Town Place Suites in Brookfield is a depressing place to stay. Old, in dire need of a refurbishing, the only redeeming feature of the rooms are the kitchens. The brown on brown color scheme emphasizes the low cost narrative of the hotel. Everything is designed to be cheap. Bathrooms are uncomfortable, with cheap shower curtains enclosing the tub/shower combination. Our tub didn't drain, and I almost killed myself slipping on the soap residue accumulating in the pond beneath me. I enjoy Scandinavian noir literature and film. They're dark and depressing. This is a nice hotel in a convenient location for where I work. The staff is very nice, helpful, and friendly. I love that there is a kitchen (after spending my work trips in a hotel without a kitchen). Unfortunately, the largest bed is a queen size. I like to spoil myself with a king, but I'll take a queen and a kitchen. The walls are thin, so I do hear phone alarms and muffled voices from the adjoining room. Breakfast I tried once. It was fine, but with a kitchen, I do my own thing. They do have a waffle maker. I have several trips booked here over the next few months. read more

Visiting Milwaukee for a brief getaway and decided to give this place a try. So for starters they have a wonderful, friendly staff...extremely helpful and polite. They offer a decent breakfast with extended hours compared to most hotels. Love the front desk "In a Pinch Market" where they have a variety of food goods for those evening snacks and quick, simple meals. I haven't had any neighbor issues at all, but it is located on a decently busy highway so of course there will be some outside noise. The rooms more than makeup for that though. The kitchenette is stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are CLEAN. Overall, this has been a great experience! read more

Solid place to stay if you need a room for several days or more. I stayed for a week and this place definitely met my needs, and more. A great location, convenient to many shopping and dining opportunities. Think of the suites here more like your first apartment rather than a hotel luxury suite and you will be on track. Nice size closet, refrigerator, four burner stove and enough counter space that you can prepare meals. Tv is close to the bed but can swing around for viewing from the sitting area. A nice desk with good lighting also. Bed is comfortable if unremarkable. Sheets are well-worn and not crisp. Not the king size with luxury sheets you find in a hotel but refer back to my apartment comment. Blackout shade is a nice feature. I do wish the windows would open because the room did smell a little stale. Light housekeeping daily with fresh towels and bed making. Breakfast is served in the dining area every morning and is as good or better than many hotels. Fried eggs, waffles, old fashioned oats, fresh fruit and other selections. Some nice touches are available like a grill on the patio that guests can use, a 24 hour fitness room, popcorn and coffee in the lobby and fresh baked cookies in the evening. At this price point (cheap!) you can't go wrong. My only real complaint/suggestion is that a designated smoking area is badly needed. Smokers stand in front of all the doors and they even smoke on the patio which ruins it for non-smokers. read more

Main lobby is being renovated so it is a bit torn up. Have popcorn machine lobby with free popcorn which is a nice touch. Person behind front desk did not bother to get up to greet me. Wasn't rude but certainly not very welcoming. She passed me off to someone else to finish checking me in. I felt like I was a distraction rather than a welcome guest. Kitchenette was nice but I could smell everyone's cooking in the hallways so I am not a fan. Plastic shower curtain liner. What's with that? Walls in shower area had water damage. Bathroom renovation needed after lobby finished. At least in Room 127. There are plenty of better hotels in the area. I will being staying elsewhere next time in area especially for the money. $142/night AAA rate plus tax. read more

She makes sure the guest experience is top priority and is always available to help in any way that she can. I had a really nice stay here. Check in was easy and the staff went out of their way to help me get settled after a long day of travel. The buildings are older but the furnishings were new and the desk set up in the room is consistent with other TPS I've been to which I liked. The breakfast is just cold items but I had OJ and yogurt which was enough and grabbed a banana and muffin for the road. The work out room was actually very nice for a small area complete with cardio, free weights, and weight machines. I didn't get a chance to use it but I would have liked to. The location was ideal for doing work at all the local universities and MCW. It's also right near a lot of dining options. There was a bit of noise coming from the walls of the room from pipes etc but it wasn't anything disturbing. I slept really well and liked that they had HBO. I will likely stay here again. read more

Stayed here a second time this year. Their workout room was nice. It's not the hotel's fault people talk on their cell phone LOUDLY while on treadmill. Our room air conditioner wasn't working very well. Fortunately it was cool out so I just opened the window. We only stayed one night but it was a pleasant night. read more

Stayed using Marriott points. Very basic breakfast, cereals, packaged muffins, fruit, coffee, juice continental breakfast. Very small outdoor pool. 19 inch TV from the 90's. Friendly staff. Adequate room size, clean, could reach free wireless internet from our room, otherwise free plug in was available. Comfortable bed. Cool air. Great location. Plenty of restaurants in the area along w/ grocery store. Would stay here again, using points, but would not spend $100+ standard rates. read more

I stayed here a few days while on a work trip. I'm a simple guy and all I need is a bed, but this room was nicer than my apartment. I had a couch, chair, desk, refrigerator, dishwasher and dishes and silverware. It was very clean and quiet. The TV could swivel so you can watch it from your bed or couch. The breakfast was pretty standard with some cereal, fruit and a waffle maker. What I did like is they had egg and sausage patties and you could make a breakfast sandwich with a bagel or English muffin. I made this every day. Only complaint I have is the soap had a hair on it when I took it out of the box. That's strange, I have no idea how a hair would have got there. read more

Dirty, smelly, dingy... Worst of all, the front desk called and woke me up at 1:30 a.m. to tell me to turn my tv off because someone was complaining it was too loud and that sound travels a lot at night. Really enjoyed my month long stay at this hotel. The staff was very pleasant amd went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Coffee and popcorn available at the lobby all day, pool was kept nice, everything was great. The staff were very friendly with my two toddler boys, always offering them crayons and coloring books. Overall good place, Couch is a little tired, but more than functional. I stay here even though it's about 12 miles outside of downtown. Roughly a $20 uber ride into the city. TV reception even in good weather is suspect, but definitely a value! read more

Stayed from 7/3/16 to 9/17/16-it was my home-it was awful. At check in there was mold on the bathroom ceiling, the exhaust fan did not work, and the bathroom light needed replacing. The light was fixed within the hour but it took a week before the ceiling fan was repaired and they got rid of the mold. The next day there was a flood in the kitchen as the garbage disposal backed up into the dishwasher. Took an hour to clean up the mess. This is a no smoking facility, but smokers don't fret as you have the run of the house and can smoke wherever you'd like. You can impede access to the hotel entrance and blow smoke to your heart's content. You can throw cigarette butts everywhere and you can overflow the garbage can ashtrays by the doors to guest rooms. You can congregate on the patio outside the hotel desk and turn it into a tobacco drug house. Guests have to walk through second hand smoke to enter the hotel. Even better, if you are the hotel assistant manager working the midnight shift, you can sneak out to the patio and light up so you cannot answer the telephone when yours truly calls from his cell phone because his key card doesn't work and has to walk to the front desk to get it reprogrammed. Outside garbage cans are overflowing and garbage on the ground makes it easier for the mice to dine and run away along the side of the building. Don't understand it, but smokers, you seem to have a need to wedge landscaping rocks under the security door to keep it open. Surprise, the door becomes misaligned and the security lock does not work. Took two weeks to repair the door. Vehicles are double-parked on the two-lane driveway in front of the hotel office resulting in traffic jams, but parking here makes it easy for employees working the hotel desk midnight shift. You don't have to even pretend to stop at property stop signs-no one else does. I asked housekeeping to clean my room once per week, instead of daily, and during my eleven week stay housekeeping cleaned my room five times. I received a new excuse each time, with my favorite being that there was a do not disturb sign on my door (NOT). When the room was cleaned, they did not vacuum the carpet, clean the kitchen floor or shower, replace towels, change the bed linen, or wipe down the bathroom mirror. The exercise room is small but functional. There are two treadmills, an elliptical with a broken television screen, and an old stair stepper. The supply of free weights is depleted because guests have borrowed them- permanantly. My favorite is the multi-station weight machine. There are four weight stations but only two pins to operate the weights and one of them is bent. It took several days before the pin was removed. I called Marriott Rewards to complain and after waiting some 45 minutes on hold I explained my litany of concerns to someone who told me they handle reservations and not complaints. What a waste of time. I eventually spoke with customer service and was assured that my complaint would be forwarded to hotel management. A couple of days later I was exercising and needed to remove a stuck weight pin and had the privilege of having the weight stack come crashing down on my wrist resulting in an abrasion and bruise. I chose to work through the irritation and began using the lat machine. The pin became dislodged, the weight stack went one way and yours truly fell off the seat and landed flat on my back. I went to the front desk to file an accident report and the employee told me that he was not trained on how to deal with accident reports. Later that morning I received a call from the hotel manager, who was profusely apologetic. He was now extremely concerned about my well-being. The four previous occasions I complained he gave me a great big Cheshire cat smile and apology and the problems continued. Now I have their attention-an hour later their insurance company called me as they were concerned that I might sue the hotel due to the defective weight machine and injuries. I politely informed them that I had no intention of going for medical care or contacting a lawyer. Had to check out at about 3:30 am to catch a flight and the front desk employee told me that he did not know how to print out a receipt. A couple of days later I called the front desk and requested the receipt be e-mailed to me-no go-more great customer service. After waiting several hours I had to contact Marriott customer service to secure the receipt. Respectfully, I am a Marriott Elite Rewards member and was treated like this. Even if you just check in for a one-night stay, a person should not be treated this way. Here's the icing on the cake. I called Marriott Customer service a second time and was told that the documentation from my initial complaint simply read, "internet issue - resolved." So much for integrity and character - Marriott, I think not. I don't have these problems with Hyatt and Hilton properties.] read more

Currently staying here now. I stay at the Staybridge and other similar long term hotels at least twice a year. This is the worst!!!!! My company selected this one because of the kitchen feature which is nice but many hotels of this type are available today. Dirty room from top to bottom, I have not and will not sit on the stain filled couch, mold on the ceilings. The building smells of mildew the second you walk in. At night parking near your room is difficult as they are very busy (not their fault on this one but be advised). They also seem to have their own proprietary TV system and the one in my room goes in and out I noticed it is not connected properly and just sort of rigged together, also I can not find a guide but of course the PPV channels are easy to access. The other hotels I stay at have systems designed for them as well but I never had a problem finding the TV guide. The breakfast they serve is similar to all the hotels but NOT stocked as well and always looks empty... It's easy to find similar hotels at similar rates that are MUCH MUCH cleaner. read more

Firstly, they let us check in early so we could wash up before the play. On the way there our gps failed so we arrived late and in a hurry. The sweetie that checked us in did so fast and SHE PRINTED out directions to the venue for us. Super nice gal and gent that helped us. Our room was clean and as we asked for it. the hotel was quiet, the area was quiet. The rooms are nice , we always had hot water and the pillows were plush. I liked (just a small thing) that I could come to the lobby and get free popcorn they had. Really hit the spot. Well stocked convenience items Oh, you can, or we could, open the windows in the rooms when it got stuffy. We will definitely be bck We spent one nite on 12/5/15 WE had a corner 2 bedroom, not sure if we used points or paid, after tax was about 130.00 but for a 2 bedroom and kitchen etc. good value. Again, the day staff was super nice. he nite lady was okay too, not much interaction with the nite staff. If you want a full hot breakfast ,use the kitchen in your room or go to one of the many restaurants in the area, I recommend Stir Crazy(but go on off hours, they canot handle it when it gets bizzy) Also, we like CAfe Manna but on this particular trip the food was dry and sub par even though its fine dining. the bean burger dry, the desert dry. We will stick with Beans and BArley in Milwaukee. We noticed not too many kids at this hotel. WHICH IS ALWAYS A GOOD THING, as families are usually inconsiderate with noise. not sure if this was by design or what, but we asked that no loud pple or kids be placed next to us and... it was quiet.
