I checked into one of their properties in Asheville, NC and had a service issue with one of their properties bathrooms. I reported the issue immediately, didn't hear from them even though they have a 24 hour managed phone line. the next day I called and emailed again, i was told the issue would be resolved by 7pm. I arrived back to the property at 7:30 to still have to the problem not resolved. Called and emailed again... after 18 hours still not reply so I called and emailed again. If you decide to book with them beware that if you have an issue it won't get resolved. read more

We have booked vacation rentals in Asheville for many years, and many of those have been managed by Towns Property Management. However, our current experience is a nightmare, and we haven't even arrived at the rental yet. Towns has decided they will no longer let you pay through VRBO. You have to pay outside of VRBO with a difficult-to-use service and have to pay an additional 3% fee to use the difficult-to-use service. We tried to reach them twice during business hours without success and finally called the "emergency" number, left a message, and received a call. Unless you like getting ripped off and spending a lot of time and aggravation booking a vacation rental, steer clear of any properties managed by Towns Property Management. read more

Customer service nightmare! Waiting for a refund from October 11 booking. Hurricane made it impossible to be there. Was told refunds would be made by the end of October. Still nothing and now they have gone crickets. The property is on their listings and they are taking reservations for it. Do not book with this management company! My husband and I were supposed to stay at a unit and had to cancel due to the hurricane. We did so within the appropriate window and have not received a refund. They are ignoring our messages and calls as well as ignoring VRBO. They still have our money. They are a scam! They also took the property listing down. If you are in the same situation I would suggest finding them on Instagram and making it known there as well. They have an account. We had a reservation to stay at the Towns rental in downtown Asheville, NC. Our reservation was cancelled by VRBO on October 1st due to hurricane Helene. I had been in touch with Brandon Towns via the VRBO site before this to enquire about the ability to cancel our reservation. He informed me that VRBO cancelled the reservation and that we would get a refund. He said that it would be a couple of weeks before the refunds would be made. I have tried to call the office, talk to him on line and have had no response. We have tried to be patient and kind but with no communication we feel we have to let others know before renting with them. read more

We will never again book a vacation rental managed by Towns Property, Asheville NC. At first, the condo "appeared" to be consistent with the high price, with great location, floor plan, view, and Bosch appliances. We hoped this condo could become our go-to place when visiting Asheville, but not now. Within 30 minutes of arrival, we discovered so many shortcomings, including very cheap furnishings and amenities. Bathroom tissue, towels, yucky microfiber bedding, etc. are worse than many budget hotels. Kitchen basics are lacking. For example, there are no standard teaspoons, only 2 salad forks, only 3 matching wine glasses, etc. Furniture is low quality; unsteady bar stools are unsafe. Wifi does not work properly, especially in bedrooms. We judge vacation rentals primarily based on "Would we rebook this rental?" Towns Management does little to promote return rentals and is cheapening what would have been a nice condo. We've stayed in many vacation rentals, including those managed by individuals and those managed by companies. Towns Property is the worst in our experience. read more

We had our rental cancelled from back in October due to the tragic flooding that incurred by the hurricane. It took a while - understandably! - but we finally got a full refund. Communication was difficult at times due to power outages and downed internet but the company stuck to their word and refunded our money. During this crazy pandemic, a company's true colors really show... I had booked a stay at one of their vacation rental properties months before the virus hit and had to cancel. I rescheduled for 2021, but as we're still fighting the pandemic and didn't want to travel, I requested to cancel again. Without any argument or hassles, they graciously sent me a refund (not a small amount of $). I've read horror stories about greedy companies refusing to return deposits. Relieved this wasn't the case. Surely, when this virus is under control, and I return to Asheville, I'll be booking my stay through Towns Property. read more

Recently stayed in a rental (45 Asheland Ave, Unit 507) and did not have a good experience. Elevator was out for almost the entire stay and no concession was made by the management company for the inconvenience of five flights with luggage and then every time we wanted to leave. The kitchen had one pan. Keypad to the garage didn't work. No hangers in the closets. The microwave and ice maker didn't work (my husband got them working eventually). For the price you pay, I would keep looking or stay in a hotel. read more
