Had a great experience bringing in my car. I own a Tesla, and getting service through a Tesla center is usually an ordeal. The team working on my car was very nice and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the tire issue, explained exactly what I needed to relay to the Tesla service center (as the part needed was proprietary) and patched the tire so I could safely get it there. I haven't had a service yet that I didn't have to return to have the sloppy/incomplete work revised. I was given a price, with an entire write up of new tires and what was included. After I realized that I was over charged I called then returned. to shogun Tire. I stated the problem to Collin. She said that I can't have the tires at that price even though I had the paperwork. So she removed the tire protection from my plan then gave me the lower price. She then kept my original paperwork which proved what I was originally quoted. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back when they riffled thru my car and left it upside down, looking for the wheel key that I handed to Collin with the keys for the tires to be rotated. I have been here a few times now over the last few years and every single time I go I am so happy with the service. They are very reasonable. I had my niece's car there, they looked over so many things for us to ultimately decide that we have to sell the car. I assumed, like most places I would be charged for their time inspecting the car, but they do free multi point inspections. Just another good friendly experience as I have had in the past! The main reason I go to the Hogan location in Westwood is their technician "Collin". He is helpful, HONEST and trustworthy. Not sure I have 100% faith in the shop otherwise.... Customer tip: be sure to CALL THE SHOP if you're wondering about what's going on with your repair. They said they'd text me w/ an update and an estimate for me to approve. They never did... Recently had to replace 4 tires due to excessive tread wear, at less than the rated mileage/life span. The manufacturer declined to warranty any part of them. Appreciated that Dave, the manager, said Hogan would step up when the manufacturer wouldn't warranty the previous tires. Dave's predecessor Guy did something similar about 20 years ago for me. I was in for an oil change and he remembered a service bulletin on the last set of tires he'd sold me at least a year earlier That's why I only buy tires at Hogan because of that kind of service. read more

I had four tires replaced there on May 21, 2021. This was the only place I could find that would install run-on-flat tires with 20" rims on my 2018 Audi Q7. The work was done quickly, was reasonably priced (I had paid $180 for all four tires), and I didn't have any issues. The location I went to was clean, and the employees I worked with were pleasant. Just for my own reference (and protection), I had taken photos of all four wheels before I dropped off the car. When I first inspected their work, and compared my rims against the photos I had taken, at first I thought they had damaged one of my rims, but it turns out they simply didn't put the rims back in their original locations (which is fine). When I re-entered the shop after noticing this, the guy came out with me, and he was friendly and professional, and explained why the rims no longer matched up with the pictures I took. Avoid this tire shop. I called Hogan Tire in Westwood on 11/9/23 to order tires for my Toyota tacoma off road (the online site said they were not in stock). They made an appointment for me to have them installed on Sat 11/11/23. After waiting there for 2 hours they informed me that the new tires would not fit my truck. My truck truck has 16" rims and apparently they ordered tires for a tacoma sport that uses a 17" rim. Mistakes happen and I can deal with that, but why not just admit that they made a mistake? They suggested that I didn't know what model truck I owned and that's what caused the confusion. That us unacceptable to me. That would have been the 3rd set of tires I purchased from Hogan tire in the last 2 years (I own a few vehicles). A little respect towards your customers would do a lot to earn repeat business. I'm not going to say the customer is always right, but I will say I know what model vehicles I own. This mistake was on them and they refused to admit it. I waited a day to see it a manager would contact me and try to make things right, but that never happened. There's to many tire shops around to be treated like that. Dave and his team saved us. I (Mom) traveled from NJ to MA for a competition with my child and had a flat tire on I-90 near midnight. We planned to drive back the next day after the game. I called around at 8 am in the morning for a tire job in the next 4 hours. Expectedly I was rejected by many or offered drop&pick by the end of the day. But we can't, since it was our only car there for bringing the kid to the games. Dave kindly offered to take a look immediately and found that we need new tires. Not one but two (see pictures). He let me leave the rims for them to install the tire and drive the car back to the hotel to take care the kiddo in the morning and come back at 10:00am for installation. When we came back, his team has our car fixed, balanced and even looked at the breaks and answered all my concerns about squeaking noises. ( I was freaked out after the midnight flat out on highway that resolved through a 9-1-1 call) We are on our way to the game at 11 am. Can not thank them enough. They ran some diagnostics and found the problem was the gas cap. Picked it up, all set. I use Hogsn for both of my cars and find them courteous, efficient and reasonable. The mechanics and the managers were very nice and did their best to right their wrongs, but definitely do not bring your car here. The mechanic who did my oil change didn't put the cap back on, simply left the cap on a different part of the engine. I'd say maybe he was in a rush, but my car was there for over 9 hours (an entire work day+). The car stunk of fumes from the moment I picked it up on Thursday afternoon, I had assumed they tracked something in the car on their shoes and that it would go away, little did I know it was continuous fumes from under the hood being pumped into mine and my family's faces. I checked under the hood and found the misplaced cap on Sunday (nearly 4 days and at least 50 miles later). There was oil all over the engine and the car had begun to shake whenever I accelerated. When I called to speak to the manager Monday morning he apologized and offered to clean the engine, but also mentioned that the person who worked on my car typically didn't do oil changes. Careless, manipulative and unprofessional. Such a disappointing and unfortunate experience. Worth noting that they refused to refund any part of the $89 I paid them for the oil change, and they did not wear masks when inside my vehicle. read more

I took my Jeep over to originally get air in the tire. I went in asked if anyone could help me (I know it's supposed to be a DIY thing but I'm not very knowledgeable on how to do it.) One gentleman happily volunteered. While walking to my car his sharp eyes pointed out a nail/screw in the tire!!! He offered to fix it but made me aware of the wait due to other cars already there with appointments. All of the staff communicated steps of the process VERY well as far as leaving my vehicle, payment, the plan to fix the tire, when my car was ready etc. Going to a auto repair place as a woman can be scary but they were wonderful! I would not recommend Hogan Tire in Westwood for flat tire repair. I took a tire in with a slow leak. I told them it had a slow leak and that it might be difficult to find. Thirty-four dollars later I had my tire back. They couldn't find the leak. I took the tire off myself and put it in water. Within 15 seconds, I found the leak. I never write yelp reviews, but I felt this one was warranted. Do not recommend bringing your car to these people. Went to Hogan Tire in Westwood in December to have snow tires put on my car. They quoted me one price over the phone and then tacked on some random up-charges after the work was done. It felt very sneaky. Then, a few weeks ago I went back in to have them switch from the snow tires back to my regular tires. They called me to tell me they were having a hard time getting my tires off and claimed the Lugnuts were rusted and corroded and needed replacing. They quoted $11 each, which I learned later should only have been about a dollar or two max. Hard to believe the tires were that hard to get off when they had just put them on four months ago. Then, they called to tell me the tires I was putting back on were completely worn out and needed to be replaced. The salesman's exact words were that he would be doing me a disservice putting those tires back on, and that they wouldn't even pass the next inspection. I told him to put them on anyway (because I didn't believe they were that worn). Sure enough, when I picked up my car the tires were completely fine. I showed several other people to confirm what I already knew, that there is no way they needed to be replaced. Very dishonest and untrustworthy people who try to take advantage of those who are unknowing/inexperienced. Buyer beware read more

Please make sure when you buy tires and tpms sensors from this place that you are getting the right tire load and that they can handle the weight of your car, and more imortant if you are having work done on one of those high end cars you need to buy original tire sensors not any aftermarket parts as they will never function the same and you could have serious injuries to your car and loved ones in he car. They will sweet talk you to sell you a package and get you out the door, whether its the proper parts, safe or not to use on that particular part is irrelevant to them, so please do some homework when it comes to doing business with this place.....................buyers be very alert. read more

I do miss Guy being at the front desk but I find they do very good work, honest work and pricing. A year ago, after having a set of new tires installed at Hogan, I noticed some slow leaking in two of them. Because the rate of leakage was very slow, I just pumped them back up every 2 weeks or so. But last week, I found that two of them are going completely flat after only a week or two. I went back to Hogan where they determined that it was due to the rims. They unmounted the tires, cleaned the rims, applied sealant, and remounted...and the bill was $0. I'm impressed that they went above and beyond as a courtesy a full year after initial installation for a problem not directly related to the tires. I took my son's car into Hogan Tire this week because the brakes were making a strange noise. They got me into their schedule quickly and after inspection, told me that the noise was caused by a lack of use (my son is away in college). They cleaned out some dirt, dust and rust and said to drive the car on a weekly basis and that would take care of it. The car drives better now and they did not charge me for any work. They had also not charged me when I needed to fix a tire on my snowblower a few years ago. I felt that they were honest and professional and I will definitely be going back to them again. read more
