Great location and a friendly staff. Excellent steak subs, fresh delicious great salads. The cheese pizza had fresh flavorful dough and an excellent cheese blend. Cooked perfectly. Very little to no sauce, hopefully it was just a misstep on this visit. French fries were quality cut, served hot and crispy. Not a lot in a $5 small, next time I will go large. A little disappointing. Didn't live up to the positive reviews. By no means was it bad, but it didn't live up to what I was expecting and maybe that's on me. Also, I ordered spinach pie, which was mostly cooked pizza dough with very little spinach sprinkled in it, need much more spinach to make it a true spinach pie. This is going to be my new pizza place for the Riverside area!! So I have debating to order from Townies for a while now and decided today was the day to give them a try. I placed my order from yelp and the order was delivered early with my surprise. I ordered a small onion ring, buffalo chicken tenders and a large well done pepperoni, black olive and mushroom pizza and with that said let's break down the review. Onion rings- huge small order, lightly battered, very crispy, big onions, just needed salt. Very happy. Buffalo chicken tenders- spicy,moist,real chicken tenders, I would say they seem to have a tint of honey taste at the end. Solid tenders! Pizza- Holy CHEESE Batman!!!! I wish it was a little lighter on the cheese but I love CHEESE so I was happy. All the toppings were generous and the pizza was NOT greasy at all. It was very tasty. The crust was good too. I just wish the pizza was a little hotter"probably due to being delivered not in a pizza bag. O and the surprise doughboy treat they snuck in my order were #awesome!! Just went to townies for a steak sandwich New Year's Eve and once again the steak mushrooms and onions was hot cooked perfect and the amount in sandwich was excellent. My go to spot for food when I'm stuck at my office! Everything on the menu is good, and the food is fresh, so much better than fast food. They have a thanksgiving sub that is delish! A review worth reading! So, I'm driving home from RI to Taunton per usual at least two times a week. Hungry, not hungry. I see Townies (Great name and signage, looks new). Great, let's try something new! Soooo happy I did! I proceeded to by a gyro (one of those dishes that could easily go wrong). I also grabbed a small fry. So, in a rush, I took my first bite of the gyro in the car and could not have been more surprised! Holy shizzle!!! Awesome, delicious, boss, lit, you pick it, this gyro was it!!! When I took that first bite, I thought I was just going to eat it (not recommended) and drive home. Nope, straight to the face! As a super foodie, I have been to at least a thousand greek restaurants all over and this was, by far, the best gyro!!! The tzatziki is so much better than any restaurant in Cambridge or Boston or that I have ever had, ever!!! The pork was fresh from the vertical broiler and, yes, they did put in these wonderful, thin sliced hand cut fries, that just gave you that perfect crunch!!! Culinary Magic!!! I went back in for another one! I couldn't resist! I also NEEDED, yes NEEDED, some more of that tzatziki and they were happy to oblige! I seriously would have been upset if I could not have more! Do not order a cheeseburger grinder from here. I'm sorry to give such a low rating but I feel the more than 4 stars they have attained is a little too high. I was happy with the couple different things I ordered in the past and would give it 4 but not 5 stars to be fair. I usually don't crave a decent burger that much but did at the time, and figured I would give them a shot with a Cheeseburger grinder although I had a feeling about it since it doesn't seem to be one of the main things they make on the menu. On a menu online it said it came with grilled patties, melted cheese and mushrooms and figured I could add whatever to this, the person on the phone couldn't be heard well and wasn't competent. When I got it there were no mushrooms and there was practically no cheese on it, barely a trace of mozzarella or something when it would be obvious to use more American cheese. The beef patties were some of the worst I've tasted having that weird cheap flavor if you know what I mean. They grilled the onions when I wanted fresh to make the lettuce tomato and pickles on it a gross sludge. This was the first time I had to waste money and throw out fresh food. read more

I just picked up a Greek salad with Chicken from Townies and it was outstanding. I wish I took a photo of it but I couldn't wait to dig in. For $8.50 you get a giant delicious and pretty authentic Greek salad. They go heavy on the chicken and feta which is my favorite. All the veggies were super fresh and crisp and then dressing was a simple EVOO with some spices.
