Specially on Tuesday's, you get a free upgrade to their humongous Pumbo size. The honey boba is always fresh and soft. They have tons of flavored teas and exotic flavors too. The staff are always friendly and service is quick. The place sometimes gets messy because of the high volume of people coming in. The lines do move pretty quickly. Tpumps used to be my obsession as a kid, but times have changed. I now go once a year for nostalgia. Since we were in the area and I had my birthday reward, I decided to drop in. This is my first time at their Burlingame location. It's not too big. Similar to other spots, you walk in, the menu is on the wall, order and pay, then wait for your drink. It can get crowded inside at times. For the most part, drinks came out pretty quickly. Service isn't the friendliest, more of an efficient I have always gotten the same thing: Passionfruit, Mango, Guava Green Milk Tea with Honey Pearl. I always get it with less ice, no sweetness, and Oat Milk. The drink was fine, but Tpumps is notorious for being sweet, which is why I loved it as a kid. I found it to be average in flavor; the boba was chewy and sweet. I've tried their other drinks, but I always go to my default. TPumps is a classic Bay Area spot that I grew up with. Strolled in here on a Thursday evening around 7pm. Parking was a little tricky, free street parking after 6pm. I had just eaten at Barrelhouse and wanted something sweet. Boba was the perfect dessert! They had a self service sample - mango lavender lychee green tea! It was very good so I got a something similar - swapped out the mango for passion fruit and it came with honey boba! Asked for light ice, light sweetness. It still had too much ice but other than that, it was very good! The honey boba was perfectly fresh with the right bouncy chew! I could have easily hung out inside to w you my drunk. I got the iced Tpumps-sized strawberry mango lychee black milk tea, regular sweet, with boba -- easily a 5/5. Brought me back to high school days when I used to have Tpumps all the time. First off the drinks are quite delicious and somewhat affordable, but in my opinion they do not care about special requests and accommodations. Whenever I am at this specific Tpumps Shop they rarely give me less ice when i ask for it. I even compare my drink to my brothers' who also gets less ice and he gets less than me. Came here right before closing and it was empty. I got a strawberry mango guava drink with black tea which was really tasty as I added milk to it. It was refreshing and paired well with my tacos! My boyfriend got the blackberry rose vanilla with black milk tea and it had a subtle sweetness and was delicious. I love boba and I used to come to Tpumps all of the time when I was a kid. I love that you can essentially create any drink that you want to and for a great price. My drink was their largest size and was only $6, can't beat that! The staff is friendly and they've introduced some ready made drinks in the little grab and go fridge for only $2.50, again, an amazing price point in my opinion. I got my drink extra sweet, and when they mean sweet, they mean it so beware! 10/10 highly recommend if you've never been here before! Whenever Tpumps is brought up around me, I always hear good things about it. Since we were in the area, my boyfriend and I stopped by to grab a drink. The first thing we noticed when we arrived was their plexiglass order and pick-up window at the entrance. There was hand sanitizer and a Square credit card reader as well as COVID safety signage posted. We both haven't been here in years so it took a minute to look through all of the variety of flavors they offer along with their daily specials and seasonal flavors. We ended up creating a 3-flavor drink - passionfruit, raspberry, and pineapple. All delicious flavors with green tea, very sweet, and no toppings. The other drink we got was mango, peach, passion, green tea, 50% sweet, and no toppings. Out of the two, I liked the drink we created more :) Quick service! Same quality taste from when they first opened. Tpumps is one of the original boba spots in the Bay. Aside from quicklys and tapex. I normally don't order anything too crazy because all the flavors will get mixed up. (The menu has really evolved since they first opened in San Mateo). Lately my go to drink has been peach mango lychee green milk tea with boba. Those are flavors you can never get tired of. You can adjust the sweetness and the ice level. If your drink isn't to your liking you can always ask them to adjust it. The staff is always sweet and friendly. Lately they haven't been doing the rewards. I'm not sure if they don't do that anymore or that they just halted it because of the shelter in place. They also have Apple Pay which is a big plus. The tea wasn't too sweet and made for a great presentation being so big! I gifted 5 to my children's teachers and they all loved their drinks! My hot green tea with honey boba (which I have never tried) with the added flavors was not very satisfying. First of all, the boba itself was flabby, not chewy, which frustrated me. Secondly, drinking tea through a straw was a complete challenge, because the boba jammed and when I first checked what was wrong, it turned out that some of the liquid was stuck there as well, which spilled out on me. I've memorized it like a song lyric even though I don't live near one anymore and rarely come back home to get it. However, when I do come home, it's a must-go. I reviewed the San Mateo location a long time ago but since I haven't reviewed their new location I might as well. There isn't much different if you've already been to Tpumps before. If you haven't, the rundown is that they will usually have some samples at the front of the line for you to try. Sometimes the workers will even bring some around and have you try new flavor combinations out. There are lots of flavors that you can mix and you can mix as many as you want (I think) but I've only ever seen people mix up to three flavors. You can choose your sweetness level, toppings, and amount of ice. Don't forget to input your phone number to get a free drink after ordering 10! Some people don't like Tpumps because it doesn't have the tea flavors that other boba places have and that it's really sweet. Yeah those may be true but I really don't care. This place is more nostalgic for me than anything and when I taste some of my honey mango drink it takes me back to a more simple time. For my family it's a tradition to go to my favorite sushi place ever (located in San Mateo) for dinner and get Tpumps after. That was how life was like when Tpumps was in San Mateo and it still continues even as it moves to Burlingame. Some things never change and this is one I hope never does. read more

This is my new fav boba boba chain! I have been coming here regularly 1-2x per month while I wait out my dog's physical therapy appts so I have plenty of experiences to go off of here. The staff is always helpful and quick. I love all the options for flavors and toppings + the price seems reasonable for what you get. They offer samples of a popular flavor to try and pro tip - there is always a good deal on the flavors of the month (check out the sign by the register). If you don't need to customize orders and want a cheaper option, there are pre-made drinks without toppings in the mini fridge. The onlyyyy thing that sucks here is parking. It is meter only and usually always busy during normal business hours. And don't try what I did by not paying the meter! From all of the flavors (syrups probably) they have, you can go wiiild and mix and match! Well, yo to 3 flavors only. And if your drink doesn't come out the way you hoped, just let them know and they will be happy to change up your drink. So the concept of ordering your drink is easily. Pick a size, pick your flavors, pick your tea (green, black, non-caffeinated, + others), add milk if you want (whole, soy, almond), adjust the sweetness, then add toppings (honey boba, taro, etc.). Like other TPUMPS, this location does give out samples of whatever combo they made up for that day, and they have a fridge of $2 drinks. Overall, the vibe of this place is like any other boba spot. Lively with good music. The workers seem to enjoy making the drinks. It's just not a spot where you can sit down and hang out with your homies. Will I be back?
