Hmmm.....strange snail-like coils on top of the range. What could they be?

Solid place to stay if you need a room for several days or more. I stayed for a week and this place definitely met my needs, and more. A great location, convenient to many shopping and dining opportunities. Think of the suites here more like your first apartment rather than a hotel luxury suite and you will be on track. Nice size closet, refrigerator, four burner stove and enough counter space that you can prepare meals. Tv is close to the bed but can swing around for viewing from the sitting area. A nice desk with good lighting also. Bed is comfortable if unremarkable. Sheets are well-worn and not crisp. Not the king size with luxury sheets you find in a hotel but refer back to my apartment comment. Blackout shade is a nice feature. I do wish the windows would open because the room did smell a little stale. Light housekeeping daily with fresh towels and bed making. Breakfast is served in the dining area every morning and is as good or better than many hotels. Fried eggs, waffles, old fashioned oats, fresh fruit and other selections. Some nice touches are available like a grill on the patio that guests can use, a 24 hour fitness room, popcorn and coffee in the lobby and fresh baked cookies in the evening. At this price point (cheap!) you can't go wrong. My only real complaint/suggestion is that a designated smoking area is badly needed. Smokers stand in front of all the doors and they even smoke on the patio which ruins it for non-smokers.

Clean, convenient, friendly staff, free snacks (cookies and popcorn) & coffee, nice little outdoor pool, location is great. The kitchen was so nice to have.

Rooms generally not bad but could use bathroom renovations. Plastic shower curtain liners are in poor taste.

Main lobby is being renovated so it is a bit torn up. Have popcorn machine lobby with free popcorn which is a nice touch. Person behind front desk did not bother to get up to greet me. Wasn't rude but certainly not very welcoming. She passed me off to someone else to finish checking me in. I felt like I was a distraction rather than a welcome guest. Kitchenette was nice but I could smell everyone's cooking in the hallways so I am not a fan. Plastic shower curtain liner. What's with that? Walls in shower area had water damage. Bathroom renovation needed after lobby finished. At least in Room 127. There are plenty of better hotels in the area. I will being staying elsewhere next time in area especially for the money. $142/night AAA rate plus tax.

I spoke with a nice lady named Mimi when I was a few hours out and she assured me I would have a room when I arrived later in the evening. She reserved a room for me with just my name. When I arrived, Mimi was gone but another nice lady named Aloha was at the desk. She said there was no reserved room for me but that she could accommodate my needs. In fact, she was very kind and attentive; and after working on her computer about 10 minutes, I had my room key card in hand. This is where the issues began. Although everyone I spoke with during my stay was very pleasant and apologetic for the issues, I continued to deal with problems getting into my room (three trips to the front desk, which was quite a walk). Finally the third key card worked to unlock my door. I stayed put in my room after that because I was afraid I'd be locked out again. The room was a nice size and looked clean and neat enough but there was only one trash can so I had to move it to a central location to keep from walking from one end of the room to the other when needed. I did not ask for another one since I was only staying overnight. Furthermore, only one set of outlets near the bed worked. I'm glad I noticed when I plugged in my phone otherwise I would have been very disappointed with a dead device next day. I did notify the front desk about this issue. Also, the weather stripping around the door was missing so I could hear other guests coming and going, coughing and hacking and talking all night. Next morning, I requested a late checkout but the maid still entered my room despite my putting the door hanger out. Not okay! Overall, I'm glad I stayed only one day. I will not be back.

At about 8:30 am, on 1-31-25, I was awaken by bugs crawling on me. I was so afraid, I nearly ran into a wall in an effort to escape the conditions and had chest pain as a result. When I addressed the front desk staff, he promised me a new room. My GF and I were forced to wait in the lobby with our luggage for nearly 30 minutes. Dan (desk staff) promised the manager would be in soon to address the matter. After about 10 minutes more, I was tired of waiting for her and just wanted peace and sleep so I left the hotel for an exhausting 3 hour drive home. Dan promised she would call as I left my personal cell# and email. The manager, AMY never called or emailed. I called her 2 weeks later on (2-14-25) and she belittled my concern and said something to the effect of, "I may have bugs at my house." I'm now on sleep medication due to the trauma of the entire event. I also have a counseling session scheduled for 3-18-25, to help me cope with the mental and emotional trauma endured. I think the beds are nice. I had a room with a sofa bed. There is a mini-fridge and microwave. This works just fine for me. It's a safe area, I never saw or heard of any problems in the parking lot or hotel. The breakfast is the same every day. I ate usually on the weekends, but weekdays there were water bottles available that I'd take to work. If I come back to work here next summer, I'll stay here again. The staff was super nice and friendly. The one thing to improve is their laundry room... there is only 1 washer and 1 dryer.

My friend and I ordered room service to just have a chill girls night "girls dinner" we wanted to pour the soda into glasses that are provided in the room but as you can see in the image they were very dirty not only to the look but touch. The food considering the price was just ok. Do not order the spinach artichoke dip it is not very good at all had a funky taste. The size of the cheese curd order is insane considering the price you get so few and it's served with like a mayo which is odd. The flatbread was ok a bit heavy on the onion and we had one random tomato like was that supposed to be on there. Finally the Philly wrap- now the wrap was actually very good the fries were okay but disappointed because they were advertised as garlic aioli fries... it was all just kind of a disappointment for our little movie and room service girls night we have from time to time to just get away without getting away. The stars are really just for the room otherwise looking nice, having a fridge, comfy bed, and the standing desk is nice.

The worst was the (table/desk), there was dark drips on the side and the table was dirty. I wish I took a picture, however my husband sat down to eat when we saw the filth and I quickly wiped it down. The towel shows how dirty it was. Long story short, housekeeping does not know how to clean and sanitize, therefore my husband is picking up disinfectant so I can clean the light switches, remote, door handles, etc. I don't trust them to do it, since they didn't do their job in the first place. Lesson learned, bring disinfectant wipes when checking into a room in the future. Day 2: We realized that our fridge didn't work the night before as everything we had in there was only cool. I called the front desk to replace the fridge as I had an injection I needed to keep cold, his suggestion was to bring it downstairs and keep it in their cooler. Before insurance, the cost is $117,000, sorry but hard pass. I called this morning, no answer 2x's. Finally, in the afternoon I reached the manager, she knew nothing, my request was not filed. I explained I've kept my medication on ice overnight, however we needed a replacement. After 3 hours, no service. My husband had to go down to the front desk. Surprise, surprise... no request. After my husband spoke with them, the replacement was delivered within the hour. Day 3: my husband needed to use the jacuzzi in our room due to a sporting injury (the hotel hot tub did not have jets). He started to notice a brown film while in the tub. From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.

We got up to the room, and see the pictures. Nice room, comfortable bed, but some interesting issues. My wife was a little cold, so she set the heat up. We were in the room, it didn't get warmer, so I set the heat up to 75 (she had it at 72) and it STILL didn't get warmer. Well, I figured it would be good for snuggling. At night, it got warmer. We weren't moving to pick up the motion sensor, so I don't know what was going on. The room had a safe, a refrigerator, a nice flat screen TV with channels, a regular bed and a sofa-bed. We just used the regular bed. The blackout blinds were nice, some of the top clips were off, so you had to work to get them to black out the light, which on this fall day was BLASTING IN. Quiet location - we heard one siren, and no people compensating for something revving their engines. Double sinks in the bathroom made it easy for us to both get ready to go. We liked it. Not sure where these complaints are coming from - we didn't have any problems.
