I'm all about professionalism when it comes to service and honesty definitely plays a crucial role when speaking about professionalism. Posted a CList ad selling a family member's car for $11000. Was contacted by an individual named Ryan and was told that he wanted to purchase the car for his sister. We met at a disclosed time and place. Turns out the address given was none-other than EBAB. After meeting with Ryan at the location, he kept discussing how awesome the car was for his sister and how his family could only afford $10000. Didn't want to deal with the hassle so I agreed with the $10000 cash. Middle of all the paperwork, we were interrupted by another customer who came in to bid on an online car auction. After winning his deal and leaving, Ryan (the salesman) decides to bad mouth the customer to me (something to do with commission rates being higher if the customer didn't come in). Really? Not professional at all bro. I'd keep my mouth shut for future reference when you're making any business deals with clients. To add on top of all this, he never even test drove the car until after all the paperwork was signed. Who does that? After all the paperwork was done, Ryan drove me to his company's bank to gather the cash. The transaction was messy due to mismatched signatures; however, I was eventually able to grab-and-go the $10000. ONE WEEK LATER, the car is back on CList for $13000. In all honesty, I don't mind the resell and am perfectly happy with my $10000; however, would have been nicer to find the intent of purchase in-person or through a phone call rather than on CList. This review is for the experience of selling my car to them. I ordered a new car from Toyota in Marin and at the time they gave me a decent trade in quote on my old one. Well, the order was taking a lot longer than expected and they were starting to pull some sleazey dealer antics. Suddenly they were lowballing me on my trade and telling me one story after another. A bit of googling later and I come across Tony and his consignment shop. Just thing I needed! He was very upfront about what he charges for consignments and what it would cost for the various cosmetic things like detailing, ding pulling etc. All of it sounded very reasonable and much cheaper than if I had to find all those services myself. After giving it some thought I called him back to set things up and he ended up offering to just buy my car outright. Perfect! Just the way I like to do things - straightforward, honest and to the point. s The next day he drove out to my house, looked it over and true to his word gave me the price we discussed. Could not have been happier with the deal. I completely understood that he's going to end up selling it for more - but in the end had I had to pay to detail it, pull the dings, etc I would have ended up making about the same amount on the deal. Ryan the guy who sold me my Mercury marauder was rude to other customers but I was in love with the car that I saw there so I went ahead and bought it from him but then later regretted it because of problems with the exhaust finding its way into the main cabin of the car. Ryan was not helpful at all and then after a heated argument on the phone, he told me he was going to Reno later that night. Hi All, I recently bought a 2013 , Lexus ES 350 from them. When I bought the car the tire check sign was on. The dealer confirmed that it is only due to tire pressure. Two days post taking the delivery of the car, I took it to Lexus dealership to get it checked. To my shock , the tire had a nail and since it was closer to the sidewall, it needs to be replaced. They gave me a bill for $250. I called up dealership and even though acknowledged the tire check sign, they refused to take any responsibility for the tire replacement. I wanted to buy a car for my son. I had a very specific car in mind for him and to my disbelief, the exact vehicle I had been looking for was ours in a matter of days. I found my car on Craigslist and was able to text with Mike to get information (I really like this part!). The price of the car couldn't have been better, but the up front information needs work. Long story short, the price of the car + cost of immediate repairs required to avoid severe damage to the engine equated to the actual KBB value of the vehicle. After quite some time, Mike provided me the inspection report which indicated a small oil leak and a non-functional driver side mirror and a broken driver side visor. 1- The car did not have an oil leak. 2- The water pump leaked and the car overheated on me (luckily i noticed). 3 - The oil leak was actually a power steering link due to a cracked hose. 4 - There was a cooling fan simply MISSING!?!?! 5 - After you sign, do not expect these guys to go out of their way to make you a happy customer if you have a problem. M&N Auto was responsible for the inspection. 2k in repairs later I have the car I wanted, but not for the price I expected. ******************************************************************************************* While the price was good for me, do yourself a favor and pay couple hundred and have the new car dealer (if you buy a BMW, have BMW do it) complete a full inspection of the vehicle before purchasing from this dealer. I explained my interest in the advertised 2011 BMW 550IX and he gave me the keys, so I can start it and look it over. I did just that and upon starting, the vehicle had a immediate screeching noise. Also noted poor detailing, as it obviously had been sitting for awhile. When Michael came around again, I mentioned my experience and his comment was, "We have more cars in the back." I have never bought a used car from a dealer before - I always assumed I would either pay too much, get a defective vehicle or both. So, when I saw a sharp 2008 Audi TT advertised far below any other price I had seen, I was very skeptical. I drove about 45 minutes to check the vehicle out, and was amazed. It really rang my "too good to be true" alarm. They of course pulled out all the stops detailing the vehicle, but still, it looked new. It was high miles, just over 100k, but it looked well maintained and ran flawless. They drove me over to their mechanic who was not at all shady, and answered all my questions. They did a timing belt/water pump service before I bought the car, included in the price. That service alone would have been $1000 at the dealer. To make a long story short, I decided to take a chance and bought the vehicle. Here we are seven months and several thousand miles later. I waited this long because I was sure something major would pop up. Nope. The car is so far the best used vehicle I have ever purchased, way, way above my expectations. I usually wrench on my own cars, so I changed all the fluids, tune-up, filters, etc, and everything I touched showed the evidence of a well maintained vehicle. I found that there were some "silent" recalls pending from Audi, so I had a dealership perform those for free. I did have a seat motor, and one coil pack go bad, but that cost me no more than $175 or so. I saw a couple other vehicles they had that were also in amazing shape for the price. All that I saw had high miles, so perhaps that is how they keep their prices low. The salesmen were better than those I've met at regular dealerships, but still salesmen. We didn't haggle much because I already felt I was stealing the car. They even delivered the car to my town. It's the nature of the used car business that these guys may occasionally pass on a lemon, after all, there's no way even a mechanic can know everything about a car, so, your mileage may vary. As for me, I can't recommend them enough. read more

I like the idea of the service. We bought a new car, at a reasonable price, and it was very convenient. The issue was with the paperwork. The paperwork had our names very wrong. After signing a second, corrected set, the car ended up being registered still under the wrong name. I have tried to reach out to get this corrected, but have had limited responses from East Bay Auto Brokers. Least helpful salesperson ever. Actually demanded to set a sales price BEFORE allowing a Pre Purchase Inspection to be completed. Offered to send copies of service records and never followed through. Came here to post this review and I see that others have had similar experiences and one person ended up buying a car without the inspection and suffered immediate repairs! I'm definitely not going to deal with them and I recommend anyone who does in the future, make sure you get a PPI (pre purchase inspection) done BEFORE committing to any sales agreements with them.
