Surprisingly quiet, wonderful views, one block away from a Giant grocery store and right next to a starbucks. Freeway close and very simple to get to, plenty of parking, clean room with traditional style Furnishings but in very decent shape! They even had a breakfast in the morning with several choices laid out on the table things like muffins some fresh fruit coffee tea cereal toast and other simple breakfast choices included with the room. The only reason I didn't do five stars is because there wasn't an elevator and there were only stairs but the place was clean warm and dry and really good for a motel but I don't think any Motel would really have a five-star rating but if I were to think in the world of motels this perhaps should have five stars except for the missing elevator. Also the pool or jacuzzi was under repair and I think it was a room filled with tools Etc so that was really too bad but once that's working it'll be even a better place to be at!! read more

We slept well, the room was expensive but it was Memorial Day weekend. We were camping and needed showers and good rest. The problem was a used condom on carpet and a fridge with old food in it. The staff was nice. The room was dated with stains on floor and mattresses. Furniture has sharp metal coming out from padding on arm rest. But we slept well. No Frills, But A Decent Value If Traveling Through Weed PROS The motel was close to the interstate and restaurants, the room was clean, and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was included and served from 7-9am, but we arrived minutes late, yet the manager/owner was kind enough to provide us with coffee. The internet/Wi-Fi was decent and relatively fast. The price was right at just a little over $60, including tax. CONS The manager came to the door in a bathrobe when I rang the doorbell a little after 10pm. The motel is quite dated and could use a renovation and the TV channels had so much static that it was useless to watch TV. Breakfast could be served until 10am, considering the fact that it is a continental breakfast which takes little oversight once set-up. There was a door that said "Spa" on it, but the sign said "Out of Order" and you could clearly see through the window that it is nothing more than a storage room stuffed to the rafters. It's really more like Sis-EW-Inn. Let me start off by saying the lady guaranteed "all of the rooms are very clean." Apparently, that means there are moldy lemons in the fridge, trash under every thing, and left over grapes under the pillows! We also found bloody floss on the floor (no, I'm not British just someone with gingivitis was here before us). When we physically brought the evidence to the woman at the front desk, she seemed confused with our disgust! She literally said "These are lemons" they were so moldy she had to confirm they were lemons which says to ME that she legit thought that room was clean!!! We were so grossed out we slept above the blankets with our shoes on and hoods pulled up so no mysterious stains touched us. Some other fun facts about this nightmare fueled motel is in room 211 (we stayed in) the TV remote controls the AC, the cable is fuzzy cause we're pretty sure its stolen, the walls are covered with puzzles that are missing just ONE piece, it smells of curry and farts, there are stains on everything, you have this weird feeling someone has been brutally murdered there, there's hand print marks on the wall, and the towels will be moist! But hey the liar, I mean lady, at the front desk promises the room will be very clean. I don't know why this place has any ratings above 1 star, since this place had the audacity to charge $106/night at what is very clearly a lot lizard motel. I should have just slept in my car but after 24hrs of driving a bed sounded nice, that was until I saw it! 0/10 would only recommend to my worst enemies. read more

This place was absolutely horrible. We got to the inn around 12:30 in the morning. When we checked in we went right to bed. In the morning, we woke up to find stains on the sheets that were there before we had even checked in and a used razor and used bar of soap. There was also long hair on the shower walls and (what looked like) pubic hair on the bathtub rim. I brought my concerns up to the owner and I was greeted with sass and blame. She said that we should have contacted her as soon as we noticed something, which I did. She said that she has never had a problem in one year. I pulled in to this area to stop at the starbucks and walk my dog for a minute to stretch our legs during a long drive. This place looked super cute, so I walked over to check it out as a possible spot to spend the night on our drive back the next day. Before I even had a chance to go in, this super mean and rude lady opened the window and asked if I was a guest. I told her I was thinking about it, and might like to book a room for tomorrow night. She basically yelled at me that I have to leave because of the dog (who is a super well behaved lazy beagle mix, was leashed, and literally not doing anything other than standing very quietly by my side outdoors). So I asked again to clarify if I could not book a room because of the dog, and she just waved me away. It was so rude! Now, I did not look like a bum, I was well dressed, driving a nice late model car, profession looking... I've never seen anything like this in the hospitality business. Traveled to Weed to visit a girlfriend and stay for her baby shower. I wanted to travel with my dog, as I searched the web I found this place. Good price and it seemed cute from the pictures, they also only charged $10 a night for my pup (other places I've stayed have charged closer to $25!). I stayed 5 nights. Upon checking, which by the way check in is at 1:00 most other places it's at 3:00 that was nice, the gal gave me the room key (yes they still use actually keys) and I headed to my room. The marketing person deserves a bonus. The bathrooms looked like they had recently been updated, the carpet not so much, in some places it sounded like plastic bags were under the carpet. The room itself was comfortable and out my window I had a great view of the mountain. The motel is literally right off the freeway and located pretty much in a huge truck stop. There are a few fast food places and a big Pilot. Semi's were right out front with their engines on a lot. When the windows were closed it shut out most of the noise that was great. The heater in the room worked very well. I will say for being a pet friendly hotel they didn't have a good dog area. Out front in the grassy area they had signs saying the area was not for pets and behind the hotel there was this little tiny area of weeds marked dog area. We booked our room thru Travelocity. So, trusting this credible service we thought all was well. We pulled up and were horrified! The outside looks like a crack house, nothing like the pictures! We spoke with the lady at the front desk and asked her if we could see the rooms first. I was appalled at the squalor and dirtiness! We spent 1 minute in the room and I was physically ill. I immediately called Travelocity and demanded my reservation be canceled. I was furious! Do not go here! Sleep in your car if you must! Called 24 hours to reserve and received a 'screen print' confirmation - no e-mail confirmation. When we showed up, the matron conveniently said she didnt have a reservation under our name. The room charge was $60 higher than the confirmed internet price. Ridiculous price: $130 for a dirty room. Do yourself a favor and bypass Weed for Shasta City. The tile floors were dirty with hair stuck to it. There were semi- trucks with engines running all night. The Sis-Q was decrepit, chipped paint on exterior and extensive stains on the common hallway rug. The TV and its operation were subpar with no channel or in-room guide. None of the appliances were running when we entered and the room was hot and smoky from the ongoing area fires due to housekeeping leaving the windows open. Cute...but if you want to sleep, you will have to request an upstairs room, which will only be 'cute' until a semi pulls up to the curb in front of the motel and turns it's refrigerators on all night. It was nearly 12 pm on night 1 of my pre-paid 2 day stay and they checked people into a room AT MIDNIGHT, right ABOVE me (and the place was Not full)...teenager (1), dogs (2), and 2 inconsiderate adults that are dragging luggage across the tile floor...and they were up at 5am. After those people left, I approached the owner about my experience. She was generous enough to give me an upstairs room that had a nice view Mt Shasta, which was wonderful until the refrigerated semi pulled up out front, destroying any chance of a peaceful afternoon..my advice: don't stay anywhere near truck stops if you expect to get sleep or are looking for a peaceful experience. I'm giving the property 3 stars, NOT the experience. They get an A for effort, but never again would I stay in Truck Village. That description is no exaggeration. *when I drove into Mt Shasta for a day, I found several accommodations that were not much more than what I paid to stay here. Old and outdated I'll start with our experience first when checking in they said they didn't have my reservation after her checking several times she found it had wrong name and credit card. But at least we had a room! The town was sold out. When we walked inside to find our room there were strange bugs and roaches walking the hallways Once in our room out dated furniture , bedding, and TV. When I thought it couldn't get any worst it got way worst. I went to take a shower and noticed towel had yellow stains! Disgusting! Then pull bAck bedding sheets had stains on then. We called trying to find another hotel no luck! Everyone was booked. We were stuck. We slept on top of bed. In fear all night. I don't recommend this place at all. Was looking for a fair and reasonably priced room for two on Father's Day weekend in Mount Shasta area. This did the trick! Clean, well maintained room and continental breakfast served in the AM. Stayed here two nights and it felt very "homey." The lady at check in was warm and friendly. Breakfast is only until 9:30 (it is posted, so good to double check). It consisted of hard boiled eggs (the first day) and bananas (the second day); cold cereal, multiple kinds of pastries such as bear claw, raisin roll, cinnamon roll, and several kinds of bread and jelly and jams for toast. Two kinds of bagels as well. The whole grain bread was delicious! The front looks like an older home and is very quaint with a beautiful view of Mount Shasta. It's even better with a short walk down to the end of the adjacent street. I noticed that they might be a bi-lingual motel, that may be a plus for some if you speak Spanish (si Hablo espanol!). read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this little inn that's nestled among the better known chain hotels in the area. It's close to a couple of fast food and local restaurants, and gas stations with swifty access to Interstate-5 whether you want to go a few exits south to Mt Shasta city or north to downtown Weed for a brief town visit. The family-run motel staff were courteous and responsive to requests (e.g., room with view, wifi reset, additional bar soaps). The premise and room were clean and odorless, and not an eye-sore as I had expected some motels to be. On check-in, the owner alerted me that the mattress and towels were new -- instantaneous bonus points. The bathroom, the bathtub especially, looked impressively clean (cleaner than my bathtub at home which I share with 2 roommates). The showerhead and water temperature worked without any struggles. Due to a personal change of schedule, I had to cancel the 3rd night of my stay -- which was approached with understanding and friendliness by the lady owner. Need I say more. The motel exceeded my expectations on all fronts, I have no reservations in staying here again or recommending it to acquaintances (we are among friends too....you and I) for accommodation needs with affordability in mind. Very nice, simple place to stay in Weed. We arrived late at night to a clean room, good water pressure in the shower. Pet friendly for only $10 extra. Beautiful flower garden in front and planters with annuals. Simple complimentary breakfast in the lobby: bagels with cream cheese, pb and j, hard boiled eggs, coffee, tea, oj and corn flakes or fruit loops. Not fancy, but clean and decent. We arrived very late during a snow storm. The woman at the front desk was very kind to us and the room was warm when we got in. We were supposed to catch a 3am greyhound bus and left the hotel room early that morning. Our bus was delayed and when we went back to see if we could get into out room she was understanding and let us back in (at this point its 4 in the morning) with no problem. This motel is very dated, the beds were terribly uncomfortable with equally uncomfortable pillows. The coffee pot was dirty, with used tea bags in the strainer. The walls are stained and the cocking in the bathroom needs to be replaced. Was very disappointed, as most of the reviews on the booking app said the beds were comfortable. Also, my reservation for 2 nights was 128, yet the lady charged me 158, saying the room was $70 a night. I didn't argue, because I was tired and was looking forward to relaxing. Unfortunately... Traveling with kids and thought we'd stay here to "save" $30 a night. Never again. Upon check in I was asked if I wanted room service ? Told the woman checking me in, no, we don't. We don't need our rooms cleaned at all, we would make our beds and exchange towels. Next morning we are awoke at 8:30, room service. No! We have a 3 night stay and the room was dirty to begin with, but WE cleaned before going to bed. We just want new towels. We left for the day, leaving AC at 68 and come back to it being shut off. The following morning we awoke early left AC again at 68 asked for no room service and came back to AC off, possessions moved, a new pair of Keens stolen, someone rifled through personal luggage taking medication. Honestly if they were going to make the room look like it had been cleaned? They could have at least left clean towels, put fresh sheets on the beds. But instead they are busy taking things that don't belong to them. This place isn't fancy, but we WERE happy to look past that. We were happy to look past the cheap puzzles turned into wall art (they don't fit the picture frames). We were happy to give a family business instead of a franchise. BUT then, it was buzzzzzkill, with the I gotta wake you up at O-dark30 to see if you want room service you specifically said you DID NOT want! Or the week old breakfast that you can't digest and even your kids refuse. Kids refuse..and they eat anything. And to top off everything? You come back to find STOLEN Keen shoes and medication.
