service area to observe. I was told that the tire was "too old/worn to safely apply an inside patch". Town Fair Tires is only interested in selling tires and shouldn't use "free tire inspection" as a come on device to lure customers into their lair. They were dishonest and rude. read more

Poor customer service and shady practices. I scheduled an appointment to have a tire replaced and was told they needed to order the tire. I confirmed that I only wanted to purchase/replace the tire that was blown and all others were fine. They scheduled a new appointment for the tire purchase and replacement. Upon arrival, I was now being told a different story about the tire purchase and replacement. They claimed the current tires on my car were no longer being produced, which is untrue and that I needed to purchase a different brand and new set. I was able to purchase the tire from a different company and have it installed with no issues. Town Fair tried to manipulate me into buying a new set of tires. I wouldn't trust this company with my car. read more

Do not go here I schedule an appointment to find out that they don't actually schedule me an appointment. Once I got my car in, they told me would be about an hour which actually was five hours . to top it all off it was only one tire they had to change and the guy tried to steal my spare tire by not putting it back into my car .I called them out about it and they question me at first say did u look under the trunk Mat. And of course I did I put the spare tire on when I got the flat but then they returned my spare tire. I found that two of my 4 tire sensors were not working. I told the front desk at the newington store my problem and also told him I was a customer. Without any checking he sent me to the first bay and they first made sure all four tires were filled to 35 psi. then they reactivated all my tire sensors and got me back to normal operation. Paid nine hundred dollars to get my car searched while I watched on camera. The other employees in the bay physically watch him while laughing. When someone noticed I was looking they all disappeared without completing the work that was paid for. Long story short I didn't receive the alignment that was paid had to ask for refund and I noticed that they didn't install the new valves and by the way the pressure in the tires keep going up and down I don't think they replaced the sensors either. Town Fair Tire in East Hartford Connecticut needs to do better. Oh yeah and tell the technician to enjoy them few dollars he stole. read more

on 2/9/24 I went to this place to get a leaking tire repaired and have the tires rotated. I paid the $13, waited about 30 minutes and was walked to the car and drove away thinking all was completed. The next morning the same tire in the same spot was flat again. Looking closer I realized the tires had not been rotated as I had a marker on one tire. Apparently all they did was put air in the leaking tire. No Joke. Just a $13 bit of information to stay clear of this place. read more

Wanted to get a new set of Pirellis for my Model 3 (did an extensive research on what kinds were better than the OEMs). One of my freinds vehementally recommended TFT at West Hartford . He had high praises for Angel. So, I contacted the gentleman and like my friend had mentioned, he was more than courteous and super helpful and gave me an excellent price. My impression.. if you are looking for a new set of tires, go to TFT at West Hartford and please work with Angel if you can (my experience with the other gentleman there was, for a lack of better term, underwhelming). They don't even deserve 1 star. 1) I had a 1pm appointment to purchase (4) new tires. I arrived at about 12:50pm for my appointment. The vehicle was finally ready at 3:30pm. While I understand things happen that can cause delays, 2.5 hours to get tires seems a bit excessive. 2) I was driving the vehicle that I had just spent nearly $1100 on new tires for and there was SIGNIFICANT vibration throughout the body and steering wheel. Clearly, they did a very poor job balancing the tires. I understand mistakes happen, so I patiently waited until Monday so I could call them to schedule a time to bring the vehicle back to be corrected. 3) I called the number for the West Hartford that is listed on their website on Monday, 11/14. I spoke to a call center rep who was very pleasant. She asked me to hold while she transferred me to West Hartford. About 30 seconds later she came back on the line and said she tried to transfer me, but West Hartford was very dismissive and told her they were too busy to deal with me. They wanted her to have me drop off my vehicle in the morning one day and they'd get to it at some point before they closed. Seriously? They failed to adequately do their job and they can't even speak to me about it? They expect me to be without a vehicle for an entire day because of their mistake? I've never experienced worse customer service in my life. This location ruined Town Fair Tire for me. I'll never return to any location. read more

I got a flat tire while driving thru West Hartford. I took it to Town Fair, as they were the only tire dealer with the size I needed in stock. It turned out to be a repairable puncture. Not only did they get me in on their busy day, but they accommodated me having to go pickup a part (bolt key) and come back in, dealt with my kids, AND ended up WAVING THE COST of the service (I had an extra tire at home that they just needed to mount). On 12/23/2013 we blew a tire in I-84. After 3 hours of trying to get off highway with AAA we got there at 6p and they close at 7p. What we thought was just a flat tire turned out to be our rim split in two and mangled. A customer there is a mechanic so he took a look and luckily no additional damage. We get new tire mounted on spare rim and put back on. They went to move car and something wrong. The bolt to caliper was missing. Long story short EVERYONE was so helpful and kind. A customer even asked if we wanted his cell phone number in case we needed it. We had to stay in a hotel to get the bolt from dealer. As bad as everything seemed it could have been worse from a major accident, extreme damage and a shop with terrible customer service. I highly recommend this shop. They stayed open for us until 8p doing all they could do get us on the road. read more

I made an appointment to exchange tires I bought a week ago and have an issue looked at. Made an appointment for 8 am today. It was 9:45 am and still nothing. They kept saying they were trying to figure out the issue. However, the car was still in the same spot. I asked and am told it will be 15 more minutes. The car still there not even looked at. I highly recommend this business. I had purchased tires from a tire shop in Hartford spent over$1,000.00 for four brand new tires. I had to keep taking the car back to that shop as I was always loosing a considerate amount of air in the front passenger tire, and this became a major inconvenience and frustration for me. Also, seeing that I spent so much for tires and they could not or probably did not want to diagnose the problem, I took the car to Town Fair Tire and a gentleman by the name of James, in less than half an hour was able to diagnose the problem which was a dented rim. He took of the dented rim and was able to put on my spare. In the meantime, he suggested that I contact a junkyard where I was able to get a used rim. I brought the rim back to Town Fair Tire and James mounted the old tire on the rim..I was so impressed that I only had to pay $5.00 in total for all the work that was done on my car. I told James that I felt better treated by Town Fair Tire for $5.00 than what I spent at that tire shop in Hartford for $1000.00. Again thank you for excellent service. read more

I went to TFT armed with all the info I needed to negotiate a great deal for myself and didn't even have to. I drove out with a set of tires for my car and a set of rims and tires for my truck. I could not be more pleased by the service I received from Justin. Justin, Justin, Justin .. remember that name. He was great! He was a pleasure to work with. He's a great salesman and he's great with the technology. He quickly searched the dozens of rims available for my truck and was very patient with me. There were so many choices I had to leave and come back to clear a few out of my head. He dragged every rim I was interested out to the truck for viewing. He made tire shopping fun, and fast! My online research was a waste of time. His price was the best and I came in under budget. Also, during the very reasonable wait for installation, the rest of the staff was upbeat, cheerful and accommodating. Great attention to customer service. Had a bolt in a tire and needed the tires replaced anyway. Called the East Hartford location and asked if they had a certain tire I wanted in stock was told no but West Hartford had it in stock. Drove to this store did all the paperwork only for them to then realize they didn't have the tire in stock which was the whole reason I drove here. Was told we'll have them in the morning come in it will take about 2 hours... ending up being 4 hours. Got home and thought something didn't look right. I look at the tire size and sure enough they put on the incorrect tire size. Since this affected the speedometer I called them and brought my vehicle in the next morning. Was told we'll have the correct tire size in for you this afternoon... didn't hear anything so I called... oh it just came in we close in an hour can you come in tomorrow morning. Sure what other choice do I have. Go in the next morning they put the correct tire size on. All set okay... drove fine on city roads but later that day on the highway drive home there's a vibration. Vehicle was aligned so a tire wasn't balanced right. Called first thing Monday morning set an appointment for Wednesday morning... took another 2 hours they rebalanced all the tires. I asked did you find the issue. Yes you have a bend in one of your steel rims but we put that tire in the rear so you won't feel it. Yes but I'm going to feel it when the tires get rotated so that doesn't do me any good. I asked if they could swap the full size spare tire rim with the bent rim was told yes but we can't get you back into the garage for 3-4 hours. Was told come back at 5pm we can get you right in. Swapped rims and so far things seem fine. Bob was friendly to work with but this whole experience has been nothing but a headache that took a total of 6 visits to get things right which is unacceptable as well as the time it took for them to do things. read more

Looked out for me big time since I was buying such a large set of tires which means $$$$ but he found me the best deal and hooked it up. Unfortunately the weights fell off and the recommended sand bags in my rims which ended up being a bad decision on my part. Had to go back the third time and have then removed. A young manger said he can schedule an appointment on Tuesday 9:30 am to get this fixed. My wife went back on Tuesday and they said theres a nail in the tire and will have to make another appointment for another day to get it fix. This location only cares about selling tires and lack services. They need new management. Right when the young manger knew I was there just for service, he ignored me and gave my service request to another team member. Will & his crew are othimgless then great! Was running late and they still honored the alignment and tire&wheel switch appt I had scheduled. Super helpful in understanding what needed to be done when it came to transferring snow tires onto new rims and what was needed to be done with the TPMS sensors. Car went immediatly into the garage and came together well. With new rims they require you to stop back after you put approx 25miles on them to check the bolts and make sure they are holding well. Something I learned - they work with Tire rack and will match prices for wheels and tires. read more

This place in New Britain has a fantastic reputation and I purchased all the tires for my vehicles at the New Britain store. On Tuesday after Labor day I needed 4 new tires. I waited for 15 minutes for someone to st least ask if they could help me. During this time I watched the following scenario; 6 customer service representatives each had a customer. One was at a computer. As each service representative finished with its customer it appeared they would go help the service representative that was at computer. As I left there were 6 service representatives at the computer. Thank God for Goodyear right down the street. But that another story. read more

I called ahead and asked if I could get a set of tires dismounted from one set of wheels to and brand new set. The person on the phone said it was fine but since none of the stuff was purchased from them then they wouldn't be able to put it on the vehicle. I said it was totally fine since I had my snow tire set on my car anyway. So the next day I load two sets of wheels in my car during my lunch break to drop them off. When I get there I'm told that they wouldn't be able to do this. When I told the person looking at the wheels (which if you don't provide the service why would you have to look at anything) that I spoke to someone the day before he said nothing and gave me a list of other places that do. The tires were pretty much brand new. I'm mad that they said they could provide a service and when I loaded my car with two sets of wheels and drove there I was denied. I used Town Fair Tire for a long time now and never had an issue. Brought my SUV in today to replace a tire. I was using my spare. Two hours later, I picked up my SUV and return home. I then realized that my spare tire was placed in the back of my SUV and not secured underneath where it is supposed to go. Last time they replaced my tire, they put the spare tire back in the proper location. The worst part is they just threw the tire in the back without any care (See the pic). They left the tire resting on my grey plastic organizer. This is unacceptable, and I will never go back to Town Fair in West Hartford, straight garbage!!! read more
