There is also a very bountiful selection of desserts. Today I went with the maple bacon slices and garlic knots as appetizers and both were delicious. For my mains I picked the baked stuffed shrimp and the prime rib. The prime rib was excellent so I actually went back for seconds. I had a baked potato plus a small salad for sides. The maple bacon was very good and since it is kind of hard to find in restaurants I went ahead and got a couple of more slices of it to top off my dinner. Their dessert bar has so many different offerings that it wasn't easy to decide on what I wanted but I ended up picking a slice of carrot cake along with a brownie plus a dollop of whipped cream to add to the brownie. One of the things I like about their dessert bar is that the servers there give you the option of only getting a half slice of their cakes which is great because that way you're saving room to try even more of their options instead of getting too full from just one thing. It's really the best way to go and you will get to try more of their delicious desserts that way. They have plenty of options here for food and no one ever leaves hungry. We arrived almost an hour earlier than our scheduled reservation but they were nice enough to let us sit down and start dining right away. And we were all hungry when we got there so it was nice that they let us dig in early. We had Josh as a server and he was a pleasure to deal with. He is very attentive and helpful. He even gave my mother some good tips on cracking the lobsters and getting the meat out more easily which was very much appreciated. He was great as far as clearing plates, refilling beverages and making sure we were satisfied with our meals. A very good worker and a skilled waitperson. I stopped into the gift shop after the meal and they had a nice beer glass with their Nordic logo on it as a gift to me for dining with them during my birthday week. The outdoor grounds were nice to hang out and relax for a while before the drive back to Boston. They have benches and hammocks set up plus it was great to see the live animals such as horses and alpacas that they have on the property. They also had a music band playing outside for entertainment. Superb food and a great dining experience. I am already looking forward to our next visit!

It was a generous portion and absolutely delicious. Perfect for a warm summer evening. I especially loved the combination of arugula, fresh mint, and both yellow and red watermelon. The cocoa nibs were an unexpected touch that added wonderful texture and flavor. It's not something I ever would have thought to add to a watermelon salad, but it worked beautifully. I can't wait to order it again. Next came the Long Island calamari frito misto with rock shrimp. The lightly battered calamari and shrimp were perfectly crisp, and the addition of fennel added a unique flavor that elevated the entire dish. It was simply superb. We also shared the red crab tacos. When it came time for dessert, we asked Jennifer to surprise us with her selections. While every dessert was delicious, my absolute favorite was the cinnamon sugar beignets with bourbon caramel dipping sauce. They were warm, light, and completely irresistible.
