    Pork Ribs
    Marc K.

This was NOT written by AI! The food here was scrumptious, stupendous and stellar--buckle up for a review or reviews. First of all, we thought that the brisket was probably one of the best briskets ever. The bark was thick. It was like a 16th of an inch, maybe a 32nd of an inch bar and there was a prominent smoke ring. The bark was seasoned just perfectly and the smoke flavor--combined--the flavor was on load from God. You did not need any sauce to augment the flavor, but the spicy BBQ sauce was delicious too with pleasant gustatory resonating notes of onion. The chicken--well, that's always a challenge for both home cooks and restaurant chefs--dry white parts is as old is the day is long. If you want some cooking tricks, send me a message on Yelp and I can clue you in. Here though--they nailed it. The skin was crispy, seasoned perfectly, and toothsome but the star of the show was clearly the meat itself, and it was very very moist, a nice hint of smoky flavor and very flavorful. The ribs were also delicious--like the brisket--no sauce needed...prominent smoke ring, moist and tender. The were not fall off the bone but this neither detracted from the taste nor flavor, nor experience. In some ways it made it easier to eat. I could not tell if they left the underside membrane on--but if they did, that would be ok, and to the extent if helped with give the ribs structure--hallelujah. The ribs were so good, I was tempted to bring some home and nurse their consumption over a few days. The French fries were ok--- average, but pleasantly crisp. If I had a recommendation it would be to offer baked potatoes and then charge extra for stuffing it with brisket, pulled chicken, pulled pork, or just plain.

Moist brisket here is probably the best on the island. There's nothing that doesn't hit the spot on this menu. There's TL burger is perfect. Can't get enough of this place!

I ordered a half pound of barbecue chicken and this is what I got.

I ordered a half a pound of barbecue chicken TO GO and nowhere on the menu does it say that it is served on two slices of bread. I would like it to be in a to go container. You should list how the food comes. If I wanted my barbecue on bread, I would've asked for that, and if it comes on bread, you need to tell people on the menu. Yes I know that there is a clause at the bottom that says if you have food allergies to let the kitchen know, at the same time you need to let your patrons know how the food is served. I spoke with an employee with attitude and to be honest, I am very, very disappointed. He mentioned that he could talk to the owner about it, and I think that the owner should definitely become aware of this major flaw.

My home away from home. This place is amazing. Brian was behind the bar today. He is an OG like Ryan. He really knows how to treat his customers. If you are chill and down to earth, this is the place for you. The ribs with the homemade BBQ sauce is amazing! The ambiance here is very relaxing and southern. I love this place and highly recommend this spot to all my followers.

I have been coming here for years. The pickle juice shots are the best that I have ever had provided that they are made from dill pickles. There are two flavored pickled shots. The first one is sweet, and the second one tastes salty yet sour. The bartender explained that the "salty yet sour" one is the one that is made from dill pickles, so I must be sure to ask for that. I always sit at the bar. My go-to order are the dry-rub wings. The dry rub is so good that I buy a to-go container of it for $10 to prepare my chicken, fish, and vegetables at home. The bar tenders are friendly and provide outstanding service. The customers are so down to earth, you would never know that you are in The Hamptons. If you are willing to make the drive out East to try great BBQ in a casual atmosphere, then come to Townline BBQ.

Years years later and this place still rocks it! The food is delish! My husband brought me here back in the day when we were dating, we came again when we got engaged and now 12 years of marriage and 3 kids later, we love bringing our kids here. The service is fast and friendly. We were welcomed with warm smile. Great food, great service!! Tables and floors were spotless!

Townline BBQ in Sagaponick, NY After spending over a week on the beach in Southampton, eating fresh seafood and lobster rolls in neighboring restaurants, I was ready for some Comforting BBQ meat. So I introduce you to Townline BBQ. Whether your preference for barbecue originated in Memphis, Kansas City, St. Louis, or Texas hill country, it's likely that you have one -- and allegiances are strong when it comes to the types of food that we have allowed ourselves to fall in love with. The nice thing about making barbecue outside of any one place dedicated to the stuff is that there is still great creative latitude. In the northeast, removed from tradition, we can create restaurants that highlight the best of everything. For Townline, that means St. Louis-style ribs (a sparerib cut with no breastbone) next to South Carolinian hush puppies next to California chili. The result? A menu that feels both cohesive and expansive, that neatly incorporates competing regional foods and urges them to agree with one another. In one broad sense, Townline BBQ feels completely at home in the Honest Man oeuvre: It appeals to a year-round crowd, and is a restaurant dedicated to providing thoughtful and, yes, honest food to the local population.

This spot has awesome service as well as delicious meals. One of the best restaurant around here. The drinks and food served quickly and the rates were inexpensive. I recommend this place. Very clean and convenient restaurant. They offer big portions and for reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food very much and the staff members were super attentive and informative. I recommend this place. I ordered some pulled pork. The meal was delicious! The pulled pork, to die for! My girfriend ordered pulled chicken And the chicken was very flavorful & succulent, well flavored, and meaty. Great BBQ. One of the better BBQ spots in the hamptons. I would definitely recommend going.

Cheeseburger, wings, pulled pork sandwich with cheese sauce and Cole slaw and collard greens.

This place caught our eye as we drove by, so we decided to check it out. You could smell the smoking meats in the parking lot, which called you into the restaurant. Inside was no frills and clean. Very friendly girl at the counter. I ordered the special, a pulled pork sandwich with cheese sauce and Cole slaw. I also ordered a side of collard greens. My husband ordered wings and a cheese burger. They were out of pork ends, which was disappointing. Along with 2 fountain sodas, it was $65 - pricey! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious, as were the collard greens, although a touch salty. My husband enjoyed his burger, regretted not ordering the double. The BBQ wings were okay. No crunch, soft. A smoky BBQ sauce, but they were bland; something was missing. If you're in the area, off season, it's worth a try. It was busy, so during season months, I'm sure there will be a long wait. There are 2 rooms for inside dining, 1 with a pool table. There is also an outdoor patio for eating with bench style tables.

    BBQ heaven!

Topping Rose House, Bridgehampton: Culinary Highs and Service Lows…read moreRating: (Food: 9.5 | Service: 6) Topping Rose House remains a bit of a Bridgehampton enigma. As a spot we find ourselves returning to a couple of times a year, the kitchen continues to operate at a gold standard, even when the front-of-house seems to be stuck in a bit of a fog. The Food: A Seasonal Symphony If you are coming strictly for the palate, you will not be disappointed. The freshness of the ingredients is palpable: * Oysters: These were pristine--served icy cold and exceptionally fresh. The mignonette was the standout here; perfectly balanced and bright, it elevated the oysters rather than masking them. * Pea Soup: This was a revelation. It tasted as if the peas had been picked just yesterday; it was vibrant, "green," and utterly delightful. * Lobster Roll: While it was admittedly small in stature (especially for the price point), the execution was flawless. It was bright, crunchy, and avoided the heavy mayo-trap that many local spots fall into. The Service: A Comedy of Errors Unfortunately, the gap between the kitchen and the dining room was wide during this visit. While our waitress was personally lovely, the actual mechanics of the service were incredibly frustrated: * Timing Issues: We were offered bread at the start of the meal, yet it didn't grace the table until we were finished eating. * The Water Gap: Our sparkling water sat empty for far too long. Refills were offered, but like the bread, they arrived only after the meal had concluded. * Lack of Proactivity: There was no offer for drink refills throughout the courses. * Accountability: Most disappointing was the lack of acknowledgment. Mistakes happen, but a simple "I'm so sorry for the delay" goes a long way. Instead, the lapses were never addressed or accounted for. The Verdict: Topping Rose House serves some of the most phenomenal, fresh food in the Hamptons. However, when you're paying Bridgehampton prices, you expect the service to match the caliber of the kitchen. We'll likely be back because the pea soup and oysters are hard to quit, but we'll be crossing our fingers for a more attentive experience next time. mi

I was trying to find a way to go there without having to drive so far just for food. I live an hour away from them, so the travel time is what makes going there a deal breaker consistently. It's worth going to East Hampton generally, but it should be a day thing. Not just to go eat. The person who helped us was very knowledgable and asked good questions in terms of what you'd like for your platter. The food was top quality. Our platters were worth every bit of that gift certificate and I'd love to come around this place again! I also had to buy their sauce on the way back home because we use it for some dinners. My only critiques is regarding the mac and cheese. I wish it was more of a homemade baked mac and cheese with the toasted top. But definitely good mac and cheese nonetheless. The mashed sweet potatoes were definitely too seasoned with all spice. It gave it too much of a kick than I was expecting. I liked the seating inside and outside. I got ribs, brisket, BBQ chicken, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes. I also got an order of the little gem salad. The ribs were some of the best I've had in years. Very juicy, excellent smoky flavor. Tender, perfectly cooked. Brisket was okay when it was warm, but after cooling off a little bit, it got very dry. I'm not a big fan of brisket in general because of how dry and hard the texture can get, but this is okay while fresh. The BBQ sauce on the side helped, but I probably wouldn't get it again here. The BBQ chicken was the most disappointing - just shredded chicken smothered in a ton of sauce. It was very dry, like sticks of matches drowning in sauce. Mashed potatoes were very buttery and delicious, but also retained some chunkiness and skin too, which I really liked. Very flavorful and decadent. Mac and cheese was very good as well, but not the toasty top kind. Still very cheesy and good, like they used real cheese. Cornbread was a surprise hit - very moist and soft, denser than most cornbreads, and a lot sweeter than most cornbreads I've had at BBQ places. It tasted more like a dessert corn cake, which I didn't mind at all. The little gem salad tasted very fresh. Dressing was just okay, and the salmon we got on top was very stinky and did not taste fresh. The skin had a nice crunch to it though. I wish the fish had been fresher. The greens were great, so I might just get it with chicken next time, or something else if they would allow that. Overall, really great food! I would definitely go back here again. It's been a while since I've been to a BBQ place that has really good smokey char flavor without tasting burnt, while still retaining juiciness (in the ribs anyway). I'd highly recommend the ribs, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, salad, and cornbread. I want to try some other items as well. Very friendly service too.
