Do not - under any circumstances - go here!!!!! They did not put my four new tires on properly, but said my car was safe to drive. It wasn't safe to drive. I paid almost $2,000. for these tires, and only half mile after leaving Town Fair Tire shop the front right tire rolled off my car, which caused me to crash into another parked car. My car is totaled, and they are saying it is not their fault!!!!!!!!!!!!! When they were confronted with the pictures below, their response was: "we never know when the nuts and bolts we use are going to give way...! We did not have the right tools to tighten the nuts and bolts after putting on the tires." SERIOUSLY?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!??!?!?!?! If you want to deal with surly associates proceed to the Dedham store. The entitled management team gives the impression that they are doing you a favor by letting them work on your car. Is installing tires complicated? For them it's rocket science. Should you decide to wait, they have a waiting room that could be mistaken for a prison cell. Plan on a minimum of six hours start to finish. If you ask for the status on your car add another hour per request. read more

Even with an appointment time scheduled, I had to wait 3.5 hours for 2 tires. I understood it was busy but what is the point of scheduling a time. The website said it could take 1 hour before the vehicle went into the bay, but it was 2.5 hours until that happened. read more

Very rude the worse possible customer service possible! Arrived at the West Roxbury location at 3:55pm, the guy at the front service desk went outside to look at another customer's vehicle, i waited over 5 mins with no assistance from anyone, the employee came back inside at 4:02 PM, and asked if he could help me, I said, I'm just looking to get a quote for four new tires, he said, sorry, we closed at 4pm, then escorted me to the door and locked it. Him and another employee were borderline smiling-laughing at me looking surprised. I've purchased from town fair tire before, however, I will never return to them again, I would rather pay a higher price at some place with better customer service who appreciates their customers, and not rude and disrespectful like this. Service technicians are great. This location needs to hire a new alignment tech. He calls out sick waay to frequently. Customer should be able to have an alignment done after spending money on a full set. This guy doesn't show up to work. read more

I have gone to TFT a number of times over the years. I'm usually in a jam and they always get me out of it. While driving home from NH my tire pressure sensor went off (probably temperature change). I knew I didn't have a flat so I figured I would just pull over for some air and reset the sensor. Well, I stupidly bought stem caps with metal threads and they rusted on and I couldn't get them off (even with vice grips). I went to TFT and they not only removed them and gave me new plastic ones, but they didn't charge for the service. Most importantly, this is pretty consistent with other experience I've had at the WR store. If a tire can be repaired, they repair it. If it needs to be replaced, they do so without hassle. I usually dread dealing with any car issues but when it comes to tires. These guys make it easy. read more

I owned an auto business back in the 90's , so I have at least a feel for when I'm being bamboozled. I fully understand they need to be profitable but this marketing that they will beat any price is horse$hit. In short, I was sold what I was told were Dunlops at 129. reg. 159 each . On sale and saving me $30.00 each. Instead I looked at the tires when arriving home and found they were some asian name generics at 55-69 each online delivered. You can't even find them on their copious website of selections. Add to this the "no charge" for mounting, but the invoice shows 19. each for "computer balancing". Fool me once. read more

The manager Paul F. is extremely difficult to work with at Town Fair Tire. The customer service is less than desirable when he's greeting people. I will not go back to the W. Roxbury location. I've serviced a number of vehicles at this location over the year and will no longer do so because of lack of professionalism and treatment of customers. The breaking point this year was when Paul told me a tire was out of stock. However, it was in stock at another locations. I asked him to order the tire 6 months prior and he never looked or placed the order. Also, not notifying a customer when their vehicle is ready after it was sitting there all day is unacceptable. Not to mention my vehicle was dropped off the night before and it should've been ready before 12 pm. read more

My experience at the West Rox/Dedham Town Fair was disappointing from start to finish. I won't be going back; and I recommend you give it a pass. Service was slow, and the guys behind the desk were grumpy and uncommunicative, not cut out for a job that requires contact with the public. It took me four visits to get my wheels aligned. The first time I was told that there was a nut on the front tie bar that had seized, so the tech could not complete the alignment. They made me pay and told me to go another shop to have the nut loosened before coming back. I thought the frozen nut must be a real challenge. But when I went to my local garage, the mechanic's response was, "What, they don't have a set of wrenches down there?" He loosened the nut in five minutes and did not charge me. I returned to Town Fair the next day, but the tech had called in sick, so no alignments were being done. The third time I went back, their computers were down. Again, no alignments being done. On neither occasion did they alert me so I could avoid a trip for nothing. Nor did they apologize when I came in, only to be turned away. On my fourth try they did, finally, complete the job; but Paul did not remember that I'd already started the process, didn't apologize, didn't even say hello. No way to run a business. read more

After recently having spent thousands of dollars at the dealership (tires rotated, recurring slow leak-somewhere-and a break job), the tire air alert began flashing-again. On the recommendation of a friend, I went to Towne Tire located in Dedham. It was after 430pm. Despite being near closing time, the front desk attendants were pleasant and helpful. The attendant that assessed my situation was very professional and provided helpful advice and service. Additional services conducted by another attendant was also pleasantly and efficient provided. Unbelievably poor service from John Rose. They DO NOT hold up their policy of price matching "No matter the size, brand or competitor we will beat the price and offer the lowest installed price!" They would not even price match an actual quote I received from Sullivan tire just down the road. This is false advertising. He was unhelpful and rude. We have had many poor experiences with town fair tire from putting the rotation backwards on tires, 6+ hour waits when we made appointments, scratched wheels, lost wheel emblems, and lost lug nut covers. I would not recommend going there unless you enjoy poor service. read more

I got two tires repaired there (Needham street in Newton,MA). They were able to find two nails and fix it. No more air pumping every week. Waiting time was a little long but they did a great job and the staff was friendly. read more

Today I went I for a low tire and just needed air. While pulling up I was saw to immediately I had the pleasure of meeting Midge who not only filled my low tire but thought safety and filled and balanced the rest. Midge took the time to detail why my tire pressure was low and what causes the light to come on. When I tell you beyond the expected customer service this man is it. When someone goes above and beyond what is expected that should always recognized. It not only shows the dedication to the company but the team. It is with my most pleasure to write this review because not only was the service exceptional but hilarious cause this mans a comedian. Similar to Robin Williams a man of many impressions. read more

I took my car here on two different occasions, but to buy tires. Since my friend's dad has an account with them, I got a good deal on the tires. I should have read the reviews though. After all the tire work was done (took longer than estimated) I then needed to get my car inspected. The next day, I took it to Nicks garage and they let me know the center emblem cap was missing on the right side. Irritated, I called my friend and he called TFT. Sure enough, while not admitting fault, they "found" another VW center cap. Fine. A few months later, I went to put air in my tires, upon the car's notification. While in the rain, I'm at the BP garage on Centre St. This is where I saw that all the the stem caps were different. One BMW. One generic, etc. Since before I went to TFT, I had 4 matching VW stem caps. Since a month or two had gone by - I knew I couldn't prove that they did this. This boiled me. Luckily the tires were new, but I'd have no access for air intake if need be. I also knew that if I talked to ANYONE at TFT, they'd look at me and deny it. They're not too friendly. So recently - I took it for a tune up at Morrison's where they had to repair 3 out of the 4 tires. I paid for it - but trust me - DONT GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE. I never will again. read more

I went to Town Fair Tire after a very poor experience at the Firestone across the street. At Firestone, there was absolutely no sense of urgency whatsoever, and they basically wasted 45 minutes of my time, because they wouldn't even touch my tire because it was a "run on flat" tire (it had a small, simple nail hole that could have easily been plugged). So I thought I'd give Town Fair Tire a try... I had a 1:00 appointment at TFT. I dropped my car off at around 12:15, figuring I'd walk across the street to McDonald's and get lunch. at 12:55, I got a call that my car was ALL SET! Even five minutes BEFORE my appointment was supposed to even start, they plugged the hole in my tire, and only charged me $6 plus tax! I can't say enough good things about this place. I wish I just went there in the first place, instead of wasting my valuable time at that "other" place. read more

They could have easily sold me on 4 tires vs. 1, but they told me that it was not necessary and explained why. The purchase and install process was quick and easy. I have a tire leak in my tire so I called a few places around to see the potential cost for the repair. Called Midas NTB and Sullivan Tires. I am glad that I called Town Fair Tires when I was in the way to Midas. I had to do a U turn right away because the blown away low cost they told me over the phone. Upon arrival. I never mentioned about the phone call but the guy told me at the desk the same price for the repair!!! I was like wow!!! They got me in and out quickly as well. When it comes to tire service. Had a screw in my tire causing a slow leak. Called and made an appointment for the next day. Waited about 45 min in the waiting area and my tires were serviced no problem, very cheap. Been about a week with no noticed of the leak continuing. Will definitely use them again in the future. read more

Heed the negative reviews. Go somewhere else for tires. If you want to see a classic "bait & switch" hustle in real time go to Town Fair Tire in WROX. The man at the counter will be curt to intimidate you. You will then sit in the cramped seating area with all the other people and remain at least an hour to soften you up. When you are ready they'll call your name and somehow it will be YOUR fault that the tire you wanted isn't available or some BS. You've already wasted an hour and very likely your card has already been charged - oh, and we already threw your old tire away... Then they'll offer to do you a big favor, "Listen, we have this other tire, it's just as good as the one you wanted..." and the grift is done. You'll either go somewhere more competent or you'll fall for the oldest scam in the world. While I waited I saw this scam used on two other people before I was called up and the wrong tire they ordered for me was somehow my fault. They offered me some old, discontinued tire that was probably there when they built the place. Why not just give good service for fair value? It's not a surprise that a bunch of old carnies and grifters run a tire shop called "Town Fair," referring to the cotton candy and Ferris Wheel fair, not the HONESTY kind. After making an appointment I waited an hour then I had to get back to work. Came back the next morning and waited another hour before they changed the snow tires I bought last fall. Another lady I talked with said she waited 3 hours for tires. The balancing on the tires I had put on is off and needs to be done over. ( By the way it's not free as they say). The manager is beyond rude. Had 4 new rims put on. Within a few hours, one of the tires was losing air. Brought it back and were told "everything checked out fine". Went completely flat the next day. When contacted, he placed the blame our "picking up a nail". Took no responsibility for what was clearly their fault. The facility is disgustingly dirty. I've now spent over an hour looking to replace the wheel cap TFT lost when they also installed the wrong tires on my vehicle. No luck yet. And my car looks terrible as a result of your store's screw up. That's a really big problem for someone who wants to sell their car soon. Town fair tire has really stepped their game up. I remember when they first opened...the place was great but then slowly started to go downhill. Howard, Paul and the techs/staff are a great team. Town fair tire isn't a goodyear, NTB or Firestone. They deal with tires/wheels and everything associated with keeping them running smoothly as you drive over those New England potholes.
