In comes...Moren Watch Repair....these guys are fast, reliable and always do great work. I walked in and was greeted by Luis, the proprietor. I explained my issue of needing a band adjustment, got a sizing recommendation from Luis, handed over the watch and took a seat. I heard a couple of...clank...clanks...tink...tinks....Nervous!?? Heck Yeah...the watch band was really nice and let's not talk about the expensive body of the Apple Watch! But, no less than 5 minutes, I received my watch back with no scratches and the perfect fit. This is the second time visiting Moren Watch Repair. During my first visit, I brought in my favorite, vintage TAG Heuer. It was in dire need need of a face work, a new battery and tightening of a numeral position. At that time, I was about to send it off to someone in California, whom I found online and did not know, but claimed they were a specialist in TAG Heuer watches. This did not sit well with me. It was then a good friend recommended Moren, and I am so glad they did. I was able to talk to them directly about my watch issues, ask many questions, and drill them on the many nuances of a TAG Heuer. To my suprise, these guys were very knowledgeable and explained a few things even I did not know about the watch. Thus, I gave them the work. The servicing took two days. In the end, I received my watch back looking brand spanking new, working in great condition and no damage. Talk about in need of an efficient watch repair place that does the job, this place is it. The prices are not as cheap, but you get what you pay for....especially if you are looking for someone to trust with your favorite or most expensive timepieces. The owners of this shop are fantastic! Great customer service and very approachable. They are very nice, helpful, and honest. Also, they perform jewelry repairs and resell collector watch/jewelry items as well. They are patient in answering questions and give great advice. Not to mention, watching their skillfully deft hands and craftsmanship repair watches is an incredible sight to see. Watchmaking and repair is truly a rare and fading art form....due to the digital age, tech watches...yes admittedly like my Apple Watch...lol....fitbits, modern electronics and digital hand watches. Made an appointment to check out some engagement rings. Had one in mind as that's what my…read moregirlfriend told me she was interested in. While setting up the appointment, the questionnaire asked which ring I was interested in, and if I had any other requests. I specifically requested the ring that my girlfriend liked, and had a request to bring in 2 others to help me pick out the ring. I got a confirmation email, and radio silence until the day before the appointment. The day before the appointment, I was again asked what ring I wanted, and can only bring one other person to view the rings. Concerned, so I tried calling. This was when I learn that it is impossible to call specific stores. The number goes straight to a call center. When I asked if I can talked to the store directly to confirm that they have the ring I was interested in, they said the store would call me back same day. They never did. Finally the day of the appointment, about an hour before, I finally got a phone call from a less enthusiastic person, Emely. She stated that they had the ring, and I could bring two others. At this point it was too late and I already told my 2nd person they couldn't come. When I arrived at the appointment on time, Emely was not there until about 5 minutes later. Again with the lack of enthusiasm. She walked us to her desk, and showed us the ring we were interested in, along with a few other comparables. They only had larger size rings to show. When asking basic questions, we got a bunch of "I don't know" and "I guess" response. Really soured our mood when ring shopping. Finally when we were wrapping up, I asked if there were any number I could call if I had any questions. She said to just email her, but she was not responsive to emails before. The lack of enthusiasm and responses gives me concerns to purchase the engagement ring here.
