Spent the night for a nearby event. Frieny front desk staff, Sebastián. They are cleaning more than usual because of an upcoming inspection. Pool was opened but hot tub was closed. Breakfast was good and I made a waffle. They offer to go breakfast for guests who needed to catch a flight. Overall, it was a good experience and will stay again.

The Hampton Inn Milwaukee - Airport is a great place to stay when visiting Milwaukee. The rooms are modern looking. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, if not crowded. The hotel staff were very helpful and wanted us to have a good stay. I would stay here again in the future. I highly recommend Hampton Inn Milwaukee - Airport!

An absolutely great stay!!! Was greeted immediately upon walking through the doors. Checkin was easy and quick. Staff throughout our stay was absolutely pleasant. Got us extra towels in a quick manner and took care of all of our needs pretty quickly. The only thing that I didn't like is that they took away the suites when they renovated. Beautiful hotel and ALL seating throughout the hotel were extremely comfortable. My butt melted each time I sat down! Clean sleeping rooms too. The area got hit pretty hard with an snow/rain mix and the manager was out trying to shovel the sidewalks. Bless his heart, I'm sure all that was extremely heavy to shovel. Overall an excellent stay, hate to have jetted out so fast, but the weather was terrible!

The worst Hilton hotel I have ever stayed. This was just ok hotel, not good, not great, JUST ok. Very dated and smelly room with popcorn ceiling (really? In2020). Toilet smells like urine. Bathroom floor has a lot of marks (probably urine). Wall controller for AC does not work. one thing was good - people at the reception are very nice.

From the moment I walked in, the lobby was overwhelmed with a heavy, Axe body spray-like scent--so strong it felt like walking through a middle school locker room. I assumed it was temporary and that my room would be a relief, but unfortunately, it was worse. The room smelled musty, like a house that hasn't been aired out in years. To make matters worse, the wallpaper was peeling off the walls, which is unacceptable for a hotel at this level. Beyond that, the overall cleanliness of the hotel was lacking. For a boutique property, I expected a much higher standard, but the space felt worn and not well-maintained. The bed was hard and uncomfortable, and the towels were rough--far from the soft, high-end feel you'd expect. The most concerning part of my stay, though, was waking up at 1:45 AM struggling to breathe. It genuinely felt like a reaction to something in the room--possibly mold or poor air quality. I initially thought I was getting sick, but after spending a few hours away the next day, I felt completely normal again, which makes it hard to ignore the room as the cause. If you have any respiratory sensitivities, be cautious. I contacted the front desk to explain the situation and was told checking out early without being charged for another night wouldn't be an issue. I even offered to return around noon so they could turn the room, but was told not to worry since they weren't sold out. When I returned later that day, there was no note, and the staff refused to honor what I had been told, citing the late checkout time. While I understand policies, the inconsistency and lack of follow-through were frustrating. I also dined at the hotel restaurant, which didn't help the experience. The food was overpriced for the quality--my salad was warm, fries were room temperature, and clearly sat out too long. Dessert was equally disappointing; the lemon tart was buried under an excessive amount of powdered sugar, making it unpleasant to eat. It's honestly a sad day when I transferred to a basic airport hotel--Hyatt Place Milwaukee Airport--and had a significantly better experience. The bed was more comfortable, the towels were actually soft, and even the shampoo and conditioner were noticeably better quality. On top of that, the Hyatt was spotless, which only made the lack of cleanliness at Iron Horse stand out even more. Overall, this stay fell far below expectations. Between the condition of the room, air quality concerns, cleanliness issues, and poor service recovery, I won't be returning.

They greeted me warmly, helped with my bags, and even brought them up to my room. Before my trip, I was honestly a little nervous because I'd heard so many stories about the hotel being haunted. Thankfully, I didn't experience anything unusual at all. It ended up being one of the best hotel stays I've had. I stayed on one of the upper floors, and the views were beautiful. Waking up to the sunrise and watching the sunset in the evening made the stay even more special. The staff checked in with me every day to make sure I had everything I needed and were always happy to offer recommendations. They even upgraded my room at no extra charge, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The rooms include complimentary coffee, tea, and bottled water, and I was impressed with how fast the elevators were. I never waited more than a couple of minutes. The location is another huge plus. It's right in the heart of downtown Milwaukee, and so many great restaurants, coffee shops, and attractions are within walking distance. If you don't have a car, it's incredibly easy to get around, and Uber rides are very affordable. One fun thing about staying here is that there's always a chance you'll run into someone well known. I was told that every U.S. president has stayed at the hotel, which adds to its rich history and charm. The people staying at the hotel were just as friendly as the staff, and I met so many wonderful people during my visit. If you stay here, make sure to go all the way to the top floor and check out Blu. The views alone are worth it. I truly loved my stay at The Pfister. If I'm back in Milwaukee, I would absolutely stay here again. Next time, I also want to treat myself to the spa and salon inside the hotel.

When we checked out we left our items at the bell desk and got our ticket we were headed to the brewers game. After the game there was no one at the desk and after about 10 mins of waiting another hotel person came to help us. I had to keep telling her we had more stuff, in the stress of waiting and having to tell her we had more items my husband's garment bag was left. It had his suit for the wedding we were going to. The whole reason for the trip. I was sent a link called " I left my stuff" which felt like a slap in the face, I didn't forget it, they did not return it. I had to pay $88 to overnight it. 6/5 it was shipped and I didn't receive it until Monday 6/8 at 10 am. So on top of the $88 we were out we had to go to a suit shop in town and spend $630 for another suit. This definitely was such a big stress of our trip.

YOU MAY NOT GET THE ROOM YOU PICKED OUT ON THE APP Be cautious that if you book a room on the app before arriving, they might try to put you in a different (worse/noisier) room when you get there, telling you the 'view' is better. This happened to us and I overheard it happening to someone else checking in. The room they chose to put us in was facing the street and extremely noisy. (Not worth the so called 'view'). After unpacking and getting ready for bed and trying to bear it, we decided to ask to switch rooms (to the room we'd originally booked on the app!) We packed up and moved to a room facing the alley, although it still had *some* street noise, it was much better. I think they try to put you in the 'unsellable' rooms in hopes that you'll stick with it. We still had to wear ear plugs and run the A/C at night to drown out some street noise. You might argue that any downtown hotel would have have street noise, but I don't think this older hotel has very good insulation. Read on for the PROS AND CONS... PROS ~Friendly, accommodating staff, really can't fault them. Kathy in the breakfast room is especially friendly. ~Decent location, walkable to the airport bus stop, Avis, Harley Davidson Museum, River Walk, Pabst Mansion. Most attractions were a 15-20 minute walk. For sights further by the lake (i.e. Milwaukee Art Museum), we took a ride share. It would have been more convenient to be closer to the waterfront, but this is reflected in the price. (Which I thought was still expensive!) ~They gave us some drink vouchers to use in the bar as we were celebrating an occasion. That was a nice touch and we enjoyed the atmosphere in the bar and the friendly bar tender. ~Clean. ~Daily housekeeping service. ~We paid for the breakfast buffet as part of our tariff, which was in a dining room with a buffet all but one day (a Monday) when they had us pick off the menu as there weren't enough people to warrant a buffet. Despite the buffet, waitstaff serve your drinks, so factor tip into the price. Try to get a table with Kathy serving you. ~Standard room amenities like iron/board, safe, decent shower, pump toiletries, large TV, mini fridge. ~Three elevators that always came quickly. CONS ~Noisy, especially if your room faces the main road. A lot of noisy motorbikes, sirens, people blaring music. The hotel can't help this, but it didn't seem like the windows were insulated very well, perhaps due to the fact it's an older hotel that's been renovated. I would not recommend staying here on this factor alone. ~Small bathroom. We like to both be in the bathroom getting ready in the morning -- one shaving while the other is putting on make-up, etc. The bathroom was definitely tight. ~When we checked into the first room they put us in (we later switched rooms), the A/C was soooo cold. We couldn't adjust it, so they sent a technician out to fix it. ~When we switched to a different room, the TV didn't work, so a technician was sent out to fix it the next day. ~Older hotel that's been renovated -- you can tell by the popcorn ceilings. ~No pool. ~Still quite expensive for the location/noisy rooms. ~Breakfast is not completely self serve, so tipping is expected. (They take you to a table, take your drink order and serve your drinks). ~Decor has been updated at some point, but is still a little dated. Helpful?

Location, location, location! The hotel is built within a remodeled mansion and has the basic amenities you want in a hotel - AC, WiFi, modern bathrooms, plenty of outlets - while still maintaining its unique charm. I wish there were more surfaces in our hotel for storing my toiletries in the bathroom, a place to set things in the room (aside from the floor), a desk. This may be unique to our room, all the rooms at the hotel are different. Not an inconvenience, more a note to ownership for an easy usability upgrade. We had an issue with our automatic lock keypad at midnight after walking home from the festival. We texted the number and someone responded right away. There is not a front desk here so quick response to offsite staff is critical. The hotel contact was friendly and drove to us in 15 minutes to resolve the issue. Tips if you stay here - a) get pre-reservations at Agency cocktail bar set inside the hotel if you're into libations (including non alcoholic). It's a small space and super fun time, they book up quickly! b) when they offer you a dedicated parking space right outside the hotel for an additional fee, take it. We found this so convenient to have our car in the same spot for the full stay I enjoyed the stay here and would happily stay here again, particularly with any planned downtown activities.

At checkout, Rosa said she would talk to the owner and adjust my bill. I thought.... great! Weeks go by and like 20 texts, still no credit. I called and talked to the owner. I still had no credit, having checked my credit card daily. Finally, almost a month goes by and I email the owner and say, I never got the credit. No surprise to me, the call did not come, so here is the written review; When we arrived Sunday the 19th, it took the receptionist almost 30 minutes to get us our room. She could not find the room for the couple ahead of us in line. Eventually they stepped aside and allowed us to get our key. She had no idea what she was doing, told us she was new, and no one was around to help her. When we arrived at our room, although we booked a queen, it was a full sized bed. There was a dirty band-aid on the nightstand. Unfortunately since my husband and I were in the service industry for over a decade combined, we often give people the benefit of the doubt and ample opportunities to make things right. The TV was very small and only cable, which often cut to "no service" before reviving itself. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal. My husband bought the Brewhouse Gameday Package because it was our honeymoon. Again, the blonde girl at the front desk had no idea what was happening, no idea what the listing for the package was on the website, and no information. She directed us to the employees of On Tap, who stated "well this just looks like a screenshot from our website" ...which it was. We paid for the package, the receptionist knew nothing of it, and the staff at On Tap knew nothing about why the receptionist knew nothing. Over and over, excuses were made because "she's really new here". We were eventually given our 2 free drinks and our $40 comp for the restaurant, probably just because we wouldn't let it go. Come the end of the Brewers game, we wait where we were directed to. No shuttle comes. My husband calls the hotel, and they say they just made their last run and will not be coming back for us. Again, the brand new, know-nothing receptionist. We were specifically told by the shuttle driver that he would make runs for up to an hour after the game, or until everyone was collected. We took the shuttle there; he knew we were supposed to be on the one back to the hotel as well. Overall, it is pretty gross business to advertise so falsely and to do nothing to rectify unacceptable failures when your guests repeatedly come to you with needs. Had this been a $150 hotel, I wouldn't be writing this. I would chalk it up to "you get what you pay for" but to pay $1000 for 2 nights + the Gameday Package that let us down in almost every direction? I am honestly shocked. The morning of our check-out, we explained to a more veteraned pair of receptionists everything that had disappointed us and let us down during our stay. We were told the hotel manager was on a call; they took down my husband's name and phone number and said he would be called in a couple of days, and apologized. Finally, someone seemed to at least pretend to care. Anyway, to the hotel manager, Christopher - seriously? What could possibly be the excuse? Train your staff. At least a little. Is this just so commonplace at the Brewhouse Inn you just don't bother calling to make things right? Our friends and family will know each and every detail of our frustrating, lame stay at the Brewhouse Inn, I can tell you that much. I hope business for the rest of the season is what you deserve it to be.
