The Korean BBQ Ribs were crazy delicious! The Kimchi was a perfect counter point to the yummy not too sweet BBQ sauce. I think it had Gochujang in it. Crispy, savory & sweet. Jennie definitely put her foot up in it! I stopped through on an excursion with my Dad, Brother & Nephew to see the Viking Ship The Draken. I insisted that if we didn't go anyplace else we HAD to come here for the best fried chicken. And lawdy Miss Clawdy! She did not disappoint! Nice alternative to overpriced faux gourmet restaurants in the town of Greenport. This is the real deal and reasonably priced. Only 4 or 5 outdoor tables so more of a takeout than sit down restaurant and Jennie is only available on Saturday and Sunday. The other days are fried chicken days. One other down side is a small menu and several items were already "Out of" when were arrived. I ordered the kimchi ribs which was basically barbecued ribs with kimchi on top but it was a great combination. The duck schnitzel sandwich was excellent for an unusual use of duck. We also tried the duck fat fried yukon potatoes which were excellent. Lots of greasy duck fat and rosemary. Will be back to try other dishes next year. Unfortunately their season ends on Labor Day. read more

I've been coming to the North Fork since the mid-90s. Drossos to be fair has never been 'haute' cuisine, your typical burger and fries joint with some mini-golf, nothing more. Keep it simple right? Well then the owner brought in the master of cooking herself Jennie Werts, and there you have it friends - ribs that will literally fall off the bone. Jennie is cooking up some sweet treats and savory goods after a few holes of golf or just passing by on the Main Road. I've been into the fish tacos, as well as Jennie's world famous ribs, and for 4th weekend we ate finely shaven cheese steaks, with a crisp bread that oozes joy and rapture. Drossos is a throwback to the 1950s, the putt putt looks like it came out of American Graffiti. But Jennie's food is modern take on some high-end comfort food in such a unique setting. If you drive by quickly all you see is a mini golf place with a little snack bar. But wait!.....there's a little sign that says "Jenni's". There is a real chef hiding in that snack bar. Fish tacos, Korean BBQ ribs and great fried chicken. If you bring the kids, the menu still includes burgers and hot dogs, but with Jenni in the kitchen, you will be pleasantly surprised. One warning- on a busy day, they might run out of the ribs, so go early or call ahead! You can end your meal with some great ice cream. How do you beat that!! read more

This place is so yummy and fun. You can chow down on a basket of tater tots but also get a nice seasonal salad or other innovative and interesting (and delicious!) dish. I have a quirky milkshake preference that the person made for me although they clearly thought it was kind of weird (it is!). Great place!! read more

Spent my first weekend in Greenport for Memorial Day and happened upon Jennie's for opening weekend. Loved the food (favorites were duck schnitzel and tempura broccoli) and had a terrific experience overall. Everything is made by Jennie herself which was an added bonus. Weekdays they have their regular snack bar menu, weekends they change it up a little. Their tempura broccoli is done to perfection and their burgers are some of the best I've tried. Drosso's has always been one of my favorite summer spots. Mini golf, ice cream and the best clam roll out here. Life just got better when Jennie started to take over their kitchen on the weekends. Visited Jennie's when I was in the North Fork over 4th July weekend - and so glad I did! The food was incredible! We started with tempura broccoli and duck schnitzel sandwich, but the menu was so good we ended up trying loads more - the ribs, fried chicken and duck fat potatoes too. Everything was amazing, cooked to perfection. The ribs fell off the bone, the chicken was crispy and perfectly seasoned, and the tempura broccoli was phenomenal. And all at snack bar prices. This place is a hidden gem - insanely amazing food and also 18 holes of surprisingly hard mini golf! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu - we had the chowder, tempura broccoli (SO good), the special crab cake sandwich (unreal), and the fish tacos (live a little and go with the fried fish). Everything is made to order with fresh, local ingredients. We went on to Shelter Island for the rest of the week, and the food we had at Jennie's was by far the best we had during our trip.
