    Comfy cats
    Rowena B.

We stayed here for almost two weeks while our house was on the market and people were coming to view it. In this new work from home life, with 2 cats and a toddler, it was too hard to manage keeping our house clean and presentable. We needed somewhere that was relatively cheap, close enough to home that we could go back and get things as needed, and allowed pets. We called before booking and talked to them about the need to leave early or extend our stay if there was/wasn't any interest in our house. They said they'd work with us, which they did as we ended up leaving 3 days earlier than we'd booked for. We got a room that had 2 bedrooms and a separate living area. It was nice to put our son to bed and have an area for my husband to work as he works evenings, and I could go to bed while he was working. I found the beds quite comfortable and our room wasn't too noisy. Due to covid they couldn't put on the usual breakfast they offered but instead had paper bags made up with an apple, bottle of water, granola bar and muffin/cake. Odd breakfast but ok. You could get fresh linen and towels after 5 days if you took what you had down to reception. But otherwise the room was only serviced upon check out. The hallways seemed to only get vacuumed once a week. Someone had dropped what looked like box staples near the lift doors and they sat there for several days. The pool was still open and loads of delivery people getting around the place every night from the lines of DoorDash/Grubhub. Having the little kitchen was great but there wasn't much in the way of utensils or knives. Other reviewers mentioned asking at reception if you need something. We didn't have much luck with that so we just got what we needed from home. I'm sure I could have asked from more trash bags but didn't and bought my own. Although our whole building was non smoking, there was a regular smell of pot in the corridors/stairways most mornings and night. It seemed to have lessened by the time we were moving out so perhaps all the pot heads moved out just before us.

Stayed at the Towneplace for a couple of nights during the beginning of the week. I've stayed at this hotel a few years ago. Marriott loyalty members are greeted with a Chocolate bar and bottled water. The rooms are suites with full kitchens. Furniture had been updated as well rooms have received a refresh since my last stay. Some of the hallways and parts of the hotel do need an update. I was on the top floor (3rd). Walls, door seemed thin as I could hear others as they were walking in the hallway/going to their rooms. They don't have a gym so passes are available for Colorado Athletic Club which is about 5 minutes away in Inverness. Their continental breakfast (limited) had me longing for European hotel breakfasts. That said, you can cook your own mega breakfast in your room if you like. They also have a green option where you get rewards points for declining housekeeping if you stay 2 nights or more. The ladies that checked me in and out were excellent. Smiles for days and great job with the welcome to the hotel! Good value for money.

When you pull in there are two buildings. The thing is there are no clear signs where to check-in or anything. It's the building next to the pool. As you walk-in there are card readers on the doors so I didn't know if I could open it or not but hey they're both open. The place looks nice on the outside but the inside is quite dated. I mean you can see where they tried. But hey you have a kitchen and you can cook! The staff are also very helpful and kind. The three stars are for the bunnies that comes outside from the bushes at night time when I went out for a smoke.

Being in the directly in the middle of SoBo. A very short distance from downtown and Broadway station. The customer service was very great. The owner cares about his hotel and you can tell by speaking to him. If there were any problems he was very helpful. All in all, this motel is one of the better motels in the Broadway area. If you don't want to spend $90+ on a hotel then The Wright Motel is the right motel for you.

Guests aren't allowed to have anyone else enter their room to even visit or will be thrown out with no refund. During my stay, the owner entered my room, walked around the room and freaked out when he saw a bathroom towel on the floor, picked it up and yelled at me but totally ignored the fact that I had used the towel to clean the bathroom floor to see how dirty it made the towel. He told me that our other guest had not paid for another night even though we were told he did and made us leave the room immediately. We had to set our belongings outside the door to move our stuff to another hotel in two trips, and when we returned to get the rest of our clothes, to our horror the old guy who cleans the rooms and lives on the premises, had taken glasses of water that had spoons with peanut butter on them and dumped the contents onto our clothes saying " that's what your clothes are worth". It is a crazy madhouse at this motel and is not recommended considering the price and strange personalities. You can stay at many other motels and hotels in the area for the same price with no harassment whatsoever.

While the majority of the hotel was fine, the mattress on the bed were rather uncomfortable (I ended up on the sofa bed because of it) and there were some large and questionable stains of the blinds. The location is also very convenient as it's close to some good restaurants as well as larger stores such as Target and Best Buy. Pretty good for a quick two-night stay before moving on with my travels. If the remodel does address these issues, then I'd say this is safely a 4/5 or maybe even a 5/5. It had a kitchenette with an island, dishes and spoons, dishwasher, fridge, stovetop etc, which was really a nice touch. They have hot options like scrambled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, oatmeal, as well as the typical breads, pastries, cereals you get in a continental breakfast. I went with yogurt and fruit and granola every day which was very nice. The fruit is the typical mix you get out of a bucket, heavy on the cantaloupe and honeydew which was a tad slimy and tart. I really enjoyed my stay here. I likely will stay again because of business, but am absolutely looking forward to the next time. Big shout out to Lance who was especially pleasant and professional!

Traveling With Kids? Think Twice…read more What should have been a simple family hotel stay turned into one of the most stressful travel experiences I've ever had. I arrived just before midnight with my two children after completing mobile check-in through the Marriott Bonvoy app earlier and having a confirmed reservation. After multiple trips between the front desk and the room because our key would not work, staff finally opened the door--only for us to discover that another guest was already staying in the room that had been assigned to us. At that point, my children were exhausted and ready for bed. Instead of resolving the situation, I was told there were no rooms available for us, despite my confirmed reservation. It was incredibly upsetting to be standing in a hotel lobby late at night with two tired children and nowhere to sleep. To make matters worse, I watched other guests check in after me while I was being told there was no room for my family. The hotel ultimately sent us to a Comfort Inn at another location. We didn't have a car and had to arrange transportation in the middle of the night. By the time we arrived, it was 2am. The replacement hotel was old, dirty, and nowhere near the quality of the hotel I had booked. My children had difficulty sleeping, and what should have been a restful night became a frustrating and exhausting ordeal. I was promised that a manager would contact me to discuss what happened, but that call never came. No explanation, no accountability, and no attempt to make things right. Families depend on hotels to provide the basic security of knowing they have a room waiting for them at the end of a long day. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. Being left without a room after midnight with two children despite a confirmed reservation is something no family should have to experience. Gold Elite status, confirmed reservation, checked in with room assigned all meant nothing.
