I had a fancy 2018 Toyoto Camry (V-6, 125 HP etc) which had a snazzy total roll back sun roof. Recently, with only 36,000 miles after 8-years of use, the fancy sun roof failed to close, in the rain of course. I went to Walnut Creek Toyoto for a fix. Fortunately, the service representative I drew was Adan Martinez (extension 557). Adan quickly produced a back room tech who very quickly diagnosed the problem and came up with a repair estimate of $12,000. I danced around that bad news for awhile. But Adan asked if I had a warranty of any kind? I said no, this is an 8-year old car and I receive offers to renew the warrantly but have never acted on the offers. But Adan, without any nudge from me, pursued the issue of a possible warranty on the fantastic Toyoto national data system, found my original warranty was still good for 2-months. Adan had solved my money problem, totally on his own, without my pushing in any way. So I give great praise to: Adan for being so thoughtful, helpful, persistant, and on the service edge which had big consequences for me. This was my experience recently at Toyota of Walnut Creek. Two years ago, I decided to trade in my used Honda Accord for a new 2024 RAV4 Hybrid. This review is related to the Walnut Creek Toyota service department. - Poor or no communication. After the first day, I was told the issue was repaired and to come down and pick it up. After I got there, they said no, it isn't fixed yet because the guy that does this had to go home. - And then, No QC of recalled issue. All someone had to do was to look at the issue and see that it hadn't been repaired properly. - Multiple trips between home and dealer to get a simple issue fixed. Fortunately, they offer Lyft rides and offer a loaner, - I've had issues like this with Walnut Creek Toyota service department in the past. Next time, I'll try Concord Toyota. I'll start from the beginning. The salesman who sold me the car was quite rude, throwing papers and pens, pretending that he was the boss. The dealer hid the fact that the engine gasket in the car had burst and the coolant pump was practically not working. They put an additive in the engine so I wouldn't notice any problems with the engine. As a result, I have to pay $1400 for repairs. They are deceiving buyers when selling used cars. Be more careful and better come check these cars with a mechanic. As a result, because of the additive they poured in, my radiator was clogged, my engine gasket burst, and my pump was practically broken. I could put 0, I would gladly do it. Just check my engine photos and you will see a lot of dirt there Upd. I spoke with the support of this car dealership and they told me that your "specialists" did not even check the cylinders in case of a damaged cylinder head gasket. Your manager told me that "specialists" checked the sensors and that's all. This did not happen earlier because the coolant was filled with an additive that blocks holes in the cylinder head gasket for a couple of months. Therefore, the professionalism of your specialists raises questions, or this is ordinary negligence towards clients I decided to post my review here also. Will add photos soon read more
