Here on a Sunday after FSU / UM game, and I am from out of town. 20 minutes to have someone greet me and ask for water or bring a menu. Ordered 5 wings and it took well over an hour. The food was really good and our server was attentive and friendly. I had the shrimp cerviche tacos-my husband had the cheeseburger. Maybe I'm getting old- but the only negative thing was that the music was so loud you couldn't hear people talk! I'm 37 so I'm out of the college scene! I was with a friend who had taken medication which made her sick. Instead of checking on her they immediately accused her of being over intoxicated and kicked her out. They were completely invasive and handled the situation completely WRONG. I understand that is a college bar but everyone should be treated as guest and with respect no matter what. The staff continued to disrespect her and speak ill of her behind her back. I will not be visiting again. EVER. I hope in the future they learn to treat there paying guest with respect and not even that, show some humility. She was hospitalized the following day, not that they care. The fact that they have a 1L stein available is phenomenal. I love the selection of draft craft beers. The foods I have tried are the Big Daddy pretzel, sausage, and cheese fries. Nope, not a good dining experience. If you want to hang out with a bunch of drunks and buy overpriced beer, this is your spot. Food is weird and was waaay overpriced. Sketchy neighborhood as well, not a good place to be late at night. Loud, industrial atmosphere, uncomfortable, and then you have to wait on yourself!!!! They do have servers, but you have to order and pick up your own food and drink!! Lots of better choices in Tally (And I was not there on graduation weekend!) I think most residents of Tallahassee (who have lived here longer than a year or two) would concur with me on the neighborhood, which is bigger than just the block where this place is located, just ask TPD. read more

I was in Tallahassee for a seminar for a week, and ended up coming to Township six nights out of seven! They have a fun and large selection of beer (available as litres or half-litres), the bathrooms are clean. Like other people have mentioned, there is table-service for drinks but you go up to a separate counter to order any food. The only food that I tried was the pretzel; I didn't like it, but other people did. But great atmosphere both inside and outside on the patio. It's also great for big groups, since there is large table/bench seating. It's easy to become a regular. :) read more

First of all, Evan is great. He is so attentive and helpful to the customers! However, unfortunately Evan is the only staff member I can vouch for. I've worked in this industry for 8 years and the service here is absolutely terrible. Four times I have been to this establishment and on the most recent, after hunting down the server and asking for my tab 3 times, it still took me going to a bar manager to override/bring my check to the table. Not only this, but you better order everything at once because you will not see your server for 30 minutes between each visit. I understand being busy, however, the service I have received during my last visits is inexcusable. Even after talking to a manager (multiple visits) nothing has changed. Not to mention, if you have a single complaint (even if the restaurant is clearly in the wrong) they give you attitude and are rude. For the Table should really pull it together & hammer down on their customer service, because Madison Social and Centrale can service their customers well, but Township is an absolute atrocity that needs SERIOUS help. read more

I don't know how it gets any better than township! There is a variety of beers, the service is prompt, and the venue is beautiful! The only thing I would recommend is heaters when it gets chilly out. A lot of customers were cold and the wind kept blowing right in the open building. To anyone trying out Township, I would highly recommend trying the shrimp ceviche tacos or the beer-battered cheese fries- incredibly delicious! read more

There is no bar / restaurant I miss more since graduating in May than Township. My home for 3 years, my go to place to drink at 2pm after class in my Nike shorts, or to rage on a Saturday night. I miss the beer cocktails, the big pretzels, and of course the staff themselves. Such a friendly place, everyone in there is happy and having a great time including the staff. Flip my ship is the greatest invention Tallahassee has ever seen, and so is the Das Mule and Gaarden Party. Nothing will ever compare. Township was okay. We attended the cheese event, but they didn't have the station staffed so it took forever. The music is also quite loud whether you sit inside and out. They also don't believe in napkins? Is that a new thing the kids are doing these days? Our waitress had to bring us bathroom paper towels because our drink condensation kept running down the table onto our laps. Our waitress was really the only good service we received. Some of the other bus boys, or whatever their position is, looked miserable and treated us as of they just wanted us to leave. Over the past year Township has became a go to for my friends and I. Whether for football, basketball, or hockey games, Township has specials that are always bringing us in and that atmosphere is just as good. I absolutely love it here! The atmosphere is great and I'm obsessed with the open concept they have! They have a great beer selection and they're always taking suggestions on what to add to the taps. I fell in love with the tuna poke "nachos" my first time there. They also have amazing beer cheese, I don't know what they did to it but all it does is make me want more of it. Love love love it here I went for the first time last week and I went back 2 more times that week I'm obsessed. That being said it is pricey my nachos were $12 and I kinda wish the portion was bigger but it's so worth it for some good food and a great atmosphere. read more

This place is solid. It all starts with a friendly host at the front door this past Saturday night. Nice guy with a good sense of humor. There is outside seating but it was a bit nippy so we sat inside. There are two large rooms with nice new high top tables. Adequate napkin supply and utensils were on the table in a basket . Menus were in the basket as well. All of the 32 beers were listed by type. Each was priced 3 ways depending upon the size of the pour. Wished more places would do this. Food choices are decent and are on the wall above the bar. Each has a good explanation or the item. The must have is the pretzel. Comes with a hot mustard and a beer cheese sauce. The ceviche shrimp tacos were a hit. Not a hit was the tuna poke nachos which suffered from a heavy hand with a wasabi sauce. I like hot and spicy food but this was overkill. A little wasabi goes a long way. Went up to the counter and ordered beers and food from a very attractive and sweet FSU junior. Its nice to see someone smile while working on a Saturday night, knowing she was missing some fun some where. We joked about how she will have fun later and that work will allow her to appreciate the fun. She is destined for success. She got my 3 beers immediately and informed me how the food ordering worked as well. By the time I walked the beers to our table I received a text to come pick up the food. This a fun go to spot to have some beers and hang out with friends. Its not a club so you can actually sit down and enjoy yourself. Probst!! read more

Here for the game and got to the restaurant early to be enjoy the outside band. Sitting right next to patio and the manager plays the music inside so loud you can't make out their music nor the live band. I really enjoy this place. The atmosphere is great, although I would imagine that sometimes it may get too packed for my taste. We chose to come here for dinner on one occasion, a brunch crawl, and day-drinking for another. Each time we enjoyed ourselves and the excellent beer selection. Ask for a sample of a draft beer before you commit to a liter. If you can't find a draft you love, be sure to check out their extensive selection of bottled and canned beers. Those have been some of my favorites. As for the food, it's pretty delicious, but some of the options (like their soy sauce based brunch stir fry) are way too salty for me. We ate one or two bites and threw the rest out. Anything with the beer cheese is amazing though. The knockwurst is pretty good, the burger is pretty good (if you order it with bacon and an egg on top for an extra couple dollars), but the prices were a bit high. It cost us over $30 to have a knockwurst (no sides), a burger (no sides), and an order of fries with the beer cheese (split between the two of us) - without the cost of drinks. That meal shouldn't have been more than $25 anywhere in Tallahassee. If you plan to eat a meal here, plan to spend at least $20 per person including beverages.The pretzels are huge though, those are probably worth the money. read more

Township is a great new spot in college town with a big open floor plan and a very trendy feel. I came here last night at around 1am to grab a drink with some of my coworkers after a long shift. we ended up having a pint of beer, and then my friend got up to get me another and ordered the liter. The liter is sizable-- i think it holds 4 beers total-- and at 1:45am he was allowed to order 2 of them. The bartender didn't mention that they would be closing abruptly at 2am and practically pushing people out of the door. When 2am came around i still had a little more than half of my beer left and I was forced to chug as much as I could before I was escorted out. The bartender should definitely not have served the largest beer that late at night and I was pretty annoyed that I wasted so much money for something I couldn't drink, so I called to request a refund. I spoke to a bar manager named Alex, who had actually witnessed the purchase the night before. He was very understanding and apologetic for the situation and gave me a gift card for the price of two beers. He seemed like he genuinely cared about me as a customer, which you don't find often in a college town. Wonderful customer service and atmosphere, I will definitely be back! read more

Some friends and I went here over the weekend to try the "More Cheese Please" build your own brunch bowl. We heard about this through their Instagram page. First off, the meal was $15. We walk over to the buffet table and the young woman gives us the smallest scoops imaginable on this very small dish. I feel like we should have got more food for the the price we paid. Especially since every Instagram post they had revolving around this menu option made the entree look three times bigger than what it actually was. The food is very overpriced for what it is- slightly above par bar food. The beer list is extensive however very IPA heavy with very few stouts/porters offered. When we were last there, food had to be ordered at the counter and a text message was sent when it was ready for you to pick up however there was table service for drinks. I went to watch the FSU vs Michigan game and loved the atmosphere. The downside was that it was cold out and how the restaurant is set up, it's basically completely open and you are cold inside if it's cold outside. But that was minor in my mind. The service was not the best and the waitress forgot our beer orders a few times. To order food, you have to go up to the bar and order and they'll send a text when your food is done, which kind of sucks. But the atmosphere makes up for the mediocre service. They have a good beer selection and the food was actually good (the beer cheese is a MUST). I'll go back, when I feel like surrounding myself with the college atmosphere. read more

This is a very interesting restaurant.... My personal belief is that the restaurant tried to incorporate too many ideas into its food and restaurant. What I mean by that is it had a very weird and eclectic group of food. The location for the restaurant is stellar, but there are many restaurants with similar locations. They do have a good selection of beers, but the food is very subpar. If you enjoy exotic beers, then this place is for you. However, if you are looking for quality food, your money is better spent across the street at Madison Social, as they have quality food and beer. read more
