I'm not sure how many people now about this spot. It's been here for a while now. They used to not make all the boba guys drinks but they have expanded the menu! I think you can also buy the milk tea in a jug size as well. Street parking is relatively easy to find. The workers here have always been really nice. There's no where to sit so all yours drinks will be to go. If you want a milk tea, I like the classic milk tea, jasmine, and Hong Kong milk tea. Boba Guys spinoff [Brisbane CA] I found the name a little odd for a boba shop when I was searching for a bubble tea place while we were in Daly City. This one is located in Brisbane which is close by. When we arrived it wasn't what we expected... I guess they still have this ordering system around in some parts of the Bay Area, it just reminded me of Covid days. We found parking right in front of the store. We placed our order immediately just outside at the entry way, no inside customer seating. It was our first time here, they had their Fall/Winter 2024 menu out... no slushie type drinks (bummer!) which was what we preferred. We chose from their Seasonal Specials: Choconana w/ boba and Rosa's Nut Latte. I had the Choconana which was chocolate sauce and Korean banana milk. Nice but a little too sweet even for me. I usually don't adjust the sweetness level but maybe I should've this time. Ambiance is whatever the weather is outside... which was drizzling in NorCal at the time. I placed an order online for pickup and ordered the horchata with boba. I took a sip of my drink when I was already in my car and drove off realizing how watered down my drink was. It had absolutely no flavor, basically like water and a hint of cinnamon. When I got home which was not that far, I took out all the ice and saw that I was left with only half a cup of liquid and some boba. You're telling me I ordered half a cup of ice?! Strictly for customer service today or complete lack of it... Came with my team (17 people) after lunch for more treats and about half of us ended up ordering drinks. One person on my team never heard her name called and when she went to the counter to ask, they claimed that they had called her name "at least twice" and with no reply, they dumped it. What?! There is no way that 16 other people did not hear her name. But even if we did, why would you toss the drink so soon? Yeah, sure, quality of the drink is a reason but I don't actually think their cited reason is valid or true this time. The reason why I feel so strongly about this is that multiple teammates placed and received his/her order after this teammate. If they had saw an additional drink waiting on the counter, I'm quite certain they would have also pointed it out. By far, the most egregious thing was that Burrow REFUSED to remake the drink or refund the drink. My teammate was SOL and Burrow seemed perfectly content with this resolution. Remarkable! At no point was she rude or making a scene and yet she was essentially being told this whole situation was her fault. She was genuinely sad and was about to just walk away. First off, the drinks are delicious! But unfortunately, it's the girl with the RBF in the front that ruined the experience for me. I ordered 8 drinks for me and my family, each one with specifics such as oat milk, boba, no ice, etc. So, it's definitely hard to remember which family member wanted which drink. I apologized twice for having her wait while I clarified the drinks with my family member, but she was not understanding. She did not smile at all. -_- Usually, people who work there would identify which drink is what during pick up, but she did not. She just handed it to me and sat back down in her chair. When I asked her, if these two were the jasmine green tea drinks, she said yes. But it turns out, those were the horchata drinks...-_- When a customer orders a lot of drinks, it would be helpful to label them more clearly in legible handwriting. The Burrow is basically one of many Boba Guys locations they have. I ordered online for pickup, and got the ube latte with aloe jelly. The ube latte was very light, with unique hints of cinnamon and coconut. The aloe jelly was a good pairing, adding a slight crunch to the drink. I do wish that they would let you adjust the ice and sugar levels for this drink, just like with other drinks they have. Although the price is a bit high, I would recommend a try! read more

FINALLY was able to try the famous OG Boba Guys (The Burrow) which doesn't help that it's about 7 mins away from our hotel :) Tried one of their top 5 favorites: Strawberry Matcha Latte with boba. I loved how it wasn't super sweet and the matcha added was just right. The strawberry puree that was added, was the right amount of sweet balance to go along with the almond milk based drink. First impressions aren't always accurate. When I first tried Boba Guys in 2018, I didn't think their drinks were all that special. At the time I was judging solely on their black milk tea. Their boba pearls were just okay and their grass jelly was a laughable attempt. I couldn't understand what the hype was about. Fast forward to recent months and I grew curious about the brand again. Whoever is their marketing or design person deserves a raise because I saw their special cups for sakura season with the cute little cherry blossoms and it was enough to make me decide to give them a second chance. My experience this time around was MUCH different than three years ago. A couple key differences is that their only topping is boba now (no grass jelly) and that they don't allow for ice/sugar adjustments. I was a little apprehensive about the latter because I'm the type of person to get no ice and 25% sugar in my boba drinks. But to my surprise, the drinks aren't overly sweet! I really enjoyed their strawberry matcha latte and strawberry tea fresca! I got the black sesame latte for my mom who really enjoyed it. I did taste it as well, but it's not my cup of tea (pun intended). Their boba pearls are honestly like just alright like 8/10. But their drinks! Delicious and good quality!!! Went to visit on a Monday holiday and it was quite busy. Ordered their Black Sesame Latte with boba and it was not how I expected it to taste like, but still good. This drink is made with rice milk so the drink is much thinner than if it were made with milk. The black sesame taste isn't too overpowering. The boba was cooked perfectly. Don't be fooled. The Burrow is basically Boba Guys just named differently. If you do want to know why, it's basically the OG location of all Boba Guys. Boba Guys has always been famous for their boba; it's chewy, sweet, and if you get their boba when it's fresh, it's super warm and soft. I've had this place many times and I've practically tried their entire menu for years now. If you are a starter, the strawberry matcha latte is what they are notorious for. They are the creators of this drink and no other place can match up to how good this is. AND get it with oat milk. That is the game changer milk that makes this drink incredibly good. It just tastes like a really really good strawberry milk drink. All of the matcha powder they use is the good matcha so that's why if you get their matcha latte's, its like quality good! They use fresh ingredients for all their drinks too! Everything that they make is from scratch and I hold a lot of respect to that. Along with their standard drinks, they also have seasonal drinks that they release. My favorites are their Matcha Latte, Black Sesame (seasonal), Jasmine, Strawberry Tea Fresca, Korean Banana Milk, and of course, the famously aesthetic Strawberry Matcha Latte. But please, DO NOT get their grass jelly, you will be very disappointed. It's not soft and smooth like how other places make it, and it's kind of bad. Not sure why it's taken me this long to visit The Burrow. Little did I know that this is the production site of Boba Guys... so technically when you come here, you're buying straight from the source! I received a Boba Guys Hojicha Latte Kit from my sister for a Christmas present. I finally got around to making the latte with boba a couple of weeks ago and loved it!!! I cooked a dry cup's worth of the boba and it definitely needed more than 3 cups of water because of evaporation during the boiling process. Use 6 cups and you won't have to worry about running out of water. I used oat milk as suggested for the latte and it was fabulous. My sister is not a big Matcha fan but she loved Hojicha. The Kit came with recipe cards, kuromitsu, Hojicha powder, tea whisk, a metal Boba straw, and dried boba. I shop regularly for tea at their online shop. I love their Lychee Green Tea. I do a cold brew of it and drink the tea as is, no sugar no milk. I just recently ordered their Lavender Black online but they made an error and sent me Jasmine Green Tea instead. It's fine since I can always use Green Tea, but I do want to try their Lavender Black one day. I'll have to order it again. I have the Boba Guys' cookbook as well and have made the Black Sesame Latte, Strawberry Matcha Latte and Almond Pudding so far from the cookbook. I had to buy Agar Agar online for the Almond Pudding but it's totally worth it. It tasted amazing!!! So dangerous. I could eat the whole tray.
