La Joya Taco Truck has been on my radar for years. I finally tried it for the first time last year,…read moreand since then it has become one of my go-to taco trucks in Vallejo. The food is very, very good, the prices are reasonable, and the portions you get are worth it. It's kind of hard to miss when driving by, but they also have a small sign near the street letting you know they're there. I had known about this taco truck for years but never stopped until last year, and now I wish I had gone sooner. I ordered a super burrito and a few tacos. One thing I really like is that they actually list the length of their burritos on the menu. That's a nice touch because sometimes you order a "super burrito" somewhere else and end up with something small. Here, you know exactly what you're getting. Out of all the taco trucks in Vallejo, this is easily one of my top three burrito trucks. I try not to burn myself out eating at the same place too often, so I like switching between favorites, and this is definitely one I keep coming back to. I almost always get the steak burrito. One thing I really love is the pico de gallo they use. They use red onions, which gives it a nice touch, and every time I get it, I can really taste the cilantro in the pico de gallo throughout the burrito. The steak and chicken street tacos were also really good but the burrito is always my favorite! Parking is never an issue because they share a parking lot with an auto body shop during off-hours, so there's usually plenty of space. They also have cones to help guide cars entering and exiting the lot. When your food is ready, they call your order number over the microphone/intercom system, then ask if you want red or green sauce and chips. Overall, I've always had a great experience here. If you're in Vallejo and looking for a good taco truck, I definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I waited so long that most of the places is closed up. Luckily, this place was open late which is great. Came here and ordered a few tacos. Ordering was easy and the folks were chill and friendly. The prices were great as well. Ate my tacos in the car and headed back to the hotel I was staying at.

I have to be honest, this truck was so disappointing. There is no shortage of taco trucks in the…read morearea so there is no reason for this one to be so bad. We gave it a shot because it was parked right inside the Fairgrounds for the Dinosaur Adventure event that went on last weekend. I should have yelped it first, but we went in blind, and now I regret it. We ordered 2 revuelta pupusas, the 3 taco plate, and the elote. First of all, their prices are insane. $7 for 1 pupusa? $15 for 3 tacos? $5 for elote kinda made sense but seriously, they didn't even execute that one right so still wasn't worth it. It seemed to be a one woman show, so I can excuse the wait time. Everyone knows pupusas can take about 15 min anyways so the wait didn't bother me. My elote was hot, but it barely had any cheese on it. All you could see was mayo, tajin, and a light sprinkle of cheese... I feel like the cheese is kinda what makes it so how are you gonna skimp on that. It was served on a plate, and then folded into foil so I guess that's nice but no. The cheese didn't just fall off on the plate, it just wasn't anywhere to be found :( The corn was sweet though, so I did enjoy it still but the elote mans would be ashamed to see how this one was served. The 3 taco plate only came with 1 salsa. Their mild is a green salsa that tasted like water. I had to ask for a spicy red one which just tasted like roasted pepper water/oil. I was not a fan. The chicken tacos were basically rotissierie chicken meat on a tortilla. No "asado" to be found anywhere. I'm an al pastor girly but this was the worst al pastor of my life. I didn't even finish it, it was that bad. The revueltas were the saving grace but even then.. they were mid. They were sooooo hot though, and had a decent amount of filling. The slaw paired with this was nice and tangy but again, the mild green salsa did nothing for the pupusa. I love when the cheese oozes out of pupusas and get all grilled up, nice and crispy. This pupusa wasn't giving all that lol It could have used a bit more salt/flavor but compared to everything else, it was good and the reason why I'm giving 2 stars. However, $7 for one pupusa is ridiculous. I understand inflation, but the food prices here do not match the food that is being served. The woman running the truck was nice though, so I do appreciate that and how hard she must be working if she's doing things alone. I just wouldn't ever come back.

I had a great experience at Toyota Vallejo when I went in for an oil change. Yaz Gonzalez, the…read moreservice agent who helped me, was exceptional from start to finish. She was very thorough in explaining the pricing, the expected time, and exactly what services were completed, along with anything my car might need in the future. What I really appreciated was her approach. She wasn't pushy at all and never tried to upsell unnecessary services. She was attentive, present, and made me feel like I was her top priority the entire time. That level of customer service is rare these days, and it definitely made the experience smooth and stress-free. I'll without a doubt will be returning and highly recommend asking for Yaz if you want honest, clear, and professional service.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers. Between the two, I would certainly save my stomach space for tacos from Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño next time.

One thing that caught me off guard is that there are no prices posted anywhere. They simply tell you your total at the end, and in my experience, the prices are higher than I expected. To help others, here's what I was charged: Aguas frescas (Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, Jamaica): $7 each Burrito: $18 Mulita: $9 each Torta: $13 Huarache: $16 The food itself is very good, especially when they're not busy. When it's slower, the portions are generous and everything seems to be made with more care. During the rush, though, I've noticed the portions get smaller and the food feels a little rushed, which is disappointing considering the prices. One of my favorite things is the salsa bar. They have a great variety of salsas and toppings, including cucumbers, pickled cabbage, and other fresh additions, and you can help yourself. They also had four different aguas frescas available when I visited: Horchata, Strawberry Horchata, Piña, and Jamaica, which was a nice selection. I do think the customer service could be improved. A little more friendliness and better communication, especially about pricing, would make a big difference. Overall, the food is tasty and they offer a great selection, but I'd really like to see prices posted and more consistency with portions, especially during busy hours. Hopefully this review helps anyone wondering what to expect before ordering.
