Hotels can be expensive. That's why I stayed here. After doing my research on Yelp (of course!), I found an affordable spot to crash on a recent road-trip. Not a huge place, but clean and quiet enough. I was given a room in the corner on the first floor. It had a small refrigerator which I was not expecting along with a microwave I was pleasantly surprised. A small air conditioning unit in the room helped with the oppressive heat outside. I was also able to park my car immediately outside my room which helped me feel safe. Still, I slept on top of the bed covers and used my own pillow. Service was friendly and I was given a token for a free coffee and salad bar trip at a nearby restaurant The Hi-lo. Went from one hell hole to the next ( Weed Motel 6 the first one ) the lady greeted me with a inhospitable attitude. Convince her I wasn't from Weed Motel 6 ( white lie ) got a room, television wasn't working, no hot water, heater was so loud made sleeping impossible. Was waiting for Lyft, the lady told me I couldn't stay on the premises wait on the sidewalk! For someone following Buddhism her attitude doesn't reflex the teachings! She has a problem with people of color! No problem with the color of money! Stay here at your own discretion. read more

We booked this place and spent over $100 and got there and everything was frozen and unusable. The woman refused to give our money back and we spent the night in a freezing cold room with the heater blasting. The water never came on because the main was broken. Wouldn't you at least refund someone half the money? read more

The front desk person was friendly, we stayed in a room on the lower level, the rooms fragrance was WAY. to STRONG!! It burned my nose. The AC unit in the room did not work properly and was so clunky and loud that it woke everyone up every time it clicked on, there were spots all over the blanket (thankfully we brought our own) and the refrigerator was broken. I got maybe 3 hrs of sleep for $100 and had to drive 6 hours the next day, do not recommend this place if you value comfort. read more

Stayed here for a night and I guess you could say you get what you paid for. The room was spacious enough and had everything you would expect a motel room to accommodate for. However, the AC unit was too loud to sleep through and there was mold on the wall next to the bed so I wouldn't rate cleanliness too high. Location is okay, not bad not great. Great little motel. Not big or fancy (parking is somewhat tight), but the owners were extremely kind, and the room was clean and peaceful. Location was ideal for my travels. Unless you're desperate, don't stay here! Bed was dirty and uncomfortable. We stayed upstairs and it was quiet.

It was ok. I'm seeing a bunch of reviews raving at how clean it was--it was certainly reasonably clean, but there were just enough stray ( seemingly not from the head) hairs on the bed/towels/bathroom floor to make me question the true cleanliness. I wonder what other places these ppl are staying! Also it didn't smell bad but it did smell...old. Very old. Everything was functional but it's all been... well loved for many many many years...bed felt springy and almost hollow if that makes sense. Most noteable thing was how rough the sheets were. Literally the worst I've felt in my life. Bring your own sheets or blankie. AC cooled the room down right away, staff was so so nice, it was pretty quiet, I inspected all the bedding layers and didn't see any signs of anything concerning. Felt safe, staff was very nice, seems to be a small family run operation. read more

Free clif bars & goodie bag at check-in, clean room, remodeled bathroom, and amazing service. Last-minute call and he only charged me $49. The owner/operator is awesome. I would have paid ten times that much for the situation I was in, but he didnt feel the need to rip me off and earned my business for life. The owner even let me borrow his pad lock so my moving truck would be safe down the street (wasn't planning on staying in Weed but the snow is really coming down) We often drive from Seattle to Southern California. This was the worse motel I have ever stayed in. Very cold, dusty and towels smelled moldy. Poor air circulation that blew in dusty hot air. People above us were up all night and very loud. Will never stay here again. read more

Checked in to this Motel at about 9 pm on a COLD night. Paid $80 for an upstairs room and took our bags up. It was probably 34 degrees outside and it was maybe 36 degrees inside the room. I was already suffering from a cold and this wasn't going to help. Turned the heater unit on, it was located high up on the rear wall because everyone knows heat RISES! Turned the heat on high, put on our sweats and grabbed the blankets from BOTH beds and tried to get warm. By about 3 in the morning the room had warmed up. The heater was actually on a thermostat so it didn't even run constantly, it just turned on intermittently. Why couldn't the owners have left the heat on with it being so cold outside? No idea. Will NEVER pay to stay there again. Making a note to always check out the room before paying from now on. read more

My Dad has a vacation home in Weed, where he grew up. The whole family was up from the Bay Area for our biannual family reunion camping trip. We usually stay at the cabin after camping but this year, there wasn't enough space for all of us. We decided to book a couple of rooms for a night before heading south again. The Townhouse is a very short drive from my Dad's so was the perfect place to spend the night. From check-in to check-out, everything was great. The desk clerk was having internet issues, but was so friendly and patient and needlessly apologetic. We had a spacious room on the first floor and it was spotless. The bed was very comfortable. Even though the building is right below I-5, it was very quiet. We will definitely book again if the need arises! read more

This place is inexpensive (70/night for 2 people with 2 beds), clean, and very conveniently located. I often stay here on the way down to or back from the Bay Area, and have never had any complaints. While my husband and I were house hunting, we stayed here. All I can say is, we both love the place. The owner is the most kind and gracious person you will ever meet. The room was clean, and the price was fantastic. We were supposed to stay a week, but instead, cut our trip short since we did what needed to be done so there was no use in being there any longer. Even though I offered to pay for the extra days that we weren't going to use, the owner insisted that he charge me only for the days we stayed. Incredible. It is wonderful to find a place like this in a world so full of greed. We will most certainly be staying here again, and we'll surely recommend our friends to this place as well. read more

This motel would have been much better if the heating unit hadn't been a factor. Because it was placed up near the ceiling, it made the room simultaneously too hot (for our heads and upper bodies) and too cold (for our feet and legs) If it wasn't turned on full blast, it did nothing to counter the cold air coming in from the not-really-insulated walls. It cycled on and off all night, making restful sleep difficult. Speaking of sleep, the beds were hard. (Not firm. Hard.) And they each had one fleece blanket and thin quilted bedspread, which were not nearly warm enough. If there had been extra blankets, or warmer ones, I could have turned off the noisy, annoying heater. The two double beds were crammed into the L shaped room, leaving a very narrow space to access the bathroom, mirror and coffee maker. Now for some good features. The coffee maker was a regular 4-cup machine, good for people who bring their own coffee. The bathtub and sink looked brand new: the shower worked beautifully, with great water pressure and lots of hot water. However, there was no heat specifically for the bathroom, the floor was ice cold, and the only ventilation was a window. (Did I mention it was extremely cold outside?) The toiletries consisted of four sizes of the same generic soap, and a bottle of "conditioning shampoo." Other things: the TV was fine, but hard to see from one bed because of the L shaped room: didn't use the refrigerator and microwave: the gentleman at the front desk was polite and checked us in quickly, but when we checked out at 8:30 AM- not an unusual time to check out- the lobby door was locked. Breakfast was not included. Overall, not a good value for $80. read more

We stayed in this motel while visiting Mt. Shasta in Dec 2013. It is a clean, affordable, and safe place to spend a night or two. Nothing fancy but well worth the 60/night for a room. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean and there were lots of parking spaces available. The owner was quite friendly and suggested us some places to check out in the nearby area. I got a room here last minute after a bad experience at the quality inn at weed. The man at the front desk was very nice and professional. He gave us a room that was clean and smelled pleasant. My 2 bed room was basically two small bedrooms attached to each other, with a door separating them. It gave me and my friend our privacy while still paying for one room. On top of that, the shower pressure what prefect which is not really found in many hotels. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and I will definitely be coming back here again. read more

Most uncomfortable bed I've ever had in a motel, rooms walls are stained and smelled musty. Hair grease spots on the headboard upon check in. Toilet moves back and forth when you sit on it. My girlfriend and I decided to stop off in Weed for a nights rest on our way to Bend from San Diego. We made a reservation at the Motel 6 but our "nonsmoking room" wasn't really "nonsmoking" so we cancelled and found a room at Townhouse. The room was wayyy cleaner and didn't smell like an ash tray. It seemed the bathroom was recently redone and it was immaculate. The Wi-Fi was free, they had HD tvs with sufficient channels to veg out to, and they also had a mini fridge. The price of the room was very reasonable and, last but not least, the guy at the front desk was very friendly. Only complaint/suggestion is that they should replace their old microwaves. They flicker and hum like they're about to explode. read more

I regularly drive between Southern California and the Seattle area. Always get a great night's rest - quiet despite being just off the main road into town. Convenient spot for breakfast nearby. An absolute highlight is just how clean and well maintained the Townhouse Motel is - a great find whether you're a looking for a convenient stop while traveling or there to explore the Mt. Shasta area. Nice size fridge, microwave and coffeemaker, excellent wi-fi, dresser (but no closet), tasteful updated decor and fixtures all work great - highlighted by spotlessly clean/fresh rooms. Rooms are a bit smaller than some of the chains, but if you're there to get some good rest you found the right place. read more

I was recently in a motorcycle accident and I'm headed back to Washington to recover. My mother and I needed a place to rest for the night and after checking all the hotel's in the local area this place was by far the cheapest, cleanest and best customer service anyone could ever ask for. Nick went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The location is right off the freeway and is in walking distance to many store's and gifts shops. If you are staying in weed this is by far the best bang for your buck ! Happy travels :) read more

The place looks a little shabby on the outside and it is! The hand rail at the bottom of the stairs is unsafe and the stairs are crooked. The door is locked with a dead f bolt and handle lock only. There is no extra lock or slide luck or chain. The sheets are pink. The only saving grace is the room is clean. I could tell by the bleach stains on the pink sheets. We stayed one night at this motel. King size, non-smoking. The room wasn't the cleanest I've ever seen but definitely clean enough to be comfortable. The sheets were nice and soft. I didn't love the towels, they were too thin, but at least they were soft. The shower was good. Nice and hot and good water pressure. We also took advantage of the mini fridge. There's no clock in the room, which I thought was weird, so I had to look at my phone for the time. This place was cheaper than the comfort inn by about $20 for a similar room. The continental breakfast was coffee and prepackaged danishes. We went to the Hi-Lo cafe across the street. Overall a great place to stay if you're on a budget. Hotel owner was pleasant and accommodating. The location is great and the price is right. I didn't get a goodie bag, nor clif bars, but the owner did let me use a hair dryer. The rooms are really small and there is no place to hang clothes. Okay for an overnighter...probably not a place I would stay for a length of time. The bathroom, however, is lovely! read more
